I love how you kept it minimal and still got all the essentials needed. The perineal spray and mesh undies are ones I didn’t have, but was provided in the hospital.I had an emergency CS and the mesh undies are very comfy to wear right after, even brought a few to wear at home.
This vlog is really helpful esp for a first time mom like me. Can you also do a nursery room video and top things to shop to prepare for you baby. I am a little bit lost and overwhelmed of all the things I need to prepare.
I stopped watching other video for this and here I am, taking notes of the things I think I'll be needing when I get pregnant 2 to 3 yrs from now 😂 😂 I hope my notes will still be available when that time comes or maybe remember to look for this video again 😂
Hi Ms Cams! Just some suggestions from a NICU nurse. Pack simple and with label for your baby. Receiving blanket: just simple ones/white ones because it will get some bloodstains after delivery( 1 swaddle blanket, tie-side baby clothes, mittens and booties). After taking a bath: If they take your baby for a bath after 6 or 24 hours still the baby is at the NICU just give them same as above. Rooming-in clothes: When your baby is ready for rooming in with you, if you want to give another sets of clothes with designs or fancy one so when they give the baby to you she is picture ready to pose hahah. Discharge clothes: your preference *Separate EXTRA ONES in case accidentally leakage with pee and poops.
Yeah I didn’t know I needed more!! Thanks for this! I was scared to bring so much but apparently I need to bring more sets for baby pala. Thank you again!
Hi Camille! I would recommend for you to use compression socks instead of regular socks after delivery. This will help with swelling and circulation. Bringing a handheld fan may help too. You will feel very hot and sweaty while pushing. Hubs can hold it for you. Also, don't forget to orient hubs where and how everything is packed. God bless your family!
for the hospital essentials: betadine fem wash the medical kind. coz it’s OB recommended for down there after giving birth. helps with antibacterial and wound healing.
The things you mentioned on your birth plan are all part of the hospital protocol and the Essential Newborn Care mandated by the DOH so it'll all be done. Good luck w your delivery. Been watching Cokoro since before you guys got married and to see you through another milestone, I feel so happy to witness it with you. God bless!!
Advice that I can give regarding washing your fem area (if you've given birth via NSD), ask your ob first whether you can wash using warm water, because it will depend on the type of suture that was used, my OB told me not to wash with warm water as it will easily melt the suture and it won't synchronise with the expected healing time down there
I'm a preggy mom also kaya I screenshot all item she is showing hahaha. Thank you for this Ms.Camille😘😘😘 A very helpful video for a first time mommy like me
Are you bringing toiletries for you and your hubs? And pads are easier than diaper. Here in the US you can also bring essential oils for calming. A lot of these stuff are for post partum. What about prepartum? During labor whats the essentials? You can also bring a jacket or cardigan
Yes! Have the labor oils with me too! I’m actually separating my bag essentials even more than what I initially showed here. A separate labor bag so it’s easier :)
Hi Mommy Cams ❤ it is much better to have separate pack for baby's clothes per day para its easier for you or your companion to give or dress the baby 😊 that's what happen when I gave birth, hehe. Much better if mas organized para not too stressful after birth 😊 have a safe delivery ❤ #babycokoroontheway ❤
I agree. Cos you’re just going to hand over the baby’s clothes to the nurse who’s going to bathe your baby in the nursery. They don’t do it in room with you.
Extra pillows (for you and Joni) because hospitals usually just provide 2. And for extra praning tool, a portable UV wand. Hubby can UV the bed etc while waiting for you and the baby. It will take his stress away while killing germs hehehe 😉
The first 2 months are gonna be challenging, me also as a first time mom was caught u prepared emotionally and mentally, i love my baby so much but ofcourse, sleepless and tiring nights are gonna test u tlga.. so okay din if youll also prepare by reading i spiring stories and what to expect.. so that it wouldnt lead to post partum blues.. Lalo, nkakaanxiety now dhl ull.reallt be overprotective with ur baby.. but a good support fro. Loved ones and prayers will really help. Bless u, baby and hubs. 🙏
For the baby: I don't know what's the SOP with your chosen hospital, but with mine they will ask for (1 diaper, 1 receiving blanket, set of clothes (preferably tie sides), bonnet) better put them in one ziplock so daddy koro wont have to open all the bags, just grab and go! For the baby's belly button, it's better to leave them to air dry after cleaning so that it will dry and fall faster.
