Miss Granny Pat, earlier this evening, I was crying because I dearly miss my parents. Mom was 81 & Dad was 84, both passed in the last 5 years. This video & your channel have cheered me up & blessed my life. Thank you so very much!! I love hearing you chat. I may be able to get your books soon. Have a great evening! 😊❤
My Dad died at age 96 in 2011. My mother was so sad , she stopped eating and died a month later at age 91.( Death certificate said, " failure to thrive". I know the pain and grief. I find it comforting to hear Granny Pat.
I have been stuck in bed sick for a couple of days and found you. I just lost my MIL a few months back.. I was her Caregiver for the last 3 yearz of her life. You remind me of our time together and for that I thank you. So happy to hear I have a few more to listen to. Thank you so much for sharing. Blessings to you.

Ahhh, what a beautiful ending to my day,,,,a visit with Pat. It has been a painful day, the anniversary of my daughters passing at the age of fifty. I spoke to her husband and son today. They too holding into beautiful memories of a lovely lady. My grandson and son in law live in Texas. So,,that’s where she is buried. Anyway, thank you for your beautiful memories. They often cushion the blow of everyday life. I adore them, and you. You are an excellent story teller! I recently had eye surgery so I am not able to read any longer. @@jackiemontogmery125 Oh dear! I’m sorry you lost your daughter! I often drive around the streets of Texas, looking for mine. All the things she taught me, places we went get her. It’s so heartbreaking. I try to read, knit, watch movies, but as you know, there is no replacing the huge hole in our hearts and lives without them. I enjoy Pat and her stories of the past. I don’t usually reach out to anyone these days. My husband passed three weeks after my daughter. So I stay off by myself. I can’t tell you how much it means to me for you to reach out like this. I am a retired nurse, and I was used to being around people. I’m pretty stunned I’m okay being off alone actually. Thank you for your precious time, and I added your name to my morning devotional. One of my happiest memories is walking home from school(in the mid fifties) and finding my mother deftly pasting and hanging new wallpaper in my bedroom. It was late spring and all the windows were open to the fresh green trees. ❤Thanks Pat
Granny Pat, you are such a gem and I love that color on you. I’m soon to be 70 next month and I’m so glad I was able to live back in the good ole days. I remember my granny had those curtains on her windows. I feel for our children and grandchildren in what this country will be like as they get older. Love listening to you, just noticed you’ve hit 20k, wahoo, many more to come.🥰
Hearing your voice gives me a sensation of the world being nice and slow, tranquility, peace, joy, positivity. Be aware that many many of us out there love you.
Hello Dear Granny Pat. So sorry you lost your earring. I hope you find it. I loved the stories about your childhood home. I think that is so great that you have those layers of wall paper. How fun to look at those. So glad nobody was hurt in the fire that took place when you were a child. Can't wait to see your next video. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Thank you for all the happiness you bring us. Shirley from Hanover PA
Your memories do help me to recall those of my youth. I will be 84 in March and have just on sister left and we do love to reminisce about Mom’s decorating and our fun times.
Ms Granny Pat you are amazing sweet lady..Love the stories you tell..When i was little i can remember few that my grandpa told us kids about him pickin cotton..He said that was some hard work all that bending over pickin...Sure miss my grandma & grandpa they both pass on 1984.. Ty Ms Granny Pat for sharing with me..God bless
This is my first time watching you, yet you remind me so much of my Grandma Pat. ❤Same name and also born in the summer of 1936 (August). We did everything together. My love for yesteryear came from her. She is the reason why I hold Old Hollywood so dearly in my heart. Grandma Pat was a great story teller and all the memories she reminisced I can never forget. Sadly, she passed away this year not long after her birthday. Going into my senior year of high school, it was extremely hard. Even now as we are about to sell her house after the estate sale, it’s unbelievable that this happened so quick. There were so many complications and other things that were still going on around me, so much so that I had no time to actually grieve my grandma’s death. Everyone has been feeling lost ever since, like we don’t know where to go without her. Every other hour, Grandma would be calling on the horn to check up on us. Always talkative and polite, yet always sharp and ready to speak her mind. But now all of that’s passed. She was such a unique grandmother figure that it’s been hard to find Grandma in others, but I see her in you.
