After receiving many messages and emails about the exciting Remoska portable cooker, our curiosity got the better of us and we decided to give it a test of our own. We wanted to see it before we believed it!
In this episode, we uncover what the Remoska portable cooker really is, how it works, and most importantly, why you need one.
The Remoska portable cooker is a unique and ingenious invention as it allows caravanners and campers to have the complete culinary cooking power of their conventional oven at home, no matter where the spirit of adventure takes them. In fact, we shouldn’t really be comparing this cooking unit to an oven because it really is in a class of its own. It may be worthwhile mentioning that although my kitchen at home is equipped with an oven, some dishes just taste better in a Remsoka because of the way in which it cooks your food.
Personally, we think this product is far superior to any air fryers or camping ovens available in our market today. If you’re a sceptic like we were, catch the video above - you’re sure to be amazed.
What’s more, once your family’s tummys are full and happy, clean-up is quick and near effortless! No more scrubbing and soaking baking trays or grids - simply wipe the non-stick Teflon pot clean in seconds and you’re ready to cook again and again.
Our team of experienced camping cookers unanimously agreed that the Remoska portable cooker is most certainly our caravanning must-have product of the year, but what do you think? Leave a comment below!

    5. Can cook meat, fish, vegetables, cakes and even desserts!

I cook famiy meals (for 2) in my Standard Remoska every day in preference to using my oven. I sometimes start potatoes, carrots and parsnips in the microwave for about 3 minutes, just to make sure thay will be tender when cooking drumsticks or thighs, or lamb chops. Marvellous invention!!

Thanks Wendy! Yes - we love ours too! Especially with electricity on the rise we find that we're using ours a lot more at home too.

Enjoyed your video and it’s made my mind up to buy one. Main use will be at home due to rising energy costs but will also take it with us to use in our caravan.
The weather in the uk is a bit cooler so cooking times might be a tad longer lol.

:-) you started cooking at 6PM for 1H 20M, yet your watch showed 6:03 when you started to dish out the food :-) but all in all, a good video

🤣🤣🤣 Jonah Jones! That is correct. we ordered our Remoska from the manufacturer, the watch unfortunately came from a website called Wish. And the moral of that story is...when you buy cheap - you get cheap🤣🤣. Our Remoska has lasted a lot longer than the watch! 🤣🤣

I do a similar honey, mustard chicken (with provincial herbs - no MSG) on a Weber braai........

    • @CaravanOutdoorLife
      @CaravanOutdoorLife  9 місяців тому

Thanks Allan, we have also used Weber's in the past, and they are great. Though you need to compare apples with apples when comparing the two. The Weber is not nearly as portable as a Remoska. a Weber does not provide constant heat, a Remoska does. the Remoska is also extremely easy to clean - the weber grid is a nightmare. then, if you look at what it costs for a bag of charcoal/briquettes versus using only 400w of electricity - the Remoska is cheaper to run/operate. you can use a Remoska indoors, you cant use a weber indoors. yes, smoking your food can be a delicious taste - as it does somewhat dry the outer layer of your meat when flavoring it. A Remoska cooks your food in its original juices and it just tastes better. lastly a Remoska can run off solar power - a Weber cant. in our opinion, some Webers are similarly priced as some Remoska units. although Webers have been around for longer. we would love to invite you over to use ours to see for yourself. though sadly we are not a try before you buy business. feel free to join the Remoskateers on Social media or follow the official Remoska Facebook page to see others that have converted to using this new age technology. Or what you can do is click on this link and send the promoter a message to call you back. he can explain to you in more detail some more benefits of the Remoska all in one portable cooker. here is the link for you www.caravansa.co.za/6-reasons-why-a-remoska-is-better-than-an-air-fryer/

Great video, for the onion, cut it in half bottom to top before you peel it and the skin will come off much easier.

Thanks for the videos…. My tip: cut the onion in half top to tail.. this then gives you an edge to peel the outside skin. I use a small paring knife to life the outside layer(s) super quick easy way to peel an onion. Stay safe….

Cut onion in the growth direction (from roots to leaves) into halves unpeeled. Halves you can strip really easily. Turning meat and baking it from all sides will make better results than yours today. 😜

    • @CaravanOutdoorLife

Hi Sandra. Which model do you have? As the Grande ( Large) and the Classic (small) do not have or need temperature control buttons. They merely have an on off switch for super easy operation. The bigger unit is 500w and the smaller unit is 300w. does that help at all Sandra? 😁
