- Hope you guys are having a great week so far, I really wanted to make this video about "The Glow Up" after so many people asked about it in a previous video! Hope it encourages some of you and most of all you enjoy! xx

Memoria James Best advise ever ! I felt like her before, especially the last year or High school before uni, I was sad to have only 2 good friends, never invited to parties etc... Then the first year of uni I've realized that those 2 people were the ones that I was going to be friends with for a lifetime. We are so different yet we understand each other perfectly and I did not care about being friends with others. Funny enough that's when people came to me so naturally, I guess it was always like that but the thing is, because I was not so preoccupied for them to care much about me things just got better. I now hang with lots of people but I know who my 2 bestfriends are, and I even got new friends ;)

Yes!! I'm watching this again 2 years later. I come back to this from time to time and take these same tips again from a new stage in my life.

I needed this! At uni, everyone always looks like they're having the time of their life and surrounded by 100s of friends, whilst I'm just sat there not having a clue what's going on lol! I feel like I'm soooo boring because nobody ever makes the effort to talk to me unless I go and seek them out :(

I would also like to add that "the glow up" is more of an internal process than a physical or material one. You can be the the most fashionable and popular person but still have not reached your 'peak' unless you believe it yourself. I guess the purpose of "the glow up" is finding self acceptance, without having to depend on others to feel secure in yourself. Making changes to your hygiene or beauty routine can help with confidence, but ultimately it's an internal journey.

I love her so much! "You can't glow up if you STINK", she is telling the truth though. .."All it takes is some deodorant" lol But in all seriousness. I just turned 24 and I'm having trouble accepting myself. It's like I want to be a woman but sometimes I feel inadequate. I love myself and think I'm pretty, but scared to embrace womanhood because it's like I don't want to grow up, but I know in my mind I could enhance myself further. I'm in my final year of a doctorate program, so I know my transition from college student to adult is coming quickly, but I really need to learn to embrace change!

its funny how she said her followers are smart and will find the good things in this video, cause so many are totally missing the point! yes this is about looks and image. but that is ok. for some people, the evolution of their look and personal image is part of their evolution as a person. I can speak from experience. Loving myself more has translated into a much better physical image and confidence. Yes this video talks about looks, but anyone who follows Patricia knows she is about way more than just looks. let this one video be itself and get with the entire program

For someone so young, you have a lot of insight, wisdom, and knowledge to share. I'm older than you and I have learned and gained so much from watching this vlog; I'm embarrassed to say that I have not reached my peak or should I say "glow up" yet, but that's okay because God is working and making me the best woman whom he has called me to be; I feel encouraged and I want to say thank you and God bless.

Anyway, this Video is so good, as a black girl who has been called everything in the book I need this. If I wear weave oh God, if my hair is natural use a hot comb. Never good enough. I spent so long trying to glow up, and I'm almost there. I think the most important step was not caring about anyone else but myself. To continuously work on myself, and do things for me to get to a point where I am comfortable. I'm not there yet, but seeing someone like you is so inspiring. Keep on Glowing up!

I understand where your coming from. I think this should be talked about more in terms of bettering yourself more than just physically or financial because there are things that much more important in those.
My advice is to just keep going! Ive just finished my first year at uni and the glow up is on! I feel like im bettering myself all the time! Im by no means glown but im in a better place than I was at sixth form. If youre in a rut DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, good things come to those who go out and look for them. Patricia you give me life, hope and inspiration, keep preaching x

I just turned 18 I think I started to glow up when I turned 16 went from a thirsty ponytail, and nobody trying to talk to me to long curly hair, stylish clothes, people always wanting me to do their makeup and now get hit on everywhere I go. I hope I can stay this way through college lol.

I can be a little impatient but I am realising that I am a working progress and that it is a journey. I am working on becoming a better me in aspects that are within my control and I am not rushing because I want to have a solid foundation. Hopefully I will glow up! :D

I struggle finding my confidence when it comes to walking out without makeup on. I just can't seem to look at myself in the mirror without being disgusted.
Try and do it slowly...keep ur lippy stuff on. Remove one thing at a time..untill u start noticing. And enjoying ur own features. And you will realize how your skin starts to appreciate it. Try untill make up becomes not something that you need to put on but that fun thing you do just to have fun. Girl ur beautiful. Stop with all that. Goodluck

Was feeling down but watching this video really cheered me and got me chuckling thank you Patricia! I have to say reaching the glow up stage is like finding the pot of gold at the end of my rainbow, I was the ugly friend, the chubby one, one with acne but you know you really do appreciate the next stage in your life when it happens ;)
I need a glow up! I'm only 18 but where I am now I am not happy with at all. I've always been the ugly fat friend and I've always been neglected by my friends and also myself. I want to do better than what I'm doing right now, I want to make good grades at Uni and I want to change my lifestyle all together, I want fitness and veganism to become apart of my life, I want to take better care of my hair and skin and my body in general. I know my self worth and I want my outside to look like my insides. I don't want to completely peak I wa t to improve everyday until the day I take my last breath.
