Dr. Ingrid I'm writing this comment from Japan. As English is not my first language, please bare with my poor English. I love watching animal videos on UA-cam and that is how I was led to orcas videos just recently. The videos I had encountered were mostly about the orcas doing the performance overseas including Japan. The fact that we can meet orcas in Japan was fascinating so I went to see orcas in one of the aquariums in Japan taking the long trip like 10 hours by bus. I was so thrilled to see beautiful orcas in real and this experience got me into orcas much much more . Then after watching the countless orcas videos, I ended up finding the videos introducing the wild orcas lives and addressing how torturing that is to keep massive size orcas in captive in a tiny tank. The more captivity opposed videos I watch, the more mixed feelings I started to have towards captive orcas and wild orcas. It is an excitement to be able to see beautiful orcas in real even in the aquarium, but at the same time I feel so much pain watching those captive orcas separated from their families and swimming in the tiny tiny tank for the rest of their lives. Especially when I see the bent dorsal fin, so much sadness and anger pour out from me. I’m not sure if you know that another big aquarium is under the construction in Japan bringing some orcas from one of the aquariums in Japan in 2024. In fact, the new aquarium is very close to where I live. ( I happened to know this news just recently.) I know that I will be able to see orcas probably anytime I want once few orcas have been transferred, but still I feel devastated to know that the family is going to be split. I watch your videos almost every day now and I could not stop myself contacting you to share the thoughts. I also happened to know that there are 2 orcas living in the tank all alone for like years and years. No other orcas to play or talk with. How is that acceptable to make the lonely orcas spend their lives all by themselves. I wonder if there were any protests against the animal cruelty. I’m aware that probably my message will not get to you but I just wanted to have an opportunity to share my thoughts with you since there is on one to talk about this issue. I am no one unlike others who have a strong influence among people. I have no power to make any changes. But I just want to feel relieved even just a little bit that some special people like you can make changes in the near future. Wish to have a live conversation with you…someone like you who have beautiful minds and could possibly melt people’s hearts. I would be truly appreciated if you could read my message and acknowledge the fact that there are some Japanese wanting the same things as you hope for all the captive orcas. That means a lot to me. I will be looking forward to watching your next video about orcas. Thank you so much for your precious dedication. You are the best…. Sincerely, A girl from Japan
Its good to read your post and know that people share the same feelings over captivity which is inherently cruel and inhumane. Keep raising the profile and there will be a time when this practice will end sooner hopefully than later.
Considering English isn’t your first language, you did really well!! I’m impressed! Now the only things you need to work on are punctuation and proper wording. You usually got the wording right, but sometimes didn’t choose the right word form. It’s a very common mistake, so don’t feel bad. Overall, great job!
I completely agree. No one should buy a ticket to see captive animals like this... it is so sad...this type of capture and entertainment should not be supported in any way.
For some people it's all they can afford. Especially when they come from central US and have to pay for gas on the way down and such, and not all whale watching tickets are cheap. SeaWorld has not taken wild orcas in over 35 years, since they have breeding programs. There have been recent studies showing a very slight increase in captive lifespan. Not much, but it's a good sign.
Might I just point one thing out? If you can afford to go to sea world you can afford to go whale watching..just saying I'm moving to Oregon and have priced the tours and they are half the cost of sea worlds admission...it's much more rewarding to see them happy and free with their families. Also it's kinda selfish to keep them in captivity just so you can see one..these abusement parks need to be shut down..and there's more to it than just capturing them , there's so much wrong with keeping them in tiny pools with 5 others whales that they have to share their space with..please just think of the orcas...don't support greedy corporations like sea world..these poor animals deserve better and as long as people are buying tickets , sea world isn't going anywhere
dirtbitch77 It's a point not many people think of. And as for how much whale watching costs, it depends on who's running it. Some charge more than others. Wanting to see an orca at SeaWorld isn't selfish. Depriving others of this chance just because you think it's wrong, on the other hand, is very selfish. The majority of orcas at SeaWorld today were born there. SeaWorld hasn't taken wild orcas since the 1970s.
