A harder approach needs to be taken when a student is known to have made threats of violence as this shooter did last year. No consequences equals no lesson. If kids are expelled if they make serious threats and parents must home school, the parents will take it more seriously.
That being said, anyone anonymous caller can get a kid suspended which doesn’t seem fair. Also, this will lead to kids not posting it online and doing it on their own.

Kids not posting their intent, but taking action on their own as a result of being expelled, would have to be home schooled with parental control. No, not fool-proof, but if a student known to have been expelled approached the school with a weapon, security would surely know what the kid looked like and would stand a better chance of preventing the potential shooter interior access. In short, there has to be a better way of protecting children, school workers and educators. Responsibility and consequences must be a big part of it. Clearly, we must do better.

They were warned and apparently did nothing of substance. They didn't close the schools. They didn't round up known individuals who have threatened schools (the gunmen was one of them), and they didn't immediately go to lockdown when school started and search the lockers/school. The fact that I live so close to where the shooting happened and I was in school, I have the hours that the shooting happened. They put us underneath a soft lockdown drill. It wasn’t really a drill. I learned once my mom picked me up. She said that there had been a huge shooting, Appalachia high school, my friend has an older brother who graduated last year but also my past babysitter has gone there last year. Her brother is still in there and was one of the nine who were injured.

The fact that I live so close to where the shooting happened and I was in school, I have the hours that the shooting happened. They put us underneath a soft lockdown drill. It wasn’t really a drill. I learned once my mom picked me up. She said that there had been a huge shooting, Appalachia high school, my friend has an older brother who graduated last year but also my past babysitter has gone there last year. Her brother is still in there and was one of the nine who were injured.
Ahh this student shooting happened 20 years ago at same high school. That is weird!!

In the south it was commonplace to have a gun rack in the back of your pickup truck to go hunting afterschool. But now we all have to suffer because of a few mentally unstable kids who weren't taught right from wrong....

My brother friends who are still at school in apalachee this day during this hard lockdown my brother friends on snap chat took picture of the dead teacher or unconscious teacher on the floor and it was post on snap chat group chat by accident.
There suposed to lock there guns up though,if the parent didnt they should get jail time too
Kid was a right wing troll. He should be charged as an adult but i do find it sad in the sense that he learned that behavior from somewhere. We all know young kids are sponges.
