We need Ted to this series at every legendary spot in the U.S.
Legit
right, only in the U.S.!
Check out the Dern Brothers. They have a series going where they show up at the spot, talk about tricks that went down, and get interviews from skaters that absolutely destroyed that spot.
@@thejman3489 for sure! I just need some architectural history as well. For the nerd in me
@@thejman3489and then they start dropping bangers on the spot themselves
please never stop this series, please
My war is best
I love how he speaks as to what the architecture represent in the historical context but also the present sense and how it also relates to skating
Best series ever.
Think i still like My War more but this is def up there
dude crushes this series, always love the side piece history of these spots that isn't related to skating. Really ties it altogether.
Good narrator and cool history 📜 lesson.
THIS SERIES MUST GO ON FOREVER
Very refreshing, nice to see skate media that isn’t just a day in the life or a boring interview
For real!
Thank you ted
Best series, hands down
Idk, dern bros got a great series
Definitely copied dern bros
Nah my war
Room for both I reckon
@@FreedomStateFSS they cool and all but they just name off tricks, ted is actually a great story teller
Will probably comment on every single one of these for the analytics, cause man this is so good and so worthwhile. Thanks for all the hard work Ted and everyone involved.
I've just binged the entire series. Please keep making these. Send this man around the world. No spot left behind.
ted is such an incredible storyteller!
An absolute work of art. Thanks "Understanding history is crucial, we as humans must grow together into something like a single family, for this we must become familiar with each other, and this means becoming familiar with each other's history, since we do not live just in the immediate present, we live in a mental time stream remembering the past and looking forward, with hope, or fear, to an oncoming future.
I always leave each episode smarter because of Ted. Such a great series.
I can watch these videos for hours. Keep 'em coming so we all have a sick catalog to sit and look back on. Shred on 🤘
I would pay money to see a regular series like this that covered more spots. It is so well done..
I love the history background!
Thanks Ted
What a well done video boys we need more skate spots with history lessons
As many of us skaters turn middle-aged, this quality content proves very interesting. The man knows his stuff!
The girl clapping after Cyrus landed is just art!
Legendary skating mixed with a history lesson of NYC. I love it!
Skateboarders need this content. I'm so stoked Ted and thrasher are producing this series. SO GOOD!
As a man who thoroughly enjoys skateboarding and history I greatly appreciate your video!
The confluence of skating and public space/architecture is just the best and Ted Barrow does an UNREAL job. Thank you Ted!!!
This series is awesome. Shout out Ted getting in front of the camera. Well done Thrasher 🙌
Man, that was so good. Gave me goose bumps. Plus, Suciu.
Incredible episode, extremely well produced and edited! Thank you Thrasher and Ted please keep this series going!!
Love this series - both for finding out history I didn't know, and for showing the world how deeply skateboarders care about the heritage of spaces & places in our cities. Props to all filmers & photographers for creating an archive to tell these stories!
I LOVE this series
I missed Ted so much.
These are incredible. 11/10.
Yessss. Best series. Love the history lesson
love the history behind these episodes
Wishing for many more episodes. Absolutely love this series.
Love this show.
This truly is the best series ever
Love the random lady crossing the street at 9:08 applauding Cyrus dropping a banger!
i love this series so much
Another banger of an episode.
Thank you....
These videos are off the charts good!
A true historian and passionate perspective on such an iconic skate spot.
Absolutely love this series, bringing history and skating together like this is just perfection.
Great work Ted !
Continues to be a college level course in history and architecture.
I love that the woman in white at the end even gave props to that last trick. 🙂
East coast skating even to this day still captures the essence of what made the 90’s and 00’s skating so great. I can really appreciate that. Cool vid.
We need a thousand more videos like this one!
This really is the best series Thrasher has ever offered
This series is so good. Thanks an please keep them coming.
So stoked on this series
This series is amazing
Ted's narration is gold. The lady on the street clapping after the nose manual nollie 180 flip out for the very last trick made my heart smile
fakie manny fakie 180 flip :) Cyrus's goofy
Those are absolutely brilliant!
Love this series. They're such a nice counterpoint to the Dern Bros' vids, which are also great in their own way.
These vids are like a fine single malt to the Dern Bros' session lager.
Cyrus Bennett's switch nose manny halfcab flip was Godlike
This is the best series I've seen in skateboarding since the On Video days. Please keep em coming!!
This was such a fantastic explanation of architecture and skateboarding coalesce. If you ever try to explain skateboarding to someone you love who doesn't understand it, this is a great recipe.
Architectural history? Skating? YES PLEASE! I'm a Gen X skater and appreciate architecture via skating. This video is SO different from the Thrasher norm. I love this.
Another absolute banger. This and My War are Goated.
It's no wonder that I grew up skateboarding and have a great affinity for architecture in my later years. No other activity sees architecture and spacial design quite like a skateboarder. Every piece of flat rock is an opportunity, whether a 2,000 year old temple, or the strip built across town.
As a former skater that’s super into art history this was BEAUTY
Ted is such a great host for this series! Love it!
What an awesome story teller and the way he presents what he's talking about is amazing. Built for this shit!!
This host is incredible at bringing together all of the pieces of information and turning them into a story that is about, but not entirely about, skateboarding
Got all the bikers watching these series too! So good!
Love this series
Always looking forward to these series. Thank you Ted and Thrasher 🔥🙌🏼
As soon as I moved to New York I went through the Court House area and took in all the history from the space. What an iconic place.
WOW EPIC Job on this one !!! More videos like this guys!
Only Thrasher Magazine can deliver sick tricks and amazing History all in one. Bravo!
This is gold! Keep this series coming!!
Crazy spots. This please series must go on forever
5 seconds in, & im already HYPED !!!!! best series ever
Possibly the best series released from Thrasher since ask the Phelper
Better than that, vx1000 series is pretty good too though!

I love when I can come to Thrasher for my shred sesh and historical lessons. Forever subscriber since the 90's here.
Thanks for your spreading knowledge, Ted. Your affection for skateboarding and history is inspiring.
Another great one. I love the mix of history of skateboarding, architecture and culture. Informative and fun to watch!
Bit of history never hurt anyone...Really enjoyed this.
THE BEST SERIES !
This dude was great and loved the history. Better than some schools, thank you!!!!!!
Great piece. Fantastic skateboarding!
This series is just the BEST
Ted is far better as an educator than as a critic. I like this series.
Best skateboarding series ever!
Absolutely outstanding work, as always!
The depth of emotions that skateboarding makes us feel is unbelievable. This was so good.
Ted is one of the few skateboarders who knows how to read and went to college which makes him very interesting
This series is everything. The intersection between skate and urban/architecture nerdery is an absolute delight. Also was the courthouse staircase also in The Godfather?
beautifully executed. this is a type and a quality of journalism that skateboarding has probably never seen.
love this series
Best series y'all have ever done. The way dude went into detail about the spot was second to none. Beautifully done.
Loving this series so much. Also, that Tyshawn footage of him as a kid was crazy to see
Very casual skate vid enjoyer here, but this series is amazing.
love learning the history. I'm a Los Angeleno but lived in Manhattan for 4 years. I miss it.
These are the best Ted Talks
I expected to see Cyrus manual as an ender, and I got it ❤🔥
New Yorkers can believe what they want. It's still a great spot tho. And the historical context is a great addition to the average skateboarding video culture.
Dude, this is awesome! Look forward to the next one! I love the doses of history lessons, old footy and tour of the spots! Really cool! Great idea and thanks for doing this!
Came for the skating, stayed for the history. Awesome video
Dude is really articulate and insightful. Love this
