Nice game. Annie Christmas’s ability is definitely one of the harder ones to figure out. You did a good job of getting damage through without it, but in some matchups it feels like Annie can throw the game by an early lead.
Agreed, you have to be careful. My instinctive approach is to use it sparingly, like Daredevil's blind boost and Bloody Mary's ability, and not hunt for it. Either you're up on health or you hit hard - it's win-win anyway.
Great game, than you for the upload! I've got to say, the new fighters all seems very fun and pretty balanced! My hot take: I still think auto-damage schemes in Unmatched are generally a mistake in most of the decks. I get that they're needed to balance the overall damage output of most fighters, but when I play with my friends, they really leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth. The best thing about Unmatched to me is that you always end with the feeling that you could have played cards differently to get a different outcome, while these kind of schemes really keep swimming in the opposite direction to the rest of the game (especially when played close to the end game).
The new fighters all seem strong and fun. But yes, I agree that having a bunch of auto damage around can set up some anticlimactic and feels-bad moments. Did you draw that auto damage scheme in the endgame? Cool, gg. I feel like Annie of all people didn't necessarily need it, but I suppose she needed some crowd control and her deck leans into multiplayer interactions with Captain's Orders and A Few More Pearls.
Yeah, it will be interesting to see how cooperative will influence competitive decks in the future! I personally like it more when characters have some advantages while lacking other features, instead of the current trend of giving most deck some teleport, a swap, some recursion, some healing and some auto damage. A clear example to me is the "swap with the sidekick" mechanic: felt super thematic with Patroclus wearing the same armor as Achilles, and also felt functional to Achilles ability working around Pat's life, but the more characters get the swap for apparently no reason, the less it feels like an earned mechanic for everyone.

Love the video. I love the content with the new heroes.
Keep it up. I look forward to these every day.
Glad you enjoy it!
Nice battle! wish I could have seen more out of the tonic however.
I've found it's hard to play around for both sides, but it's early days still.

Great match. Annie has become one of my favorite characters. I can't get the hang of Jill Trent though!
Tales sees so much fun!
It's been pretty great so far!
Good battle, I like your content. Keep it up.
Thanks!
I don’t think that stasis defuser blocks Annie’s ability
It does, diffuser limits it to the printed value
Annie is definitely not Italian. Lagniappe in South Louisiana sounds more like lan-yap.
That's good to know, cheers.
Why Sunzida sometimes play as man, and sometimes as woman? Or you have 2 Sunzidas? 😅
What do you mean?
@@RecursionCafe Me and my gf realized that Sunzida is not the one person.
@@mihaelurasek6262 how did you come to that conclusion? We only have the one Sunzida!
@@RecursionCafe Nail polish, and fingers are different. Well, i guess, thats only me and my gf. Sorry 😅
