She was a proud EMT on the civilian side, so it’s awesome to see her continuing her passion in the Army.

How about a day in the life of a combat medic while deployed?

Yeah, they should've showed a day in the life of a Line Medic, those are the ones that are assigned to an infantry, scout or other squads that are on the front line. This was a bad showcase for the 68 Whiskeys... This was awful

@@tonypacheco2484 if she isn’t attached to infantry whats the point of a COMBAT medic?

@@tonypacheco2484 I really hate to say this but it feels 100% intentional because I've met real 68whiskeys and most are fucked up from the trauma they'd have to constantly deal with.....be truthful, as a 68w, you are the first responder to a combat casualty, there's real chaos they don't want to show

@@johngeffrard4970 68w is a very versatile MOS, they're trained to provide emergency medical aid on the front lines but their medical skills are also useful in the clinic. Combat medics aren't always attached to an infantry unit simply because the military needs their skills elsewhere. That doesn't mean they'll never see combat

The Army is actually such a great opportunity. Excited to go with this MOS into the Army. I hope my four years enlisted as a 68W help me become a great officer in the medical field with the Army. #Gold Bar

I really feel like if they station you in a clinic it should be a different MOS, the "Combat" part of the name combat medic should mean you get put with line units

Are you able to complete college class in your schedule as a 68w? Is there enough time for that you think or is it too much? Cause I’m thinking of doing it but also want to get my bachelors for after active duty
