All the things i heard about thurman doing the night before and leading up to the fight, it sounds like he was extremely nervous for the fight. The spotlight got him spooked. This was his biggest fight and first ppv fight. He put on a good fight though. Respect to thurman.
Nobody in boxing history can beat the record of Manny Pacquiao unless in the future....we don't know if somebody will come to break his record or fight the way he fight. Their are boxers that are considered as some of the greatest but they never had what Manny accomplished (8 championship in different weight class). Infact, many of them lost in extreme manners during the later years of their careers like straight losses, knock-out, bitten -up badly and etc... Although aging Manny lost some of his fight, he lost fighting hard and he still win some in an explosive manner.
I thought with all the big talk before the match on face to face talk show Thurman would be just talk and no show. But it was a great and respectable fight from his part against the older legend. It was a split decision. Manny won by few points. But damn Manny has so much fuel left in him even in this stage. Absolutely Amazing!!!
