      Same here, I was just going to post something similar to you. I’ve always liked him as a B-ball player. Didn’t realize this is 4 years old. Hope he had or still is having fun playing Baseball.

      He is good people. I interact with fairly often over the past 3 decades. From his days with the Rockets, to his retired days. He’s quite humble, self aware, and grateful man.

    Always admire athletes who enthusiastically try to reinvent themselves after retirement. There’s always another challenge-especially when you’re only in your 30s

    I remember my first love was baseball when I moved to the states in 1996 from Pakistan because it was the closest thing to cricket because at the age of 6 growing up in Pakistan that’s the only sport or soccer. 1996 being Derek Jeters rookie year with the Yankees I fell in love with the Yankees. In 2002 i started to fall in love with basketball and the next 10 it was baseball and basketball and my two players were always Derek Jeter and Tmac just his effortless style of play i modeled my jumpshot after him. I love the fact that my favorite basketball player is also so passionate about the game of baseball.

      That's pretty cool. My birth father was from Pakistan. I have never met him though. I have always wondered what the culture was like there.

    • @obsCuber
      @obsCuber 6 років тому +6

      twba Form is definitely iffy. Lower half just collapses and there's no external rotation in his shoulder, it looks like he's throwing with a straight arm. He's unlikely to make a professional roster because of that, but considering it's been so long since he'd played, it's still impressive.

    • @jamesasui

      A.I. Is kinda hard since he both pg and sg. Most people seem him as a pg, same with me.

    • @dajuanimyte
      @dajuanimyte 9 років тому +1

      +jamesasui his primary position was Shooting Guard. Yeah he could push point at times but he always usually pushed the 2 guard position and most people see him as a 2 guard. If you asked him he would say he was a shooting guard who could play point guard but was more comfortable at the 2. Just cuz he was undersized didn't automatically make him run point. Did you see him play in Philly or Denver??? He always started at shooting guard even at all star games

      Fatboy Gaming Jordan, Kobe, Jerry West, Clyde Drexler, Ray Allen, depends what you call Allen Iverson, probably a few others in the mix but in terms of peak ability I agree T-Mac is in the top 5. Like T-Mac's best is as good as any SG besides Jordan but MJ, Kobe, Ray Allen, Jerry West, and Clyde Drexler definitely had much better overall careers when you count longevity and you could argue Mitch Richmond and a few other SGs had better overall careers than McGrady. Depends how much longevity matters to you

    2:57 It's weird because he doesn't even look athletic but he's a great basketball player and an athlete. His body just looks so awkward and gangly. I feel like he wouldn't have been injured if he had a stronger frame and more muscle. I can see how that could be mostly neglected or not prioritized in basketball.

    You can tell how Tracy's body is built that he's prone to injury. His best bet would have been to maintain a rigrous strength training program and as little weight as possible on his body. This is why Michael Jordan was so successful. Great genetics and great strength training + his weight / muscle balance was excellent.

Kobe literally admitted T-Mac was better than him before his career hampering back injury. Orlando Magic T-Mac was the best player in the world without debate. Everyone knew it. He’s the one who Kobe took the torch FROM after the 2004 season.

    He looks really good. If he can get his legs more into his mechanics then he could be a pretty good pitcher.

    • @Dlogreen
      @Dlogreen 10 років тому

      common misconception....it's not about legs. The legs are there for support not power....the HIPS and shoulder rotation provide the power needed to throw it. Watch any person throw a baseball...why do you think guys can throw across the entire outfield from their knees....bc the hips are still functional.

    • @Alecjandro97
      @Alecjandro97 10 років тому

      It's not about legs? Then why don't pitchers just throw standing still? I'm sure they would be more accurate. Because you need to use your legs to free up your hips and shoulders for maximum torque and power. Plus the further your stride the closer to the plate you are, and you'll have more momentum.

      DiCarlo Thompson and I've also never seen an outfielder throw from his knees.

      I'm not talking about in a game... I mean pregame, drills, etc. Pitchers primarily.... an outfielder's throw is fundamentally different, but still further emphasizes the idea of how the HIPS create the power. Watch how an OF will virtually turn his back to his target as he crowhops or slidesteps to make the strong throw. I was an undersized righty throwing in the low to mid 90s, all possible thanks to great hip rotation. Watch Pedro Martinez, Tim Lincecum and other smaller guys who generate a lot of power....it's not legs, it's hips.

    He needs to work on his stride

      His stride is in fact horrible.
      I think he is bending down to get the ball lower because he is so tall.
      But that's a dumb thing to do. He has to keep that hip action right and maintain that power.