I'm sorry but yes it is selfish because these whales don't deserve to be kept in tiny pools with 5 other whales performing circus tricks just so people can see them . Just a fact , orcas swim up to 50-100 miles a day and would much rather hunt their food with their families than be fed dead ones for tricks. There's a reason why these whales are called the wolves of the sea..they're very pack/pod oriented..also they only live to maybe 25 yrs in captivity vs 65 to 90 yrs on the wild..we can't keep pretending that we can properly care for these animals especially when they didn't need us in the first place. And it obvious we can't properly care for these animals. They deserve to be free and they've only been in captivity for maybe 45yrs ..so I don't buy the whole they can't be released because they wouldn't know what to do or how to survive...they are still born whether in captivity or not with wild instincts..the prove that in captivity. It's just another excuse seaworld uses to keep them in captivity to keep making the big money. I'm sorry but that's the truth ..I've been studying them since I was 6yrs old and nothing about captivity makes any sense...do some research and hopefully you'll see what I'm talking about... Other than that sea world fans are igornant to the plain facts about orcas so it's easy to believe their sick lies...just saying
Sydney P Altruism, the opposite of selfishness, is not applied only to humans. We live here on Earth sharing this planet with many other species. Humans have No right to capture wild animals and put them in prison. Stop supporting amusement parks like Sea World. Demand the release of all dolphins and whales back into the oceans.
I was raised in San Diego and loved the Shamu shows and was mesmerized beyond description to see a giant being able to do tricks and the final part of the show where the orca comes out of the water completely poses. Just last year I made sure I went to SeaWorld when on vacation. Since then I've learned of their suffering in captivity and vowed to never pay money to facilitate that further. Even writing this makes me choked up a little and I feel so much shame over being a part of their separation of their pod. But again, my contribution is to never pay money to hurt them again. Thank you so much doctor for sharing your knowledge with us to help us be better ppl coexisting with other beings.
Around 9:30 - you speak of the entertainment industry - you've said it beautifully: "This should be a part of our HISTORY, not our future"... I hope that our current generations can start to put their collective feet down and put a stop to the captive-entertainment industry. We need to start learning the other side of that - people see what they are presented with at these "parks", it's all roses & rainbows, look at Shamu smiling ... but would they still want to go if they were shown video from the cptures, of babies screaming for their mothers to come help them while men in boats chase them to exhaustion in order to violently capture the orca that now live in the equivalent of a broom closet. Would people think that seeing them up close like that was a good way to learn about them if they were taught exactly how horrible it really is? THANK YOU Dr. Visser, for all your work, I am always thrilled to see you in the various videos & documentaries and have subscribed to your channel. I have never seen a live killer whale in the wild, one of my dreams is to spend some time in Vancouver, Canada to watch their resident pods (and marvel over their grace and intelligence!) and be able to learn more about them. Thank you for all your rescues and for working so hard to teach people about these magnificent beings :)
this video was more educative than the shamu shows, Dr Visser I just wanna say that the work that you are doing is really great and very inspirational I really admire your job
3:47 they are rescuing an orca without any kind of protection. The possibility of zoonotic transmission is very high. 5:08 she is playing with a wild orca the same way trainers play with captive orcas with the difference that for captive orca play with humans is their day to day life while for this orca get close to boat looking for attention can be very dangerous and Ingrid is reinforcing that! 9:13 she criticises dolphinnariums while we see images from Morgan, an orca rescued and unable to survive in the wild. Free Morgan would be a sentence to death and it is something that Ingrid Visser has been asking for since Morgan was rescued......... so yeah, very educative video, in the wrong way xD
Tursiops Shes one of the most compassionate fighters for them! Who are you and what is it that you do? No sea creature should be in captivity period. You sound like a hater seriously. Grow up
John Palermo oh! So all what she does is perfect! Yeah! Go to help sick cetaceans without any protection and lets play with wild orcas... come on! XD this girl rescued a baby orca a few years ago, she uses no protection at all and she let people (including kids) to be close to the orca without protection. At the end the baby died and they didn't even make a necropsy... that's not the right way to do things at all! And an animal unable to survive in the wild can't be send free or it would die! Do you want that?
Tursiops Your argument is completley false and invalid and you do not know anything what you're talking about pr the situation because you were not there. And for the record animals have been successfully reintroduced to the wild plenty of times documented footage. So know what you're talking about before opening your mouth. It is our duty as people who also wpukd like to be free to see that these animals get the same respect. Period.
Absolutely fascinating these animals don't target humans for an easy meal. Why not? Whales and other dolphins are on the menu, why not us? It's literally as if they recognize us as fellow intelligent beings, and are only equally curious. I find that absolutely amazing. We should reciprocate that respect in every way we can.
