This was the video that convinced me to purchase my 2009 lancer gts. Have owned the car for 3 years and I love it. Decent gas mileage, the gearing was designed to be more sporty with great throttle response so I can only eek out 27 mpg on the highway which is decent, I wish it got as good gas mileage as my brothers 2012 Mazda 3 skyactiv engine, but his cars engine feels so much more laggy for better mpg's. The factory option Rockford fosgate system is my favorite aspect about this car. It's that good, the bass sounds great without being overwhelming unless you want it to be, then you can simply adjust the subwoofer punch, a seperate setting from the actual bass of the music. The navigation/music storage system is great, I have over 20 cd's saved into my car, saves me time from setting up my phone for music. This was my first car at 19 that I payed for myself and I don't regret it. Fantastic first car for people wondering.
For clarification I watched this video 3 years ago in 2012. I love my lancer gts, I plan on upgrading in a couple of years only because I want my next car to be a manual. The cvt is nice and responsive but it just wasn't my thing since I've turned into a driving enthusiast the past few years and been wanting a faster car that is a stick shift. I do love my car so much I don't plan on selling it, just going to keep it in the family and give it to my sister when she graduates high school. Always been a reliable runner with the preventative maintenance I have done to it
For anyone looking at this video in 2019. I have a 2015 Lancer ES and i really love it! I always wanted a sporty car to fit my budget and slowly but surely i was able to get it to be 3x better. With the help of a couple of mods, this car is amazing ! Best MPG for a sports car too. I recommend to anyone who wants a sports car and/or getting a first car. I always been iffy about Mitsubishi's but this car changed my mind completely. What got me to get this car was many of my good friends having one including an evo 8. Joined them and now we pull up on car meet ups with ppl loving to see us
elegate87 I know this comment is old, but I'm looking to buy a used Lancer. How many miles do they last? At least for your car? Is it a bad idea to buy one at 90k mileage?
I bought my Lancer at 49k miles and it is now at 96k miles. I honestly don't regret purchasing it, best car I could have asked for. Only gripes I have are 1: I wish the gas mileage was better, I average 28-29mpgs on the highway which isn't great compared to other cars in the compact car area 2: with the Rockford Fosgate sound system, since I've had my subwoofer cranked up to high punch for the past 45k miles, the plastic trim behind the back seats rattle bad from loosening from the high bass of the sub, I've had to turn my subwoofer and bass down to low so the rattle doesn't annoy me. 3: Mitsubishi's have a bad resale value, so make sure when you buy one, you either plan on keeping it for a long time or be prepared to sell it for alot lower than what you bought it for. But my experience, I can say that I love this car and nothing has gone wrong. I change the oil every 5k miles and all the other preventative maintenance and it's been a reliable runner. Super fun car to drive, and my gf loves the way it looks, she says it's a great looking car
So when it comes to the GTS trim, I'd say buy one if it's been taken care of, 90k miles shouldn't be a problem for these cars. Just make sure it's been taken care of. Lower trim models like the ES, can't say for sure if it's worth buying
Unfortunately I was involve in a accident and my insurance declared my car a total loss. This happened when the car had 50,000 miles. Therefore I can't say it would be a good idea to get a lancer that has 90K miles on it. My lancer was still new I hadn't done any mechanical work on it just changing the filters and doing the oil change at the dealer. No crazy expenses were done when I had the car. The only thing that I can think of is just the tires. Sorry this is the best response I can give you.
The Mitsubishi Lancer is a great car. This gen is my favorite too. Not only is it the star of Asphalt 9: Legends (yes, the Gamejolt racing game) it's also the perfect mix of average city sedan and beastly racing coupe. If cash didn't exist, I'd buy this car right now.
Front wheel drive. I have the 2009 Lancer GTS. And it's been very reliable so far. Also, it gets good gas mileage as it's a 4 cylinder. The only thing missing in the 2009 that is in the 2010 is the cover for the front cup holders and the "Push to reveal" things that cover up the AUX and Power Outlet. Well, those are the only things I see different.
I'm from Australia..Brisbane..I drove a 2009 model..I been fucked up all kinds of cars on the highway..haha..subaru,holden,Ford, even I smoke a Mustang and a Skyline..haha..they are very powerful and fun to drive..people just judged them but have no experience at all about them because they haven't drive them..
yea i have this car to the exact one in white its incredible its really fast and the great thing is when you switch it to manual the car picks up speed like crazy and great on gas
