Honestly the best way around the slowdown on the C64 port is...use a 128

Or use an accelerator to keep the gameplay smooth (for C64 NTSC)

@@fnjesusfreak yup! Gruz made a new video and explains that if too many enemies come to the screen at once, the game slows down, but adding the accelerator would keep it smooth like nothing happened
