Have you ever heard of a "government-in-exile"? That is what Portugal is in your campaign. Yes, you own Portugal itself, but you do not own the Portuguese colonies. Just like how Germany did not own the Dutch East Indies despite conquering the Netherlands during WWII.
9:40 the beer guy is just like: "do you know how much these shells cost!? just think of how much beer you could buy by saving a couple of these..."
No way we saw the 20 inch battleships before the end of the campaign
The Beer Guy delivering kegs of vengeance.
27:55 if you go negative you can sacrifice GDP to get out of debt....
25:05 If you win the war with Spain you should capture this CL
Damm 20 inchs I think that's the biggest and yet accurate ship I have ever seen in am campaign.
Okay, so there's a government of a country named Portugal and a geographical region called Portugal. Yes, you have conquered Portugal proper, but the Portugese government still retains control of colonies abroad. Those colonies don't automatically become yours for conquering their homeland.
I find that very unusual. Never seen it before in the game
@@Stealth17Gaming It happens. I have seen in a playthrough of Panzergraf where France proper falls, but the French government is not dead because of their colonies abroad.
@@Luthius-bp2nx Isn't that what happens in the north Africa campaign? Germany vs remnant of France colonies?
@@Stealth17Gaming in my campaign, the spanish empire is ruled from Mallorca. Mainland spain is completely conquered. :)
@Stealth - 1) "when you are in a fair fight..." Also Stealth: taking on the Ambush on those DDs where I would bravely run away.
10:10 Damn, those Italian CAs look cool
24:20 😊 run away.
Pick up Yemen and the army will likely walk across the rest of the way to Dubai. Individually they're not worth much, but they'll add up.
But they will also lower his army logistics
@@adaelion3772 over time it will balance out if he keeps his transport slider to the right.
that's what she said.
The Isabel Francisca has been renamed Sir Robin
Beer guy is an incredibly good battleship name
Portugal does exist as an independent power. You own their mainland, but not their islands.
Spain has 2% army logi. So that is why your 32% are marching into Spain like it's an afternoon stroll.
imagine using your 20 inch BB's for next taskmaster
I can't wait what ship will be under my name
So in regards of your question about why Portugal is still around is because it working similar to the rest of the playable nations so meaning just because you control the homeland of Portugal dose not mean you get their colonels
Wish the ships would just automatically fire on the closest threat within they're weight class. Instead of letting small ships that pose a giant threat get close, while they focus on something they can't damage.
aw man , i caught this one early but didn't get to watch the previous episode yet, now i need to go see that on before this one. see you
I'm going to watch this later see ya soon
Now that is a gun
I’m getting to that stage where I also am considering 20 inch guns, because I simply can build ships of that size
However the problem therein lies with me being in 1930 and having mark 1 guns
Put one research focus into big guns and wait for the mk3 😊
@@SonsOfLorgar oh no I have lol it’s taking a while
Portuguese government in exile at Timor? Who knows with Salazar at the helm...
You should do spain or France next.
you should have tried to get them to torp themselves
Hi
Do you think putting your "logistics" fleet in limited capacity would still keep your army logistics up while decreasing the budget of your navy?
Need more
Hohoho
How did they get that much
E
Is there a year limit in the game?
1960
@@LTPolasGlassII Thank you.
I'm back
The two colliding Destroyers are from a Azur Lane Hentai lol
early!

You're really getting stuck on this Portugal thing, not really sure of your reasoning... DIP mechanics are so screwed up, it wouldn't surprise me if a country was attacking you one turn and allied the next. Fun to watch, but I prefer Vanilla to play, most of the weird things happening are due to DIP mod, not base game.