This is a few months off, but those cloth seats are so comfortable. They feel like velvet. But hey, everyone has their preferences. I just stay away from leather because I live where it can get to 110 degrees in the summer.
I got the 2013 Honda CR-Z three weeks ago. I worked my ass off since I got out of high school to save for a car. I have a very low monthly payment and I got a good finance rate. I love the car.
Exactly the same car is still being produced and sold by Mitsubishi in Brazil. They only changed the radio for a multimedia and put leather in the seats. And the price is 3x or 4x more than in US. Luck you guys from US.
Your reviews and videos are al l great but it would be cool to see you really pushing the performance of the cars in the test drives. Like accelerate hard and get going pretty fast out. That would be pretty cool to see.
look so cool , I like the sporty look with the paddle shift transmission , manual is cool but it gets a little annoying when comes to traffic and with this car have both auto and manual so it fits well :D
tis is a very nice car i think the look is very handsome yet agressive. also it seems that this car is another victim of the dreaded CVT transmission LOL or is it a really smooth 6spd? if so that is the smoothest transmissions ive heard on such a car .
The car looks fucking great from the outside. the inside is another story, but its acceptable. think its worth it when compared to the 2009 honda civic since that car has a better interior but the outside looks like trash.
I think the interior looks pretty good. In my honest opinion, Mitsubishi is a criminally underrated car brand from Japan. This Lancer looks stylish and has a very aggressive front end; from certain angles, you could easily mistake for a Dodge Charger. What I didn't know about the Mitsubishi Lancer is that undercover police officers in Australia use it.
The only real difference I see between this and mine is the paddle shifters (And aftermarket stuff on mine). What's the difference between gets and vrx?
@LordKevin92 thanks:) ive been looking at this car for a while and i never thought about the license plate. I have also been interested in this car so i hope one day i'll be able to get it. Anyways thanks again:)
azzeFR Эд Красный ReviewAssUSA Thanks for you opinions. 6 months ago I bought a dark grey 2010 Golf 6 1.4 TSI. Only 122 hp but with the turbo it feels more than quick.
@oddferkout actually I am so used to CVT now, that I can't stand automatic transmissions. It feels so odd when you feel the car shift. The CVT makes the ride so smooth :) seems odd, but its great!
The song at 5:08, does anybody know the name? Well, the car review was very good. Specially I could see how the RPMs of cvt are in normal use. Is it true that cvt "decelerates" the car when you leave the gas pedal, giving the same 'breaking' impression of a manual car engaged? I prefer this kind of behavior, but I dont find this in normal auto cars...
CVT transmissions are pretty good but on smaller cars. My Mom's 09 Nissan Sentra has a CVT and despite the engine being a 4 cylinder it's only revving at 2k rpm on the highway, no drone and good fuel economy.
My cousin has a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer she used to have a Outlander but it was nothing but problems so she trade it to get a Lancer she loves it it,s been very good to her no problems
@Karnage542 Awesome, Ford is the only US manufacturer I would purchase from. The Mustangs are gorgeous as well, more of a pony car though, instead of a Lancer Rally. Like the Subaru Impreza WRX STI too.
This car looks so edgy and aggressive with those headlights and taillights that look as though someone is giving an angry scowl. The iron gray paint color reminds me of a tornado because tornadoes are an angry force of nature.
Hello from Russia. It is very interesting to look for the difference between options for US and Russia. We have only 1.5 1.8 and 2.0 engines. 2.4 for small car... It should be very fast. What price for this car in US? P.S. Sorry for my bad english.
@datpimpinboy True, you will get the best mpg and smoothest ride with a CVT.... but some people don't care for that. Some people want a clutch pedal, want to mod their car to get even more power, stiffen the suspension to get better handling, and will roll their windows down to hear every sweet decibel of their exhaust and engine. Also, those people also don't buy Altimas.
Umm, no offense but stick is better then CVT in the long run. I have my lancer in CVT and I am very displeased with it. There aren't many things you can do to the transmission in regards to mods. Thats where having manual has its benefits. The ralliart comes in a form of automatic, but is actually a TC-SST transmission. In my opinion, the ralliart is the way to go if you cant afford an EVO.
@Projective CVT= Continuously Variable Transmission. Long story short, you don't feel the shift shock and it does not shift unless you put it in manual mode. It's a different type of Automatic transmission. You can google it for an exact definition. It's like 3 AM and i'm too lazy to type it all out. Sorry lol.

