I think that the reason some of us hear these better is because our brain has remembered the lyrics better, so, for example, the more you listen a song, the clearer you will be able to hear it. Basically, your brain is reminding you that you have an addiction.

I think the better you know the song, the easier it is to recognize the singer’s voice hidden in all of the piano. Once you catch hold of that voice, you can’t ever un-hear it.
The song I listen to the most is “Fireflies” by Owl City. The sad thing is that I hear this song with more clarity. Well... it’s probably because my cousin played it non-stop when I went to visit him. Thanks, cuz.

I've done a few of these with voice recordings (not published here), and like Марина Соловьёва said, it doesn't work well. It seems in everybody I've gotten to help me with comparison testing, it is much easier on your head to fill in words when there's music than if it is plain speech, sorta like how songs can help you remember stuff in general.

You actually can hear the lyrics, or at least the vowels because of harmonics. Each vowel has its own harmonic. A harmonic is the combination of notes, but keeping the "original" note that makes us hear vowels (And its obviously easier to hear if you know the lyrics).So you can talk with a piano.