OMG just gave birth last week. At sana napanood ko to when i was packing my hospital bag haha. Wished i got to try the tucks healing pads. Hemorrhoids are the worst!! Skipped a few parts of the vid but kung wala kang lysol baby sa bag, maybe you can bring too. We spray lysol everytime may pumapasok o lumalabas sa room. Esp sa door knobs. And i prefer maternity pads than diapers. Parang hassle kasi tanggalin ang diaper. And you can try prune juice kung mahirapan ka mag dumi hehe. It works for me every time im constipated and also helped afer i gave birth. Hope you this and hope this helps :)
hi. maybe you'll need some milk storage containers or bags since you're bringing pump. you may want to save the colostrum and an ice pack and small cooler for the milk you can collect. praying for all preggies to have a safe and delivery 😊
Hey Camille! Dont forget to inform your OB and residents of the topical ointments and creams that you’ll be using for... down there 😂 case to case kasi, some moms can get different degrees of lacerations at birth, so better if they know para they can advise you to go for it or not. Hehe have a safe delivery!! 😍
Watching this video for the second time na. Im a first time mom and im now 28 weeks pregnant. Im starting to list down the things we will be needing in the hospital and this video really helps. I adore you for being so organized. btw, I was able to get the Tucks medicated cooling pads already. hehe I told myslef i should get one after watching this video.hehe Thank you!❤
I'm more comfortable with modess's maternity pads than adult diaper though 😆 with my first baby (natural delivery) but with my 2nd, I had an emergency CS so no choice, had to use diaper buti nalang the one provided by my hospital was quite comfy (jeezz the bleeding after the cs plus the its difficult to stand and pee)..Oh ~ the beauty of giving birth 😆😂 good luck mommy !
Hi Ms. Camille! Not entirely baby related but I hope to clear out some of the terminologies you use, being a Biochemistry graduate, biomedical researcher and registered Chemist. The terms “Chemical-free” and “Organic” are just huge marketing ploys. Everything in this earth is made up of CHEMICALS and anything that is made-up of primarily carbon, oxygen and hydrogen atoms (which is basically all food and products we put on our body) is considered ORGANIC. Not all synthetic chemicals are bad! Case in point, most drugs are synthetic. At the same time, not everything natural is good. There are also toxic chemicals to humans that are also abundant in nature. The key is to KNOW YOUR CHEMICALS, as with anything you should put on or inside your body. Wishing you a safe delivery and excited to meet baby CoKoro!
I did not know a birth plan is necessary rin pala. For me, parang walang tiwala sa doctor? Thoughts ko lang naman, bago kasi sakin yung concept ng birth plan :) Good luck and praying for your safe delivery ❤️
Bring more diapers! Newborn usually poops 4-6 times a day. There are even times na after you've cleaned them and put on new diaper, hindi mo pa nate-tape biglang magpupoop again. 🤣🤣🤣
its alright to be overprepared than underprepared. She also mentioned that they've chosen a hospital farther from their home so that's understandable that she brings all the things she feels that are essential: its much more hassle to go home and bring to hospital the things you need but you lack/you did not bring on your packagr. Just my thoughts :)
Giving birth is already a scary thing then add an ongoing pandemic to the situation pa! You’re doing good Camille! A mom will always think of all the possible things that their kids will need all the time. Praying for good health and safe delivery for you and your baby girl 😊
Laundry bag to separate used clothes and maybe a separate bag to put it in ☺️❤️
I love how you kept it minimal and still got all the essentials needed. The perineal spray and mesh undies are ones I didn’t have, but was provided in the hospital.I had an emergency CS and the mesh undies are very comfy to wear right after, even brought a few to wear at home.

Im so thankful I gave birth in the USA, the hospital provides everything during my stay. I only had to bring mine and baby discharge clothes.
Yeah I heard! That’s what I’ve been reading and I’m so jealous lol
