Yeah, these are really good builds that use the natural environment to help round out the whole look and feel of things. It's the little gems like these that a lot of people are looking for.
Thank you Gary!! That means a lot :) yeah I think building in Conan is a nice chill affair so why try and give it the Michael bay treatment when making videos haha. Glad you like the style, plenty more where that came from!
I just dicovered your channel and noticed it's been a year since you uploaded. I really hope you consider coming back with build videos because these would be insane to see and nobody else does them like you!
Very impressive. I love watching videos like these because I have a builder friend who creates structures you would not believe. I keep telling him to make videos or to get into level design.
Thank you! Definitely keep encouraging them, my friends used to say the same about my far cry map builds back in the day and kept telling me my conan builds were good until I thought "let's give it a go on UA-cam!"
Thank you shelbo! Glad you like it, I may be following up this with a salvaged watchtower mk2 as another commentor pointed out a good tower south of asguard
Glad I’m not the only one that hates ladders in this game. If they were an useable item, like every other game, it wouldn’t be a problem. But instead it’s just a surface to climb on. So getting down you better make sure you have your falling wall grab down pat.
Oh I despise them! I recently did a treehouse base on an official pve server and after the first time climbing up, only to miss the ledge at the top and fall down again, I instantly remembered why I don't use them normally... Can confirm though - if you play pc the less building placement restrictions mod deffo allows the elevators, the upper elevator actually looks really cool too as it pokes out through the roof and adds to the whole ramshackle wooden beam look
Really nice little build. This would be a great, low effort build for a PvE or RP-PvE server. I could see a lone exile making her or his home in a base like this, built in one of the many ruined towers that dot the landscape- or even in the pretty sound tower south of New Asgard. Even small clan of 2-4 could be comfortable here. It looked like there was enough room for a few more of the smaller beds. Of course, some of the chests and barrels would need to be relocated and or stacked more. I do have a question about the bonfire- does that not require constant fuel to burn? If so, a brazier would make for a great alternative to the bonfire, as it would provide the same light and heat, w/o the fuel cost. A small campfire placed on top of the stove would work for cooking.
Nice build. Reclamation projects are always fun but add the extra challenge of matching to the existing structure. Good choices there. My personal favourite near there is the abandoned but not ruined watchtower south of New Asagarth. Just put a floor in (the treehouse foundation fits almost perfectly) and build out from there. Hope you had a refreshing break, it's good to see you back.
@@jimmerding I'm glad you find it useful. Flattered. At one point, early on, I was so excited to find such a well maintained structure... Then I realized there was no sandstorm up that way and the weather, while rainy, is very mild. The perfect low effort shelter... in a place one doesn't actually need shelter. XD I almost wonder if they had meant to put something there and just forgot. It's almost too well preserved to be abandoned.
I built in that tower once on my SP, just to see what I could do with it. It's been a while, but I think I used insulated wood for it and maybe a thatch roof or the wooden roof that is generally paired with the stonebrick set. I wish I still had the screen shot, but I do not have access to it anymore. It looked pretty good, though it was far from being large enough to hold crafting stations. If I had wanted to, though, I could have done something like Jimmerding did here and built a ground level area for those. However, my goal at the time was just to build a useable shelter inside the tower and on top of it.
I have a question unrelated to this video. I saw a 'viking' castle a while back (at least a year ago, probably longer) built on one of the little hills near Telith's Island in the north. I absolutely loved it and have not been able to find the video again. Was that you who made it?
A note on those PvE servers where containers are not able to be locked. hiding them behind a wall, under a ceiling tile, or, if pick up is not an option, under a hatch frame and door works wonders for keeping thieves at bay. The space being shown in creation @5:47 would be ideal for hidden storage. Especially if the two foundations immediately behind it were replaced with arena ceiling tiles. While this was turned into the Wheel of Pain area, if anything, this would make it even more hidden, as the torturer's bench could be used to hide a hatch door. (I beleive base game does allow for crafting stations to be picked up now. Is this correct?)
Some impressive architecture, I remember your FarCry maps round Pugs and they were better than the devs. Things have definitely progressed since then 😀
i instantly fell in love with this and gave my best to rebuild your creation:) but i have to ask you: what are those banner-like poles with the little flag on it please? :D
If you loved skyrim you'll have a good time on conan, they are a little different though! No hand holding or objective markers - you figure it out for yourself and or watch youtube vids 😂 there's also not much in the way of full fledged merchants with buy/sell, though there are some dotted around that you can buy a single thing from. Combat is harder but more varied and rewarding. I'd highly recommend buying it!

Nice one pal. No crazy music, no shouty voice, subbed.

Excellent build. I really like doing salvaged location builds and this has given me some new ideas. Thanks.
Sweet build. I love reclaiming ruins.
Thanks man! Yeah me too, has made me want to experiment a lot more :)

I would love to see a Hindu inspired castle using the Turanian pack. With a lovely throne room
you can do the same thing with any doorway and fence as well
Very nice build 👍
Amazing build, really loved it! I built something similar one day, it was a little bigger though. Music was very nice also, pretty good video!
Love it. Great job on the build and the video

Nice build mate
Cheers dude :) glad you enjoyed it!
Long time no see. Hope you are doing well..
Wonderful build! What do you think of the 3.0 building?

I'm doing a "mk 2" video of this build using that tower now! Nice spot!! Will give you a little shout out :)

Can we see some tavern builds for the new update?

Haha cheers mate! Yes, the far cry maps where I'd hide some sneaky op weapon or emplacement only I knew about 😂 those were the days!
Are you doms roundtable or did you have just the exactly same voices? Great viedeos btw!
