Actually Germany has a recycling system that also features different colored bags (yellow for plastic, green for residual waste and so on) and in some places it is even controlled by the house managers. They even got different pick up times here. So you know when to take out the trash without overflowing. Also, i never wear shoes inside the house either. I think that got very common in Germany past 10+ years aswell, since every friend i visited also takes off shoes in every house. It is even considered good manner to ask before entering the house if you should take them off or not. Pointing fingers at someone usually children do. Nowadays you learn that it's considered rude and you learn to use the entire hand to wave at someone. (But i see children and elderly people still pointing fingers but mostly it is ignored because you dont tell a old lady how to behave, that would be even more rude than pointing a finger) Not all people in Germany hug. Some also just wave and say goodbye. But it is more accepted in Germany that people kiss or hug each other to greet.

I'm french and I don't really like that side kiss. Even for the first time we met some people do this and everytime I'm like 😓. So to not "kiss" I basically say that I catched a cold😭😭
I only do that to my family, like cheek-cheek to the females, or the youngers kids. but my guy cousins it's the handshake and pat on the back/shoulder.
as a Moroccan that's one of the most thing I hate that the French colonization brought to our culture 💀 like I'm always confused on how many kisses the other is going for 😭 it's so embarrassing when you mess up

In the UK people might get a bit angry if you point at them especially if you don't know them because then they know that your talking about them and they might think your talking badly about them and we can wear shoes in the house but not upstairs because there's carpet
2:12 you still have to do that in Germany, too. I guess it's only individuals who don't do it, but Germany also has quite the rigid recycling system (imo even stricter than the Korean one - I have lived in Korea in 2019, too).
There are Korean practices I have already associated in my life that I wasn't aware of. But the pouring of alcohol shots and facing sideways whenever drinking a shoy will bring the damsel in me (which is not the case when I drink 🤣).
I'm from the countryside in the midwest ish south ish area of America and my fam would slap me if I wore shoes in the house 😂 or if I pointed I think some people just grew up with certain family values not exactly tied to where you come from. I would always hear "No shoes in the house!" My friends in Korea are always like I know you're American but please take your shoes off but like I know 😂
I live in the UK but I'm from Hungary and taking off shoes is a must in our culture too. Its super unhygienic to keep them on after walking around outside and stepping into god knows what. Visiting someone elses house and keeping your shoes on is pretty disrespectful and most people would usually be annoyed, unless they specifically say you can keep them on as they'll be cleaning their floors after.
In most Caribbean countries wearing shoes in the house can cause us to get our butts wooped. It's known as unhygienic. Also pointing fingers were always considered rude but when I was younger I did it anyway. I thought it was convenient to let my mom know who I was talking about although I'd get a scolding I still got to relay the information I wanted to tell lol 😂.
Korean face their hand down when they call other ‘ppl’. Up-sided hand (calling smb with the hand faces up) is often used for animal like dog.
Here almost no one wears shoes inside. Or like, in general lol. Sitting on the floor is real common too mostly for teens or kids if adults are on the couch but floor is fine anyway Recycling is a compulsory thing here but like you can be the trash you dispose of and throw it all together. We have glass, general, and paper/plastics/cardboard. We don't separate general and food waste, but you can't recycle soft plastics or broken glass. Growing up you weren't allowed to recycle things like milk bottle lids but you can now
Just Geenuh hi if you don’t mind me correcting, it should be “ 저도 “ because your end word is formal . If you want to use “ 나도 “ (informal or casual) you can say “ 나도 초대해줘! “ 💕
I find it interesting that Koreans also have the thing where you can't write names in red. In Portugal, at least where I lived, it was considered rude to write the name of a teacher in a red pen because it was basically telling them to f off. I never heard of it writing names other than your teacher being classified as a swear but to be honest birthday cards etc also weren't very popular. So...
I mean we do recycle quite a lot in germany. We also separate our trash and there's also a recycling option for plastic bottles. Just wanted to add that knowledge.
Taking off your shoes is a common tradition in East Europe too! If you don't take your shoes off, you'll be seen as a rude guest, the host may not always tell you off though (however, your reputation is already ruined a bit haha). It's okay to keep your shoes on if the host INSISTED on wearing them inside (but you should still take them off, usually the host is just being nice). If you aren't comfortable with not wearing your shoes (idk, many situations could arise, for example, maybe the host has dirty floor lol), then you should ask for slippers (usually every household in East Europe has a few spare pairs of slippers).
in america, shoes go either way. depends on the household and how much carpet is on the floor 😂😂 most of my friends with carpet take shoes off, but the houses with mostly wood, I've experienced have their shoes on.
People don't wear shoes in the houses in Saudi Arabia. They casually sit on the floor most of the people have their meals on the floor there and most of the people get their whole houses carpeted (at least the people I knew had it all carpeted) so people consider it bad manners if you bring shoes in the house there
Here in Algeria , it's also bad to point at someone , I did it a lot of times and i get kicked after that 😂 , especially if you don't know that person and like you point at that guy and you whisper at your friend's ear "woah that guy is hella handsome" obviously your friend would slap your hand to put it down because it's disrespectful and you could get caught and that person will think that you're talking bad about him or anything that will make him uncomfortable ^^ 😂
well im indian so our culture is pretty similar to korean when i was a kid i used to think removing shoes before entering or at the entrance of the house, not pointing at people and all these were general etiquettes.. but then i think its not like that in other countries
my family and some people i know do all of this except the "come here hand motion" and the drinking etiquette so i was shocked finding out people dont act like this since i grew up with it
I live in germany and im wondering why people DONT take off their shoes inside the house. Like you walk outside where people spit and pee on the ground and then wanna walk inside with that same shoes? Naahhh thats just straight up disgusting. Edit: actually not that many germans leave their shoes on inside the house but some do and i dont get it. 4 example i dont know anyone who does this.
As an Asian-American child I was dumbfounded that people did ALL of these things lmaooo. I just thought everyone was so rude ab the pointing and the shoes in the house was just weird to me. Then I realized its all normal lmao
Turkish people take their shoes off when entering a house too, when I was little I didn’t even know that there were people who kept their shoes on inside a house. I was so shocked when I found out lol. It’s pretty common to sit on the floor too. (I sit on the floor most of the time, it’s comfty :)
haha i said we do it too :D , but not as strict as koreans! Also it depends where you live i guess! Like in Berlin I saw soo many people not doing it, bc they are too lazy for that!