I loved your story today. The linoleum rug brought back lots of memories for me. We had those rugs when I was growing up. I also thought they were so pretty. Mama never rearranged the furniture in our living room either. She always said it wouldn't fit any other way. Those were the days. I miss my sweet Mama so much. Love you!❤
I’m new to you also, I so enjoy your stories and absolutely love your cooking. Thank you for telling about your books. I reserved all 3 to purchase for my birthday this month. A gift to myself. You are very special. ❤ thank you for sharing yourself.
Granny Pat have the wallpaper pieces layered so you can see all the designs and have it all professionally framed into one piece so it hangs on the wall. How special that would be. Im a new subscriber ❤
Lol. I’ll wear one earring, too. I didn’t even notice until you mentioned it. I can’t keep up with things at all. I’m 37, but my mind isn’t quite right. 😂
But did your father like the red wallpaper when he finally noticed? 🙂 You are so right about the importance of stories. I might try to write some down myself indeed. Thank you so much for all you do for us,you are wonderful. ❤
Talking about the bathroom library... Mother used to keep ladies magazines in the vanity. That's where I learned to crochet. I know what you mean about leaving behind a little something. I don't have children, but I have 2 nieces and a nephew. I made a cookbook of my favorite recipes and a story about each one. In their copy, I wrote a letter to each one. Now I've left behind a piece of myself, my legacy. ☺ I'll bet the new living room wallpaper was beautiful! I loved the story about the wallpaper. 😊 I always called those kind of drapes "princess" drapes. ☺ I loved them! In fact, when we cleared out Mother's house, I saved them to go in my new bedroom. I could just see them there. They were too short. 😔 You are right about wishing we had heard the stories from Grandmother and Granddaddy and our parents. I wish I had asked Mother lots of questions. 🥰
I remember those curtains very well. My grandma had them in one of her houses. The walls were all knotty pine, and they were beautiful, too. Those white crisscross curtains just made the room! The wool rug was a lovely floral pattern. The only thing i can find fault with was it had an outhouse. Believe it or not it was a three seater outhouse. A large, medium and a small hole. You see her brothers made the big seat for her. They definitely were smartypants. 😂 when we came to visit, my mother was afraid we would fall in and drown. So eventually, it was nailed shut. That was a blessing to a fearful little girl who disliked the trip to the outhouse.
Well, I’ve stayed up all night watching your videos and I’ve really enjoyed them! I love your stories so much and I want to thank you for your time! I will be reading more later. Love and best wishes for you!
Dear Granny Pat, I have been watching UA-cam since the pandemic instead of most shows on regular tv . Every so often youtube suggests shows to watch. Yours was suggested. I love your shows! I have lost my parents, aunts and uncles, so I miss hearing the stories and kind voices. Not quite the same as a normal conversation, but wonderful nonetheless- thank you so much. I hope you enjoy them too💜🤗
I love your stories! My absolute favorite, was that “letter” story with the man in the hotel, and his bar of soap! I literally had to stop and start the video, because o was laughing so hard. And the way you delivered it, made it even funnier. That’s a good one to recommend, so very humerus. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I am a new watcher / subscriber to your channel. This was such a nice video and I so appreciate all of the stories about your life growing up. So many of my family members are now gone and I miss the reminiscing that we all did back then. I could not help noticing the sound of fire engines in the background when you were talking about the flue catching up fire. Thanks again for spending some time with us out here! Take care!
I have a friend that lost earrings now she puts the odd ones on her Christmas tree.Love your videos,I'm new to your channel.Tell all the story's you only live once.Thank you.
Washington plays with our lives like it is a game. They get scared, they hide in a bunker. Are their lives more important than ours? Not with the decisions they have been making!
Pat, we're pretty much of the same era as I am 82. Your story about your dad and the wallpaper made me laugh a bit. So I'll have to tell you a little story about my dad. My mother had bought a new dress one time and we decided to go somewhere and my mother wore her new dress . I can't quite remember where but I think it might have been to church. Anyway when we got home and we were getting ready for bed my mother had put her night clothes on and hung her new dress on the closet door. She then asked my dad "how do you like my new dress?" and he replied " I'll have to see it on you first". we got the biggest laugh out of that and it became a family joke from then on. Well I hope my little story gave you a little laugh as yours gave me.
