  • "She's just the worst." Jodie Foster dishes on playing a jerk detective that "nobody likes" in the new season of "True Detective: Night Country," and reflects on her pull to tell stories of isolating characters throughout her career. Jodie also goes down memory lane and hands out superlatives for some of her most iconic roles, including the character that is the most and least like her, the most quoted line she hears from fans, and the movie she rewatches the most.

Jodie Foster is an actor of exceptional talent, depth and beauty who was always ahead of her peers, by the time actors of her age were in their diapers she was making commercials, by the time they learned to speak, she was making movies for Disney, by the time they starting going to the school, she was winning awards and getting nominated for the Oscars, by the time they decided to enter films, Jodie decided to leave it behind and enjoy the ivy league world which she graduated with magna cum laude, by the time her peers had their breakthrough she already had won two Oscars and transitioned to the director's chair. An extraordinary talent, who's contribution to cinema is unparalleled and exquisite. A sheer gift to the world of acting and filmmaking. I really hope she gets an oscar nomination for Nyad

Yes! Kelly knows Jodie is a legend and a class act. I'm so glad Kelly held herself in check and let Jodie answer without interruptions. Kelly is a pro as well. She just gets excited sometimes, lol. Love both women!❤

Absolutely love Jodie! Grew up on her early films (Candleshoe, Freaky Friday, Napolean & Sam) As she grew up in her work, followed her amazing career, still today one of my favorite films she has done is Silence of the Lambs and then Contact. Brilliant work!

Watch True Detective, it’s pretty good & Jodie playing a divisive cop is very entertaining. I kinda thought she was enjoying being mean, a lil racist, totally uncaring about the people around her. No doubt, the series will provide some insight as to why, but she is just great!!!

I love her thoughts on aging...and I don't think it only applies to woman. As a man, my 50's were not great for many of the same reasons...it's like we're just not mentally prepared for aging. We're trying to keep up with our younger selves and in many ways fail and get down on ourselves. Then in your 60's the light bulb goes off...."huh, I'm getting older and just can't do the same things the same way..." and you accept it....and actually, start not really giving a heck of a lot about it and start just embracing life ('cause you also get that you don't have a whole heck of a lot of time left!).