Я думаю косатки это биологическое оружие созданное древней сильной цивилизацией, возможно когда их создавали, био инженеры внесли в их гены запрет на охоту на людей, иначе никак не объяснить их поведение с человеком
Orcas, Dolphins, and Whales are my favorite creatures. They are so incredible and I am honestly thinking about going in to marine biology or something along those lines as a career because of them.
Dr. Visser is definitely a hero! I hope someday, somehow, I will be able to Thank Her in person for being a Voice for these Magnificent animals. Thank You Dr. Visser-- You've got an ally in Syracuse, NY! Thank YOU
while camping in Nelson new Zealand we witnessed a pod feding on rays. it's was amazing and frightening, seeing them come right up on the beach. a chopper with a mega phone came over head telling everyone to move back. I was 9 and will remember that for the rest of my life.
The work that you do is Incredible Dr. Visser, I’ve loved Orca ever since I was a little girl and saw them at Sea World (unfortunately). I wish I could be there out in the field doing the research that you do, but unfortunately my lack of schooling (so no college degree) doesn’t allow me to pursue that dream.
This woman is a living legend. She set the standard in Orca rescue and behavior. We better listen to her because if Orcas decide that we are either a threat, or worse a good source of sustenance as a result of ocean depletion; then we, not them will be in serious trouble.
Ingrid never give up I cried watching your videos I love orcas with such a passion. I'm traveling to Norway next year to see them in the wild. Seeing them free is a blessing. Thank you for your passion!
One of the best clip on youtube based on Orca's research!!! These giants are Majestic animals and super efficient killer machines,I personally wouldn't dare to swim with them but damn...God bless all these scientists who dedicate their life to these beatiful beings.
Hi Dr. Ingrid, I`m Brazilian and love orcas since I had watched Free Willy in my childhood! I'm here to support your work and say that I believe in the way tou work and say the world need more People like you!!! Today I really can't help you on a financially matter, but I'm doing and goingu to give you ALL the support I can by Watching your videos. The least I van do today is giving my audience and saying thank you with ALL itensions!!! Keep doing this please!!!!! You and your team makes the diference tô this planet!!!!
Thank you Ingrid for being the amazing person you are. You're love and dedication to these amazing animals is such an inspiration to us all. You're educating people in the importance of cleaning up our act regarding chemicals plastic waste too needs to be high up the agenda to protect our seas and oceans.
Thank you for walking the talk Ingrid, one woman of the land, standing tall through self thinking, your learnings plus teachings that brings truth to a level of understanding to and all women and men of the land.I has one hear and see, always your giving and ready to,put first your most precious " time "bravo to you and all who do so.!!! Enjoy
Reading your book right now and am inspired! Thank you for dedicating your life to this species. Now, if only I had stayed a marine biology major...I might have ended up like you.
Dr. Ingrid, my biggest dream it's to see an orca! But it's very hard to see one in Brasil! Love your job! Thank you to show us this incredible animal! Love that so much! *-*
They are beautiful! My favorite out of all the animal kingdom...I'm so glad they have people in their corner, and I had signed a petition years ago to stop SeaWorld from continuing to capture & exploit these animals for personal gain...I think it's a tragedy to tear these young babies from their families and everything they know...I am almost glad the Orca started fighting back on their own, and deeply saddened for the ones that committed their own suicide to end their pain...I would advise anyone to watch the movie Blackfish which depicts how their captured & what they endure in captivity...It is an incredibly sad documentary, but also a lesson in why these creatures need to be free in the ocean where they belong...The Orca always has and always will capture my ❤...
Here in British Columbia, Canada, our orcas have to compete with all the shipping and maybe pollution, too. As we use their waterways for our commercial fishing, and we deplete the salmon supply, they suffer.
In my dutch town many people are called Visser. When napoleon visited us we needed to give ourselves a last name. Most of us told the french we were Visser or a fisherman. Thats where you got your name from.
Ingrid, I applaud you and think that what you're doing is absolutely amazing work!! Our Southern Residents here in British Columbia are suffering and I believe that we're down to about 150 Orca left. These Orca are only salmon feeders and the salmon population is decreasing as well. It really worries me about the future of these brilliant, beautiful creatures and what this means for our children and their children. More needs to be done to protect and sustain our oceans and everything that lives in it!! 🙏💕🦋
Thank you. Thank you for your tireless efforts to look after these beautiful creatures, and the way you also bring it to the screen to educate the rest of us and our children, our future custodians of the ocean. A big Thanks for all you do Ingrid.
