My Ma has made vegg-all cake many times in my childhood. Basically it's spice cake with caned vegetables that have been pureed and mixed into the batter. It taste amazing and you can't even tell there's a whole can of veggies in it.

If you rinse your eggs before cracking them, and crack flat (rather than breaking the shell over the edge of a bowl) it’s virtually impossible to contract salmonella from eggs. The contamination is on the shell, not inside the edible egg bits.