Im from Ontario 🇨🇦 and we recycle. Please recycle no matter where you live. Recycling is good for the environment, people who work at waste centres, and people who are affected by landfills. ❤️
I'm french and I don't really like that side kiss. Even for the first time we met some people do this and everytime I'm like 😓. So to not "kiss" I basically say that I catched a cold😭😭
Why don't you just shake somebody's hand instead of kissing? Will it be weird in France?
@@jungseup68 we do that when it's mostly business, like when we go to the bank. Well, we shake hands with the banker.
In my country we also greet with a kiss and maybe a hug too but to me it's so weird lmao I just want people to respect my personal space 😔
I only do that to my family, like cheek-cheek to the females, or the youngers kids. but my guy cousins it's the handshake and pat on the back/shoulder.
as a Moroccan that's one of the most thing I hate that the French colonization brought to our culture 💀 like I'm always confused on how many kisses the other is going for 😭 it's so embarrassing when you mess up
This video went by so quickly 😂😭
In the UK people might get a bit angry if you point at them especially if you don't know them because then they know that your talking about them and they might think your talking badly about them and we can wear shoes in the house but not upstairs because there's carpet
Unless there's carpet in the entire house
2:12 you still have to do that in Germany, too. I guess it's only individuals who don't do it, but Germany also has quite the rigid recycling system (imo even stricter than the Korean one - I have lived in Korea in 2019, too).
There are Korean practices I have already associated in my life that I wasn't aware of. But the pouring of alcohol shots and facing sideways whenever drinking a shoy will bring the damsel in me (which is not the case when I drink 🤣).
LOL! The Cabbage Patch Kid in the background! I braved crowds of hyper moms to get one of those when they first came out....
I'm from the countryside in the midwest ish south ish area of America and my fam would slap me if I wore shoes in the house 😂 or if I pointed
I think some people just grew up with certain family values not exactly tied to where you come from. I would always hear "No shoes in the house!"
My friends in Korea are always like I know you're American but please take your shoes off but like I know 😂
I live in the UK but I'm from Hungary and taking off shoes is a must in our culture too. Its super unhygienic to keep them on after walking around outside and stepping into god knows what. Visiting someone elses house and keeping your shoes on is pretty disrespectful and most people would usually be annoyed, unless they specifically say you can keep them on as they'll be cleaning their floors after.

