    Getting their name from the rugged terrain that they were designed to tackle, the TCX Baha Boots showcase an arsenal of features from the TCX line that make rides better for aficionados of the off-road. Coming with the choice between Gore-Tex or TCX’s proprietary waterproofing, each version of the Baja Boots is well-equipped to work as hard as the riders who wear them en route to their destination. Additional features of the TCX Baja Boots include a broken-in full grain leather outer that has been combined with suede accents as well as an advanced ergonomic shin plate.

    What would you say about the waterproof in the mid? Looking for mid boots and really like these but trying to see if I should choose ones with goretex for the same prices, since I use my bike all winter.

    I am trying to track down two pair of boot. Brown Baja moto and black Engineer boots order on December 28 2022. They were on face boot and I paid for them. Just haven't got them. Can you help?

    Thanks for the vid! Could this be considered a succesor to the TCX X-Desert? Same leather design, Goretex, metal buckles, CFS.. how would it compare in terms of protection?

    • @RevZilla

      Yes, they could be considered a successor to the X-Desert. These Baja Boots provide very similar CE-rated protection as well. -DrewZilla

    How would these compare to the Sidi Adventure or Alpinestars Toucan? Stiffer/softer? More/less protection? More off-road or more street/touring bias? Love the videos!

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  6 років тому +3

      The Sidi Adventures offer the most protection and have the narrowest fit. The Toucans also offer great ankle protection, flexibility, and a wider fit while being lighter than the Sidis. The Toucans also have a little more sole flex. These TCX Baja Boots don't have a hinged ankle, so they aren't as flexible there. The sole is also stiffer like the Sidi Adventures, so they're good for standing on the pegs. They're a good balance of on- and off-road riding. Like Anthony says, they're great for taking an F800GS cross-country on highways, backroads, and fire roads. -DrewZilla

    Is TCX baja better than Forma Terra boots?

    Are these going to be much better for touring with some walking around compared to the A* Toucans?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  5 років тому +1

      Not really. I actually find the Toucans to be a bit more comfortable for walking around due to the ankle hinge. -DrewZilla

      I like the TCX Baja Boots more, because the soles are better for pavement and touring bikes. -DrewZilla

    I’m looking for something for TOURING & Mild OffRoads in the Hills. Some Slush/Mud/Ice/Rocks. What ya suggest the Gore Tex or the Regular Leather ones. Any other boots ya will suggest ? I want something with a better life & quality. I hope the leather doesn’t sag along with time on these & they deform like the forma Adv’s .
    What ya suggest ??

      Hi Vincent. Were you able to decide on the boot for your requirements? I was leaning towards the TCX BAJA / TCX STELVIO BY ROYAL ENFIELD. Confused now with that between TCX and Gaerne Dakar. Thoughts/Suggestions? Would love to hear about your decision too.

      @@dudefromcbee not yet bro. As I’m too occupied with work & travel & both the motorcycles are parked in a different location. Will be working on both by month end as both of them are parked since last 1.5 years. The RE one is a good option, i am getting it for under 16 & I became confused again between toucan & Baja.
      I’ll tell ya a simple thing. Gaerne will be superior in terms of quality & craftsmanship as well as the Dakar will offer ya better protection.
      Baja is a good boot if I consider it under 16k but obviously it lacks protection & overtime the leather will sag. Plus due to oiled leather it it gets wet will take more time to dry as compared to the alpine toucan I’m comparing too. Gaerne will be hard to get in india but it’s gonna be a one time but & will last longer than the Tcx or alpine & will offer better protection. The only thing which is steep is the pricing. Tcx is also a better option but I might also fall for the toucan rather than the tcx

      @@dudefromcbee plus to claim the warranty/guarantee on RE if any will be better I guess. That can also be a plus point

      @@vincewwe4lyf Thanks bro. That really helps. I was also thinking on the long run, Dakar will last longer and protect better. Between Toucan and Dakar, it's better to go with Dakar because of the better hinge and ankle protection. Dakar is INR 35000 available at lazy ass bikers, mumbai. They are the official importers.

      @@vincewwe4lyf Also I was just wondering about Gaerne Fastback enduro. Way better protection and long life. It will be hard initially to break in, but will last much longer and superior protection. Not sure about how manageable it will be with INT 650. Same cost as Dakar.

      Another wide footed person here. Gaerne seems to have a nice, wide foot bed. I have also resorted to buying shoes and boots a size larger to put the wide portion of the sole a little farther forward. The arch isn't always in the best position, but my feet aren't pinched or squished at the toe.
