The current attack speed for blade is good. All I want them to do fix the hitbox (because sometimes it breaks) and each time you swing at someone, they are antied for 0.4 seconds. That way there is still a 0.3 second window to heal but it’s not as bad, because the problem with blade is that it gets out healed heavily, even with the dps passive.
The crazy thing is that Rein's Dash will do 300 damage to the Dash, causing hitkill again. But Genji's Blade, which is an ultimate, cannot do 125 damage per cut because it is OP. But a Junkrat presses a button and kills 4 or 5 at once, a Sombra deals 320/s, a Support deals 110 damage with a common skill, all of this is fine. It's sad to know that guys increase their average HP to 250~300, but a character has to spend 42% of their skill to kill 1 character. Drawing the Blade faster is cool, but that won't make it do more damage to eliminate the target faster, especially since Blizzard would certainly include the compensation for it being slower than the current one and this only feeds the existing flaw that healing and healing passives give more time to react and mitigate the Blade's damage.
@@watsmadhatter9068 Drawing blade quicker is pretty solid though imo. Since you can use blade mid-fight without getting killed during the Animation. Rn even if you save deflect and close the distance by flanking well you just have to pray that the enemy doesn't hit you since he pulls his blade for a second with unnecessary poses being done. You can then more often then not ensure a victory against an enemy Ana or ulting Soj or something like that (Yeah blade is kinda shit so 1 high value kill is sadly a good blade these days imo).

I think he doesn't need a dmg boost on blade, but he needs this faster casting speed. The blade needs to come out fast, otherwise it's pointless against 90% of the characters that can just get away in 0.1 seconds. A damage resistance while using blade would be cool too, idk if 25-30% dmg reduction would be too much or not.
He actually has a katana(the dragonblade we see on ult) and a tanto(we can see it during melee and deflect), a tanto is basically a knife so if we use a katana and a tanto for dual wield, it would not be efficient because of the size difference. Correct me if i’m wrong ok?
I think it would be dope if he had stun invincibility (no more sleep or zarya grav working on him) when he dashes (having the ability to also escape movement restrictive abilities with his dash) and possibly a bit of damage reduction for the entirety of the ultimate on genji, the health buffs to everyone screwed his out a bit also but I think 2 slashes should kill 250 hp target but dash slash kill anything under 250 hp and with nano he kills 300 hp target with 2 slashes and kills 250 hp target with just a slash and dash. (This includes people who have shield as part of hp such as symmetra so she’d die to two slashes). But idk :/
Also perhaps a second dash at the start of ult to confirm at least first kill on a support like Moira or kiriko… but maybe that a bit too much and player should be able to make smart decision.
Give me caltrops so I may slow down the enemies kinda like Ramattra; or let me throw a metsubishi and stun the enemy like cass, or give me a blowgun that can poison an enemy and bleed their health over time similar to sombra. Genji needs something extra added to his kit for real
Make dash turn him invisible and leave behind a cloud of smoke, then he turns visible when the dash stops. It would be both ninja-esque and have the memetic "*teleports behind u" factor.
I think they should give dragon blade an alt fire with a slow moving projectile that does similar damage to a dash and also get rid of the sheathing animations
60 damage dash means 170 damage combo during ult, nano boost makes that 255 damage and brings back the oneshot combo while not making blade on its own do an absurd amount of damage.
Considering how blade lost some of it's value because of the increased health pool (this game is such a disaster, they try to fix one thing, that breaks another 5 things), I think a simple speed up for it's ult charge can be enough, like 15% faster. It doesn't need to be something too complicated, the excess of "layers" is one of the many reasons why the game is a balance nightmare
This was a creator patch that was a limited time game mode like 2-3 months ago. Blizzard asked 4 streamers to buff/nerf/change every hero and this was genji's change. Its gone now, but it might return bc it was received pretty positively.
I think they wont buff genji for 2 reasons. One is that overwatch 2 is basically smurfwatch. Good genji mains have no shame dropping 40 kills in qp on a 30 hour account in so many games. Second is that they have to balance based on every ranking, and high skill genjis can push his skill ceiling all the way to his max potential. Its also worth mentioning that genji has the third highest pick rate after soldier and mcree, both of which genji counters
Hanzo scatter arrow couldn't one shot tanks back in the day. It one shot all dps/supports but you as a genji main were never on the ground long enough to get dumpstered by it since you had to hit a very tight angle on the scatter to get all hits to land, like right next to their feet.
@@魚-c3d and the only clips of it you will find are from a very tiny time frame of OW1 around when Orisa was released before it got rebalanced. OW1 went from 2016-2022, can we really say Orisa and Zarya getting one shot by scatter for a month was the norm?

the attack speed for genjis blade is actually horrid you can only only get like 6 or 7 swings and it takes 3 swings to kill a tracer.

a good bufffor genji is faster shurikens plus increase shuriken to atleast 40
40 damage would break the character. going for 28, 29 is much more reasonable.