I'm in England and recycling is a big thing here too. We have to separate everything!

Of course u do separate food waste in Germany as well
In most Caribbean countries wearing shoes in the house can cause us to get our butts wooped.

Sitting on the floor is real common too mostly for teens or kids if adults are on the couch but floor is fine anyway
Recycling is a compulsory thing here but like you can be the trash you dispose of and throw it all together. We have glass, general, and paper/plastics/cardboard. We don't separate general and food waste, but you can't recycle soft plastics or broken glass. Growing up you weren't allowed to recycle things like milk bottle lids but you can now
Actually we don't wear shoes inside the house too 😁😁😁🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿
Oh my gosh! You guys look like you have so much fun together!
Just Geenuh hi if you don’t mind me correcting, it should be “ 저도 “ because your end word is formal . If you want to use “ 나도 “ (informal or casual) you can say “ 나도 초대해줘! “ 💕
ᄋᄉᄅᄒ oh! Haha nice catch! Thank you for correcting me ^^
ᄋᄉᄅᄒ oh i learned a new thing thanks to you!
it’s mayaa no problem 💕
I find it interesting that Koreans also have the thing where you can't write names in red. In Portugal, at least where I lived, it was considered rude to write the name of a teacher in a red pen because it was basically telling them to f off. I never heard of it writing names other than your teacher being classified as a swear but to be honest birthday cards etc also weren't very popular. So...
Other things that were common at least in my area: Taking off your shoes, the kiss greeting and pointing is considered rude.
In Albanian culture we don’t wear shoes in the house either lol i feel like it’s an American thing
americans wear shoes inside their house? that’s weird lol
kimnamjoonsballs for the most part, when I visit my American friends house they don’t mind shoes on in the house but I take them off anyway 😂
Ilayda ist mega sympathisch!!! :D
We don't wear shoes in house in Uzbekistan too. And pointing thing and sitting on floor is common there
Da série: UA-cam me recomendou.
This was actually so helpful thanks lol
The doll tho ㅋㅋㅋㅋ I got chills
I was thinking the same, i just wanted to lock her in a room to not see it
It's a Koosa doll. They were very popular in the 80's. It's aesthetic and cute actually ! :)

in america, shoes go either way. depends on the household and how much carpet is on the floor 😂😂 most of my friends with carpet take shoes off, but the houses with mostly wood, I've experienced have their shoes on.
I think in Egypt the recycling place or company do the separation thing after they collect all the bags from every where.
Actually, in germany we don't wear any shoes inside the house either and recycle the garbage too
well im indian so our culture is pretty similar to korean
when i was a kid i used to think removing shoes before entering or at the entrance of the house, not pointing at people and all these were general etiquettes.. but then i think its not like that in other countries
“I’ll be your first Korean” i- whhhheeeeeezzedddd!
my family and some people i know do all of this except the "come here hand motion" and the drinking etiquette so i was shocked finding out people dont act like this since i grew up with it
I live in germany and im wondering why people DONT take off their shoes inside the house.
I love this!
I'm from middle europe and we also take our shoes off inside, always! It's so weird to me that americans don't do that.
This is very informative. Thanks tor thissss 😁
Turkish people take their shoes off when entering a house too, when I was little I didn’t even know that there were people who kept their shoes on inside a house. I was so shocked when I found out lol. It’s pretty common to sit on the floor too. (I sit on the floor most of the time, it’s comfty :)
2:20 lol isit just me or that guy mehdi is flexing his korean lol.....
Im confused about what Ilayda said ab9ut recycling, we recycle almost the same way as in korea 🤔
haha i said we do it too :D , but not as strict as koreans! Also it depends where you live i guess! Like in Berlin I saw soo many people not doing it, bc they are too lazy for that!
@@ilaila-2736 ohh right! Berlin must be a different story, in the countryside and smaller cities its almost the same as in korea :D
Are you a Korea boo ( cuz your name )
