I have been fortunate enough to activate several DXpeditions in the Pacific Islands, Melanesia and Micronesia - now it is time for a little bit of pay back.
See how you can be involved and help.

Thank you Martin, the loss of a dearly loved son at the tender age of only 50 to melanoma cancer is not something i would wish on any parent...... cheers and thank you heaps for the support....
@@ZL1BQDRoly I'm very sorry for your family's loss of your son. I'm sure that with you being his father he was a good man in life. I believe he's with God now. Take good care of yourself and your family.

Wow, thank you Scotty, very much appreciated .....cheeers
God Bless you Roly thoughts to you and your family, Excellent work getting the hobby out theere, I guess we take for granted that this hobby is accessible to all but I never before spared a though for those financially lesser fortunate communities. Top Job 👍
Hi Molly,
There are a number of very capable guys i am working with throughout the Pacific Islands. I am sure many of them will be able to get a license in time. The license is one thing - getting something suitable to operate with is a completely different story. They will solely depend on the generosity of others to help them out, they simply cannot afford to buy a rig themselves when they only earn a few dollars per hour if they are lucky.... cheers
Nice project Roly. We should all take someone with interest in Ham Radio under our wings and help them get started. It will help keep our hobby alive in the future. Count me in.
Thank you Edward, 100% agree......cheers
Good to see you back Roly. Hope you're OK?
Best wishes 73, M7GTX.
Cheers Richard, yes we are coping ok. The loss of our son to melanoma cancer is certainly difficult to deal with.......
@@ZL1BQDRoly my deepest condolences on your loss.

Thank you Joseph, all is well. Thank you for your generous support, it certainly is appreciated.
Great project Roly !
Well done for helping Isaac to get set up !! 👌🏽
Thank you Philip, hopefully PNG will be the first of several... cheers
Good show Roly, keep up the good work and this is a great initiative for everyone to get behind with just a few bucks!
That's the plan! Cheers Hayden thanks heaps for the support.
Very nice project! I have friends who were pilots and flew out of both sides of the island. They usually had very interesting landing strips that were not always level to land at especially in the mountain regions. Most of the time you landed uphill and took off downhill despite wind direction. I am a pilot myself and was always interested in how that worked.
I was first made aware of this project through Josh at HRCC & Smoking Ape on Coffee and Ham Radio channels. I think I would like to join in with a small donation. Thanks for all your videos and look forward to hearing more about PNG! All the best, 73 de KI5HXM!
Hi Brent, It is always fun flying into some of the remote villages.
I too have a pilots licence and it always fascinates me landing on "postage stamp" size strips out in the jungle.

Thank you Roly for sharing this wonderful project, may I ask the following: Radio and support equipment to be donated, will these be used for the community as well? And who else involve in the local community and what other "on-going" assistance we can do after Isaac get what he needs?
Yes this will absolutely have a positive effect for the community in general. There is far too much involved to go into details here.
Please fell free to direct message me though ..cheers
Roly, the fund raising details aren’t visible on my iPad, can you post them here?
