Coconuts Farming & Processing - Start to Finish

The two most common ways coconuts are farmed, are on large plantations to maximize yields, and on fish farms, which help provide shade and reduce water evaporation.
A new coconut palm tree typically takes about 6 to 10 years to start bearing fruit, once the trees are fully mature, coconuts can be harvested about every 1 to 2 months all year round, and a single coconut palm tree can produce fruit for up to 80 years.
There are typically 3 types of harvesting techniques for coconuts, climbing the tree and using a hand saw, using poles with saws on them, or using a ladder and a hand saw.