These magnificent majestic creatures shouldn’t be slaves to our entertainment in concrete pools:( I absolutely admire & respect Dr. Visser her team & their work with & for these amazingly intelligent beauties! It’s incredible how she can swim so near them and it’s so obvious that they recognize her!! I believe that they do see us as other intelligent animals and because of that they show us respect for lack of a better word?! Their communication with us is swimming up to our 🛥 ⛵️ & spy hopping, side gliding so they can clearly view us, they even start making their clicking sounds and whistles & their squeak calls! Some will even play with us if we were to put something in the water they can pull on! It’s truly an experience to encounter them in the wild! That is the only way we should be seeing them. We would learn 10x more about them viewing them in their natural state & home ie 🌊 than we could at 10 shows at SeaWorld! Aquariums all across the nation have ‘Whale 🐋 Watching 🛳 Trips’ that literally take us out into the 🌊 to view the different types of 🐋 each of our 🌊 have! Some even get to see 🐬 & maybe even Orcas!! Why they can’t have Orca Watching on a 🛳 that takes you out to 🌊 is a mystery to me?! And we need to start having Sea Side Sanctuary Pens for the Orcas in captivity that deserve a nice retirement! They deserve to feel the 🌊 rhythms, sounds, & sights again! #DONTBUYATICKET
I admire you thank you for all the effort An in teaching us morons when it comes to keeping are oceans alive !! I’ve always wanted to be able to do research on are beautiful amazing ocean animals ! You are truly amazing keep it up
Thank you Dr. Visser! 'From way up here in Oregon USA to way down-under in New Zealand, thank you Dr. Visser! I traveled from my home in Portland, Oregon in time to be under it as the C-130 Hercules flew over bringing Keiko to the the Oregon Coast Aquarium. This was January 7,1996...watched as he was gently transferred into his new home..stood at a porthole window and watched him take his first movements then had a few pints in his name down at a local pub...been a avid supporter of ending captive Orca and other animals ever since. It both saddens and angers me there still are these magnificent animals in captivity...even recently Russians were caught with captured Orca...it took a tremendous amount of public pressure to get these animals freed (all of them?). Some of my species only see $ signs when it comes to other living animals, so embarrassed about this aspect of my species. Dr. Visser, I am retired, I live on a very small limited Social Security income, but where might I send your research center some donations from time to time? In my dreams I see myself coming back as both a great grey wolf somewhere in the wilds of Alaska or a Orca off the coast of New Zealand...funny about dreams being able to smoothly blend the one with the other...Stay your course, continue your "fight" to further improve public understanding and support for these magnificent animals; we've got your flukes!
Hello Dr Ingreed, I am from India.. I am really amazed by your love, dedication & work for saving theses animals. You are really a blessing to our planet. Few years back I visited dolphin show in Dubai but was unaware of the history behind them. Recently I came across these orcas captivity videos and your videos also I saw blackfish the documentary and I am now totally in support of this magnificent creatures not to be kept in captivity.. I think this is the only way to educate and spread awareness among each individual including kids so they don't visit such parks..👍☺️
the SECOND I watched blackfish I went on social media & refused to ever take my 2 young boys. A lot of this is awareness, once we are aware, those w/ half a brain & half a heart, well, we know, this is wrong & yes they s/b w/ their families & in the wild!!
exactly... all it takes is awareness to break the profitable marine mammal park industries. Their customers do love dolphins, thats why they come and watch these shows. The only thing is that they aren't well informed about these animals. They are misinformed or deluded. Although I think that Blackfish is a little bias (im anti-cap btw), it did raise awareness among the masses, and now SeaWorld are losing revenue.
Dirty Liberal Watch Blackfish doesn't make you an informed person around the dolphinariums world... It actually has a lot of misinformation. Basically what that films shows is the reality of captive orca industry 30 years ago and the reality of actual captive orca industry in Asia, but not in Occidental.
Tursiops lol I am actually the most conservative person you’ll ever meet I voted for Trump I don’t think loving animals has anything to do with being liberal or conservative you are a very small minded. I am also pro-choice and very pro birth control I think it should be given out like candy maybe the general population IQ will be raised that way I would be very careful about labeling people as you labeled me seriously you have no idea I’m not at all what you think I am. I have always been obsessed with orca since I was a small child raised in Southern California I think having them in captivity no matter what the situation is just pure evil
as a fellow kiwi interested in marine biology she inspires me so much every day 🩵🤍 the documentaries and research ingrid visser has done and worked on are so influential and important
Ingrids work is, wow you are opening totally nnew worlds of looking into animals and understanding them-loving them ! I dont know why so less supscribers are here ?
