I’ve always found that left handed reels made more sense for people that are right handed. It removes the need of switching the rod to the other hand after casting while also allowing your dominant arm to control the rod.
I agree, a lefty on light baitcasters for bass and whatnot. But for big fish, where I know my arm is going to get a workout, gotta have a righty.
That was a fun trip.

I fished lefty until I started fishing for SD bluefin. Now right only. You get to use your stronger hand to winch them in (if right-handed). Most other anglers, including deck hands prefer right if you need to hand them a rod for any reason. Plus more reel options in right.

1000 gram, what rod you put that on ? It's going to bend the rod no mater what you use.
Left handed reels are better to fight fish for right handed people. I want my stronger arm on the rod. Please do a left handed reel review

It's technically not a left handed reel....look at it like a right handed baseball player....glove in the left, control with the right.
Who cares if they use the rail or not, he paid his ticket let him fish, deckhands yelling at customers to do it a certain way won't get them back on your boat, some guys have been catching these fish when they were still in diapers.