Granny Pat, You remind me so of the Beautiful Woman, thst came in to life, I miss them with my whole heart, my memories of these woman, who loved me. Blessing for A wonderful life
Granny Pat, I have to tell you that I've been watching you for a few days bc youtube recommended me a video. I can't tell you how much I've fallen in love with you. I'm 36 but when I was 13, my mawmaw died. She was my first best friend. I was always skipping school just to spend time with her. I don't regret any of it but I was too young to know to ask her about her life. I feel like hearing your stories is like if I can ask my mawmaw about her life. I love you and you make me so happy! I love your stories so. Thank you for being on this platform.
Hi Granny Pat. Great video. You have such a vivid memory of times when you were a child. Thanks for sharing. I read in the comments that your name came up in another youtube video. So, I had to go look it up and watch. I enjoyed that video and then they mentioned your name and had all good things to say. I was grinning from ear to ear. So proud of you. Lots of people agree that you are a class act. 😊
I will be ordering your books for myself and for gifts. On these cold winter evenings I will sitting in a comfy chair enjoying the warmth and watching the fire through the glass of the wood stove reading your books. ❤
HI, GRANNY PAT, I HAD TO LAUGH ABOUT YOUR DADDY NOT NOTICING THE NEW RED WALL PAPER😂! MEN ARE NOT TOO OBSERVANT SOMETIMES. 😊 I LOVE TO LISTEN TO YOUR STORIES AND THE SOOTHING SOUND OF YOYR VOICE AS YOU TELL THEM. I USUALLY LIKE TO LISTEN TO YOUR CHANNEL AT NIGHT 🌙 AND GET COZY ON THE SOFA. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!!!❤
Oh my goodness!!My parents house had burgundy living room walls and a wool rug with flowers that was roses in red/wine. The wood flooring was pine and like yours was varnish only on the outer edges of the rug. lol In kitchen the floor tile was burgandy and gray . I barley can remember kitchen wall paper with old timey stoves on it and another time mom had all kinds of birds. . Very much similar to your home.
I just watched ur video and u made some yummy potato salad. I don't personally use eggs but it sounded good. U showed us ur fall table decorations and I'm gonna tell u it brought a happy set of tears to my eyes. Especially the ceramic pitcher u had. My mom had a kiln and we all did ceramics. I have several pieces left. I miss my mom and u made my heart feel good. I'm 66 so not too far behind you. Ty for the memories.
Another lovely half hour spent with you. I love your reminicsences. I hope you find your other earring. I love your taste in jewelry. You are always so tastefully dressed.
LOL....Granny Pat, you're going to make a new trend of one earring! But you look beautiful as always. That salmon color looks good on you. My husband wanted to ask you, what flavor of milkshake did you have? He said his favorite from steak and shake is the chocolate/banana side by side. Thank you so much for sharing your books with us. Blessings! ~Jimmy and Tammy
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 We'll try it, sounds good. I've noticed that lately, we should bring our own lettuce, pull it out of our purse and put it on our sandwhich, just to see the look on their faces....LOL
I never new a linoleum rug. Had to look this up to see 😂 Thanks so much for sharing 🎉. Your books are just as enjoyable but watching you on UA-cam is my favorite 🤗
Hey lady! I don't know much about these technical things but I watched a few of your vids and you wore sparkly glasses and they are so neat!!! They look awssome..course you wear several nice pares..ty sweety
Your story of burgundy wallpaper reminded me of our kitchen when I was little. Our house was originally a little rectangle that had additions built on three sides by the time I came along. I didn't recall momma's tartan plaid red wallpaper in the kitchen until I saw an old birthday party picture where there was a glimpse of it in a corner. There aren't many photos of house interiors because flash bulbs were expensive and difficult to deal with. They were prone to melt in the socket and burn the fingers when removing them after each shot. When my folks built their new house I guess momma's "taste" had changed. Everything was painted in softer, or neutral colors. For the first time we had a living room and den. The living room was painted a subtle shade of dusty blue-green, and the couch was recovered in off-white cotton brocade. It was lovely to look at but we didn't go in there much because we spent the bulk of our time in the den-kitchen. Momma joked the living room was a special place to entertain the preacher - but actually we lived on two miles of dirt road so he didn't visit unless invited.
@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 😄😄😄 That ivory couch didn't get much use until 7 yrs later when a boy I dated began coming over to hang out on Sunday afternoon. Maybe he was too broke to take me out after we'd been to the movie on Sat night? 😉
I love your beautiful glasses!!! I like steak and shake also, the closest one to me is about 1-2 hours away!!! I would have loved to have seen your Mama’s beautiful wallpaper.