In many interviews with Steve Erwin, they would ask, why do you get so close to these animals to film them? His reply? People will save what they LOVE! So he was the voice for the voiceless. This lady is being a voice the orca's don't have in captivity having to perform 3 to 4 shows a day in the blazing sun stuck in a small tank not being able to swim, hunt, breed, be free! They wonder why trainer's started to get killed? Lock yourself in your bathroom for a week and now come out, imagine being stuck only in your bathroom day and night, now imagine what the poor orca's go threw daily and wonder why they go crazy biting the cage bars destroying their teeth the chemicals they put in the water destroys their eye's, the sun burns their skin , they can't hunt and get dead fish to eat, it goes on and on, stop supporting these sea world show's if no one pays to see them torture these beautiful whale's then they have no reason to capture them!!!
OH GOD in heaven....I love orcas and I love the good people of New Zealand who protect and save and enjoy the presence of orcas!!! WHat beautiful intelligent precious orcas !!! Awesome, these friends of the sea have brains as complex as ours and even larger.....awesome GOD who created such lovely awesome creatures!!! And awesome lovely people like Ingrid Visser!!!
My mom took me to SeaWorld, and i knew then, in my 8 year old heart, that this was wrong... We never went back... We immediately went home and started donating to Ocean Conservation.
+Fuck WhatsMyUserNameAgain sadly i don't think Tilly will feel the ocean. He is used to being in filtered, harm free water. So sea world will say... Something along the lines of, "he cannot be in a much larger sea pen. He loves our water."
Awesome work Ingrid! You rock! We had a nice encounter with humpbacks at the Golden Gate Bridge a few years ago. I kept a distance with our sailboat as not to bother them and partially out of caution... they are majestic animals. Love your work to help these animals.
Thank you for being there and sharing your knowledge and experience. I am intrigued and worried about the TOXIC substances from agriculture .. I wonder if there are other species as closely monitored and tested . . .in other words . . . are we aware of the problem in Orca because the trust is studying them and so maybe other species if studied -would be toxic too ? I agree that PREVENTING the chemicals getting into the water is needed around the world . Are the toxins similar to the accumulated chemicals in Northern Hemisphere fish eaters ? ? ?( Keen to learn)
Thank you for all your hard work, your dedication and love for the orca. It is truly inspiring and we hope that the future for all these beautiful creatures is not in captivity but back in the sea where they belong.
Fantastic video. I have heard of your work as well as a local US biologist-Scientist who lives in Washington State doing research for 20+ years. All of you who commit to Orca conservation is the least...AMAZING. In the wild they are born. They must live in the wild. Pass onto their progeny in the wild ")
I love your work Dr.Visser.Thank you so much for sharing!!!! If only more people were interested in the well being of wildlife and not what the Kardashians were up to :)
Wow, your videos are eye-opening... I used to love Seaworld, but now---I don't even know. I am doing lots of research, and I just need more facts. But, I also just wanted to thank you for your videos, and please upload more.
ingrid i agree so much about the way they take these orcas away from their home and family. Its kinda terrible because they do suffer. I like them it bothers me. And these animals are known two protect us and are friendly towards us. I thank you its just really nice you care for them as you do.I was amazed watching you swim with them. Since watching your videos i have developed an intense admiration for the orcas. Thank you for all you do for them
Please never give up Ingrid visser! We need people like you to be the voice for these beautiful and remarkable beings! Thank you soooo much!

Amen

THANK YOU Dr. Visser, for all your work, I am always thrilled to see you in the various videos & documentaries and have subscribed to your channel. I have never seen a live killer whale in the wild, one of my dreams is to spend some time in Vancouver, Canada to watch their resident pods (and marvel over their grace and intelligence!) and be able to learn more about them. Thank you for all your rescues and for working so hard to teach people about these magnificent beings :)
this video was more educative than the shamu shows, Dr Visser I just wanna say that the work that you are doing is really great and very inspirational I really admire your job
karely erives ruiz 100% agree with you. She is great!
Period.
Ingrid, I just want to say you are an inspiration as a scientist, as an adventurer, and as a person. Thank you for the work that you do.
