Great find for jasper! Looking forward to seeing them both tracking this year. I lost my girl last month. Sure do miss her. Like losing a big part of family. They don’t live long enough it seems.
I’ve had two Boykins over the years. Best all around dog out there. Size, energy, intelligence, friendly with kids! Miss my last one everyday. Glad to see you letting him figure it out.
This is awesome i have a 20 week old half red half bluetick that is am training rigut now.ni hope to try him on some actual deer this year, nc he is getting real bored with drags in the yard and woods. You can tell he is ready to start on some shot deer, although, i doubt he is 100% ready. Hes got a nose, but inknow it take lots of work.
Lets take a moment to remember a fellow sportsman, Dane Purcell ,43, IA,who died using a saddle 9/11/2022🙏. AND REMEMBER THAT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS SAFTEY. TAKE YOUR TIME AND CONCENTRATE WHEN CLIMBING UP AND DOWN AND WHILE IN THE TREE. I DIDN'T KNOW DANE,BUT I READ HOW MUCH HE TRULY LOVED HUNTING, AND I WANT US ALL TO COME HOME SAFE FROM DOING WHAT WE LOVE. HAVE A GREAT SEASON EVERYONE, GOOD LUCK. 🤝
@tray22 they didn't say whether human or equipment failure ,but he got twisted up and suffocated.. A squirrel hunter found him hanging . Sorry I can't tell you more.
@tray22 I am in know way knocking saddle hunting, just so folks know. I just want everyone to slow down and take their time getting in and out and get home safe. Good hunting, my friend🤝
So, question. In all your outings is their any scientific information you can pass on as to what patterns deer make especially older mature bucks on where they travel what they typically go for whether it be creeks or a water source, or could it be there's no explanation they just go wherever they think they won't get found. Since it's something you're doing more than the average hunter, what do you think is going through that deers mind on where to escape.
They simply try to put as much distance between you and them. Deer that don't immediately succumb to their injuries might look for thicker cover or simply bed to watch their back trail.
@@ShaneSimpsonHunting Weird. I got a dog named Callie and a daughter who puts VB ahead of deer hunting! 😂 If your daughter does club and school ball its a year round sport. Not much free time.
Nice to see that tracking videos are back
Glad to see Jasper being used for the track. Keep up the great work.

How did he die? Was it equipment or human error.

@@foggymountainman9138 it is sad to lose a fellow hunter. When I switched to saddle hunting I feel safer than before but I am always super careful.

Way to go
Congratulations to all 3 of y'all. What does Brooke think of you training her puppy 😊. She going to track with y'all?
She says Jasper is hers but we know that's not true anymore. Lol
@@ShaneSimpsonHunting 😆 🤣
Love your videos. I have a bluetick that loves to chase squirrels. Did Callie ever get distracted by Squirrels?
No, but she used to get distracted by wild turkey scent in her first couple of seasons.
What program are you using to show vitals and where the arrow went thru? That’s a great 3D model
Bow Hunt Simulator app. Link in the description
How was the meat?
It was fine. Temps were close to the upper 30s overnight.

I thought that was your daughter's dog? 😂 She gonna do some more hunting this fall?
That's what I thought also. lol She is 100% committed to volleyball at the moment so I don't know when she'll join me in the woods again.