Thank you 🙏🏻 helpful
@@Videoswag23 runs great! Bought it at 50k miles in 2012 and 8 years later it has 140k miles and haven't had an issue yet.
Cvt is the deal breaker that makes thther gts trash. I own one currently so I know what im talking about. Any manual is better and most automatics.

I am considering buying one because of how easy the modding is.
what mod did you add on your lancer and how much of a difference did they make ? :D
Even though I have my very own 2013 lancer I still love watching this video
same here lol this video actually helped me buy my 09 lancer gts

Thanks for the in-depth tour. I'm going to see if I can get one of these things used after I get a job.

Very professional review, Kyle. Liked!

Wow the sound system sounds superb on that thing. The music is clean.
Thinking about picking up one of these because I don’t want to keep stacking miles on my Evo X but I still want something I know.
Kyle, as always awesome videos bud. BTW did u tape the camera to ur forehead, cause it moves as u move ur head?
Thank you for the tour, excellent details of what I needed to know.

its fine, everything depends on the owner
Did you just do a test drive with no plates lol

Beautiful looking 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS
look so cool , I like the sporty look with the paddle shift transmission , manual is cool but it gets a little annoying when comes to traffic and with this car have both auto and manual so it fits well :D
What a car!
How much do these cars cost nowadays? Thinking of getting this as a first car
LAX Aviation 4500 in canada
These Mitsubishi Lancers with that exact same mileage are worth between $4,655 and $5,824 according to Kelley Blue Book
Get one in awd
Thanks to this great video I will be purchasing a lancer
Hopefully buying a black version of this exact car this weekend, it'll be my first car
i love this car
and keep up the great work
Also are you going to make a full test-drive of the lancer? Please!!!!!
Is the speakers in the back in the trunk with or without the touring package? I thought this is without because there is no leather seats. Thanks
I know someone who has a 2009 model of this, not as fully loaded as this one but still not a bad looking car overall
tis is a very nice car i think the look is very handsome yet agressive. also it seems that this car is another victim of the dreaded CVT transmission LOL or is it a really smooth 6spd? if so that is the smoothest transmissions ive heard on such a car .
@saabkyle04 are mitsubishi's reliability good? because i was thinking about getting one
@Projective
I'm still awake haha. I'm going now. Happy New Year dude!
I like how he always honks te horn when he starts it!
i like your videos dud deep tours
This is my drivers ed car! :))
Do the sub woofers in the truck come stock?
Could you please tell us the price that the vehicle is being sold for or the msrp? This would help people looking to buy a car a lot.
how reliable is this car for everyday use because im trying to find a nice looking car for my mom to get and this has a sporty look
the 2007-present Mitsubishi Lancer is assembled in
Mizushima plant, Kurashiki, Okayama, Japan
Yay just bought this but 2011 model love it
Was that sub factory? Probably a stupid question, but it looks really clean.

kyle, can you please try to get the outlander sport?
Kyle, what would you say about the CVT? I hate it personally. That's why i can't look into the new nissans and Mitsubishis.
Ye i have this car it does decelerate giving a somewhat breaking impression very similar to a manual, you can feel it going down in gears.

The only thing you seemed to have missed in the tour was the USB port. The Mitsubishi engineers hid it on the roof of the glove box.
You serious??? I’ve been loooking for the goddamn thing since I got my 2011 GTS a couple of days ago😭
@Karnage542 Awesome, Ford is the only US manufacturer I would purchase from. The Mustangs are gorgeous as well, more of a pony car though, instead of a Lancer Rally. Like the Subaru Impreza WRX STI too.
does the automatic come with the paddle shifters? or is it an option?
Can you make video about the new lancer 2013 ex gt plz
Pretty cool car, though all that beeping from the keyless feature would probably start to get annoying.
Can you do a review on 2012 lancer se AWC?