They are so incredible and I am honestly thinking about going in to marine biology or something along those lines as a career because of them.
you are a beautiful lady. the world needs more people like you and that's a fact keep up your hard work we all appreciate you
The orcas keep getting beached because they know Ingrid will come and get them, that is how clever they are, i bet they already know the 0800 number!
trca101 😂😂😂lmao
Thank you Dr. Visser for all your work and dedication to protect Orcas. Your mission is very inspiring and I hope to join you in saving orcas one day.
She's incredibly brave or incredibly loving. Regardless, she's the type of person you would want to go into battle with. God bless her!
You are a gem Dr Visser i hope you and your Orca friends are all doing well.
How amazing your life’s work is…Thank you for sharing, and showing us the lives of the Orca…
love orca, boycott SeaWorld
She is also not treating them as circus animals and feeding them, she is just observing. Amazing!!!
Nope she doesn't feed them. doesn't need to. these guys make their own "lunch".
What a great woman! I'm jealous of her wonderful job. So important work with real passion for what she's doing. Thank you Ingrid Visser!
I could die a happy person if i could swim with them. You're so incredibly lucky to share your life with them.
Dr Visser, you are one of my favorite heroes in this world ! Thanks for all you do ! 💙🐳
This is incredible, I love her. And I love what she does!
The people who knows how to interact
These are the people we need
This woman is a living legend. She set the standard in Orca rescue and behavior. We better listen to her because if Orcas decide that we are either a threat, or worse a good source of sustenance as a result of ocean depletion; then we, not them will be in serious trouble.
I want to donate $100 to you. I love you Ingrid. You are a precious being here on Earth.
Daisy Cypress Tulipgarden I really want to. But I don't have enough money to donate. If God allows, hopefully I can get back and donate finally.
Daisy Cypress Tulipgarden she is awesome
Youre doing beautiful work! Love these gorgeous animals.
It actually makes me physically ill when I think about these animals at Seaworld. We see you! We hear you! We're coming to save you!
i love watching Dr Vesser and her orca documentaries. She is so great with them.. She truly loves these orcas as i do too .
Ingrid never give up I cried watching your videos I love orcas with such a passion. I'm traveling to Norway next year to see them in the wild. Seeing them free is a blessing. Thank you for your passion!
THIS is conservation. And I heard John Hargrove say, “Captivity is captivity. No matter how pretty the prison or how gentle the jailer”.
One of the best clip on youtube based on Orca's research!!! These giants are Majestic animals and super efficient killer machines,I personally wouldn't dare to swim with them but damn...God bless all these scientists who dedicate their life to these beatiful beings.
"They're incredibly gentle" - said no stingray ever.
LOL
Omfg I laughed so hard
Reza Lustig might be why orcas do a genocide run against stingrays every play through
“Tey’re incredibly guentle”-saidn
ati fray ever.
Reza Lustig 😂😂true
Keep up your fantastic work! Yours is a life with meaning! ❤️
keep up the awesome work, young lady. Many blessings to you
Bravo for Dr Visser, your approach to the Orca should be the norm not the exception!
Hi Dr. Ingrid, I`m Brazilian and love orcas since I had watched Free Willy in my childhood! I'm here to support your work and say that I believe in the way tou work and say the world need more People like you!!! The least I van do today is giving my audience and saying thank you with ALL itensions!!! Keep doing this please!!!!! You and your team makes the diference tô this planet!!!!
You and Sylvia Earle are an inspiration to me! thank you for what you are doing. I wish I could do something so amazing.
If you want to see orcas up close and in personal go to San Juan island not Seaworld.
My dear Dr. Ingrid, may these words & thoughts find you healthy, happy and still protecting our Orca's...thank you so very much!
I wish I lived closer to these majestic mammals! Thank Dr. Ingrid Visser from Colorado USA
Awesome work, we need more people like you!
Ingrid you are a true hero💪thank you for what you doing❤️🙌
Seeing them up lose from shore is one thing but swimming with them would be amazing for me on a whole nother level
@@orcaguy4153 did you fulfill your dream?
Thank you Ingrid for being the amazing person you are. You're love and dedication to these amazing animals is such an inspiration to us all. You're educating people in the importance of cleaning up our act regarding chemicals plastic waste too needs to be high up the agenda to protect our seas and oceans.
