- Thanks for joining me on another auto experience, and one featuring my favorite car of all the time...the Mitsubishi Galant VR-4. This is one rare machine with a racing heritage and highly respected engine, but why hasn't this car been recognized as much as other 80s and 90s sports cars? Why hasn't its value taken off? Let's experience this amazing car and see what's going on here. #mitsubishigalant #galantvr4 #carreview

This car as been one of my favourites its one of the best sleepers from out of Japan this car deserve alot more ratings and recognition 👍👍
In a world where homologation special cars are astronomically pricey, the GVR-4 remains affordable. I believe it to be an undiscovered gem that will someday get this recognition.
Maybe it doesn't deserve more recognition so punks dont know about them and buy them all up and wreck them
Great video! I have a fully built JDM GVR-4 and absolutely love it.
Thanks a ton! I’ve built a few GVR-4s in the past…what’s yours got done to it?
I own 1948/2000 and it's been going through a long restomod build. Kinda detuned it as my big power "racerboy" days are no longer desirable. I want it to be a fun turn key reliable but fun weekend car. Great video man!😎👏
Thanks a ton. Totally agree that fun weekend cars built to be all around performers are usually more enjoyable than big HP builds. Good luck with the build.
I have 1676 of 2000
I have a 1990 galant gsx with a vr4 swap because the gsx was na, but still awd and already had abs deleted from the factory lol. The gsx seems somewhat rare, I've yet to see another one in person.
The GSX is very much a rare car, and is even more so now. I remember this swap being done quite a bit back in the day. I don't believe the GSX had the 4WS though. Which may or may not be a bad thing.
Im in the midst of buying a RHD VX-4. Love everything about the 87-92 Galant, I just hope the NA isn't terribly slow lol. Great review.
I agree, the sixth Gen Galants look great still. The NA will be a bit slower, but still should be fun. Enjoy it.
The lancer's father I would buy one, in working order if I could find one in the $5-7k range
I miss the days of simpler, but well-engineered cars with no dumb overpriced extras.
You can certainly find them in that range, but they will usually require some pretty serious maintenance (timing belt, water pump, etc). They are not especially simple cars but there are plenty of resources out there for sure. Fantastic cars with a ton of potential.
The u. K. Never got these. Took me years to find a clean jdm but managed to find a bone stock with 16g.
Great find! The 16G feels so at home here and nets you a solid horsepower boost.
I got one of 315 ever Australian delivered vr4's about 6 months ago. It was in pretty rough shape when I got it but it only owes me about $4500 Aud
I love it!
That is one rare machine at a great a price, congrats! Are the specs any different from the ones we received in the US?
I have a car that is super similar to this, its a 91 Dodge Spirit ES.
It basically looks like the R/T version, that uses the same 4g63, except mine has a 6g71 and is auto and not manual, and the spirit never came with AWD or 4ws.
Having a 3.0 v6 in place of the 2.2 4 banger, makes the weight distribution so so so much worse. I swear the spirit has a 85-15 weight distribution, lol. It's like a Porsche, just going the wrong way.
Love the way those Spirits look. Sweet cars.
This is a car I've always wanted to buy as a project car. I love under-appreciated cars. This is definitely one of them.
Such a shame to see them deteriorate and get crushed.
I feel like it is my personal duty to restore under appreciated cars to keep them in the road.
More Galant vr4 videos pls do some pulls
I still have my 92 that I’m going to restore…and hopefully add some mods.
@@autoobsessivegarage I have a 91 myself you inspire me.
I love my Galant VR4. I own 456 of 1000.
Nice, what color is that one?
She is my Gray Lady.
I have a non-vr4 (eu) version. I have velours seats, and I think these are better than the leather ones. To be fair, I have only seen the 8th gen leather seats.
Those automatic seat belts may only have been on the us versions.
I don't know on which versions you could get the electronic suspension, with the control screen on top of the dash.
Sounds like a sweet Galant. I believe you can get the adjustable suspension on non-VR-4 models in the US. And yeah, we have those lovely auto seat belts.
I love mine bought mine over a year ago. Had to drive a thousand miles to get it though.
Well worth the drive! What year you got?
@@autoobsessivegarage 1992
A friend of mine owned 2/2000 same green 1991
Belize Green is my favorite color.
And such a low number!
I saw one of these super clean for a good price in my area I was wondering if it's worth buying it
My answer is "absolutely yes!" Definitely check it over...but yeah, they are super rare....and if it's stock...even rarer.
I really like this car 👍 👍
Same here!
I found a white 91 vr4 with black leather. For 3500.00 tempted to buy it 🤔 just to have it.
Hmmmmm....really depends on condition. That price is very solid though if the car is remotely healthy and near stock condition.
Im buying a rare 92 galant sei with a 2 litre non turbo 4g63 front wheel drive auto trans should be a better daily driver as opposed to an evo, heres hoping
Sounds like a great daily driver.
Don't forget about the FOURteen-B turbo ;)
Haha we can count that one too.
940/1000 lovely car
I have #77/1,000. It’s got a good amount of modifications though
Heck yeah! These things are easy/fun to modify.
VR-4 vs AMG with is the rarest Galant?
I believe the AMG models were more rare. But I sure enjoy a turbo, so VR-4 for me!
These look better with the JDM front bumpers I think
I totally agree. Especially how they don’t stick out as much.
can any body source this model spare parts to pakistan, i have this model
Vr4 stand for vicious rally 4wheeldriving
Agreed!
Mine was 1544/2000
Sweet, what color was it?
@@autoobsessivegarage nile black 😎
I'm selling mine
What are the details on it?
