Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions in bitcoin trading, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol
Great video. I watch several youtube videos on how to trade in the market but haven't made any headstart because they are either talking some gibberish or sharing their story of how they made it and I do not want to make mistakes by taking risks in my own hands

True, A lot of folks downplay the role of professionals until being burnt by their own emotions. Well agreed, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day market decisions being guided by a professional, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short term, at the same time laying off risk as a hedge against inevitable downturns, coupled with the exclusive information & analysis they get, it's near impossible to not out-perform. I've been using a coach for over 3 years, and my portfolio has yielded from initial $500k to a ballpark estimate of $1.8m as of today.

I just looked her up on the internet and looked into her credentials. I wrote her a letter outlining my financial objectives and planned a call with her.
I am 52 years old with very little set aside for retirement at this point. I have always been curious about the stock market and have witnessed some people who played the game right and retired early because they used the stock market. When I ask them, most said that they invested very little to start with, but their portfolio grew. I do have a significant amount of capital that is required to start up but I have no idea what strategies and direction I need to approach to help me make decent return

One super important piece of advice: try trading on a free DEMO account first! Educate yourself, watch how the market moves, how it reacts to news, how the various FX pairs behave, learn how to find your correct lot size to manage your risk etc. If you just jump in on a live account and start pushing buttons without trading education you can make some money for sure, but you will lose even more. Trading is not rocket science -- we have 14 year -old kids and 70 year-old grandparents in our group, so really anyone can learn it -- but you do have to learn, and it takes some time, just like with any other skill. Second super important advice: learning within a community will help you stay the course (will help you with mindset, accountability etc.) and is a much more rewarding trading/learning experience than going solo.