Hi , doctor Ingred ,. Are you still working on those whales
I love your compassion toward orcas, Ingrid Im from NZ too but i live in australia.
I love ORCAs, i support anything that keeps them together & in the wild. My dream is to swim w them! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Enjoy
4:57 A smile to light the world! And a noble cause to inspire us. Liked and subbed!
I've adored orcas my entire life. A strange connection to them...
I admire your dedication. And the way you talk about it. Much respect, Dr. Ingrid. :)
SeaWorld disliked this video.
Playboysmurf1 EXACTLY! Along with all of Ingrid vissers haters theres a few of them in the comment section. #byehaters
Thank you Dr. Visser! I feel the same way about nearly all animals kept in captivity! This needs to become history and not part of our future.
Here in British Columbia, Canada, our orcas have to compete with all the shipping and maybe pollution, too. As we use their waterways for our commercial fishing, and we deplete the salmon supply, they suffer.
Never buy a ticket to A water park with animals or Aquariums
In my dutch town many people are called Visser. When napoleon visited us we needed to give ourselves a last name. Most of us told the french we were Visser or a fisherman. Thats where you got your name from.
WHERE DO WE SEND FUNDS TO THIS BEAUTIFUL WOMAN PLEASE .
These magnificent majestic creatures shouldn’t be slaves to our entertainment in concrete pools:(
I absolutely admire & respect Dr.
I really hate humans for what they have done to orcas ! But you are not wrong !
I would give up everything to do what you do.
Where do I sign up? For real. I've been obsessed with orca's since I was a little girl.
I've watched this video a thousand times. Orcas are so fascinating.
Hello:) I met you in my primary school years when I was in year 2 at Point View Primary. I still remember meeting you and how much you inspired me!
I admire you thank you for all the effort An in teaching us morons when it comes to keeping are oceans alive !! I’ve always wanted to be able to do research on are beautiful amazing ocean animals ! You are truly amazing keep it up
God bless you for all your help and compassion.
ur an amazing person i love these videos u do very educational thank u very much
Thank you Dr.
Fantastic work. Seeing orca around Wellington is amazing. Thanks for looking after Toa, he is stunning, hopefully we find his family soon
Hello Dr Ingreed,
I am from India..
2:46 Oh how I want to do that!
What an emotional experience that must be at 4:35
Dr. Ingrid what are your thoughts on about the orcas attacking boats in the sea of Gibraltar ??
as a fellow kiwi interested in marine biology she inspires me so much every day 🩵🤍 the documentaries and research ingrid visser has done and worked on are so influential and important
Dr. Visser? What's your view on Tilikums health? Do you think he may still have a chance for a sea pen? Is this infection common in the wild?
+Bluenose352 I really hope tilly gets to feel the ocean again, even if its just a seapen
+Fuck WhatsMyUserNameAgain I agree with you. I hope he does too.
+Fuck WhatsMyUserNameAgain sadly i don't think Tilly will feel the ocean. He is used to being in filtered, harm free water. So sea world will say... Something along the lines of, "he cannot be in a much larger sea pen. He loves our water."
+Kat LovesYa Which is sad.
pompom le whale is failing He is dead now. He never will feel the currents of the ocean, or hunt sea lions. He. Is. Dead...
And it's SeaWorld's fault.
Is the number 200 all of the orca population or just off the New Zealand shores? 200 just sounds so small.
Hopefully just in New Zealand..
There are 50k in the world 🗺
Yes just off NZ shores
Your work is what has inspired me to study Environmental Science at Uni xxx
The world needs more Ingrid Visser's. 💓🙏
Awesome work Ingrid! You rock! We had a nice encounter with humpbacks at the Golden Gate Bridge a few years ago. I kept a distance with our sailboat as not to bother them and partially out of caution... they are majestic animals. Love your work to help these animals.
How is it that the government is not supporting you?
Hi Dr. Visser,
My 5 year old Jace loves your videos!!!!
We were curious what type of rays are the New Zealand orcas eat?
Thank you
You are amazing, Dr Visser, keep up the good Work!!! Greatings from Sweden
What an amazing woman.much love from someone in Ireland:)keep up the good work.
I love your work Dr.Visser.Thank you so much for sharing!!!! If only more people were interested in the well being of wildlife and not what the Kardashians were up to :)
Judyta Procio Beautiful! Well said! ;)
I love your work i know I'm a bit late but I saw your documentary on orca a while back on Netflix and I loved it orcas are also my favorite animal