Greetings Granny Pat! What a great story! I love the old wallpaper styles with roses, etc. You look so pretty tonight. That coral color looks good on you. I'm always losing one of my earrings too! Love your glasses frames, are they prescription lenses? Love and blessings ♥️🙏

I have a friend that lost earrings now she puts the odd ones on her Christmas tree.Love your videos,I'm new to your channel.Tell all the story's you only live once.Thank you.
I love your eye glasses! Such wonderful stories and heart felt.
Had to come and watch, can’t hear about the war anymore, sad the state this world is in right now. Glad I found this channel.❤️
Washington plays with our lives like it is a game. They get scared, they hide in a bunker. Are their lives more important than ours? Not with the decisions they have been making!
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900exactly while they line their pocketbooks too. Scary times we are living in😢
Granny Pat, listening to you is like my grandparents.❤
Love these stories! They make my day!❤️🇨🇦🙏
Pat, we're pretty much of the same era as I am 82.
Granny Pat,
You remind me so of the Beautiful Woman, thst came in to life, I miss them with my whole heart, my memories of these woman, who loved me.
Blessing for A wonderful life
That is such a sweet thing to hear. Especially when you reach my age.
So glad I can help with your memories.
Gee thanks. What a surprise.
Good evening granny
I will be ordering your books for myself and for gifts. On these cold winter evenings I will sitting in a comfy chair enjoying the warmth and watching the fire through the glass of the wood stove reading your books. ❤
Thank you. My books are easy to read - a little at a time.
HI, GRANNY PAT, I HAD TO LAUGH ABOUT YOUR DADDY NOT NOTICING THE NEW RED WALL PAPER😂! MEN ARE NOT TOO OBSERVANT SOMETIMES. 😊
I LOVE TO LISTEN TO YOUR STORIES AND THE SOOTHING SOUND OF YOYR VOICE AS YOU TELL THEM. I USUALLY LIKE TO LISTEN TO YOUR CHANNEL AT NIGHT 🌙 AND GET COZY ON THE SOFA. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!!!❤
Love, love your stories. Thank you for sharing them.
Glad you remember those things. Now, you won’t forget them!
I always order strawberry. Will try choc/banana net time.
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 Jimmy said he'll try the stawberry.
@@JimmyandTammy Always order Frisco Melt, but they changed the dressing and took away the lettuce. Anything to save s buck!
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 We'll try it, sounds good. I've noticed that lately, we should bring our own lettuce, pull it out of our purse and put it on our sandwhich, just to see the look on their faces....LOL
@@JimmyandTammy Now that would make a good video. Then open a pickle jar.
Love your stories Granny Pat

Appreciate your story. What kid sits on a white couch?? Mama went into a hissy-fit when Daddy invited the preacher to dinner, unannounced!
@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 😄😄😄 That ivory couch didn't get much use until 7 yrs later when a boy I dated began coming over to hang out on Sunday afternoon. Maybe he was too broke to take me out after we'd been to the movie on Sat night? 😉
@@rt3box6tx74 we courted on the front porch swing until we couldn’t sit on the cold swing.
I love your beautiful glasses!!! I like steak and shake also, the closest one to me is about
1-2 hours away!!!

Just reading glasses.

I’m nearly 76. My Nana and I were very close. She has long since passed on. You remind me so much of her I have adopted you but you just learned of this. Will you be my Nana?❣️❣️❣️
Heck, I’ve adopted so many lately that one more won’t matter. Besides, you all get to take turns caring for me in my old age. Don’t worry; it won’t make Jan jealous. She can use a few more siblings.
I am so honored.
Hello Granny Pat❤❤❤ 🤗🤗🤗🤗 I am new subscriber ...

Loved your story 😅. Did y’all ever tell your Dad about the wallpaper or did he finally see it for himself?
We had to tell him, we were laughing so hard.
Hi Pat, please let me know where I can find Definitely story. I wanted to share it with others. It is so funny.
I will be awaiting your reply.
Have a blessed day!!
Love, JD
I COULDN’T STOP LAUGHING
Thank you Pat
God bless you
You can buy the backs to put on them and the reason I know is because I kelp losing mine and had to buy some.
I brought mine on Amazon.
I don’t have pierced ears!
That’s a man thing😂. The only time I saw my Dad notice something and cried at the same time, was when our Mom cut her long, long hair off into a bob.😢
