The best tutorial! Not too fast, clear and professional! Thank you so much❤
Thank you so much for treating us to your expertise. The tutorial is well-paced and very clear. Your voice is calm and very pleasant. An excellent resource for us all!
Thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial. Even your voice is soothing and on a good pace. Truly helpful !
this is probably my most favourite thing you can do with photoshop. I love the painting tutorials, especially the watercolours. Absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you so much 😀
@@BLTV_Photoshop thank YOU 😁
This is the best watercolor tutorial I ve seen so for! It's not a single miracle action, but the clever and convenient combination of easy techniques
Glad it was helpful! 👍
This is crazy wonderful! Love how you explain these effects...
Another cool tutorial about turing photots into watercolor, fantastic!
Great effect. Your explanations are very easy to follow. Thank you very much. Keep these vids coming!
That is definitely one of the better ways of achieving a good result. Thanks!
After many many searches for a well thought out tutorial on applying water color effects, this one was the best I could follow. My challenge was using your steps in PS 2024, but in the end worked very well. It took a little doing to learn how to apply the brushes (Kyle versions) and adjust opacity here and there. But excellent results! Thank you!
This is the best watercolor tutorial ! Thank you .
Thanks alot for your kind ❤
Thank you for another great tutorial!
Wow! Mind blowing! Thank you so much.
You are absolutely amazing . Your attention to detail is mind blowing 👏👏👏👏 this is what I have been needing , thank you 👍
You are so welcome!
Marty, I have to say I have watched many Photoshop tutorials & got frustrated because they were going so fast. Thank you for taking it at a slower speed remembering we are all new to this so we have to learn it 1st. You are the only teacher I did not have to slow the speed down to follow along. I have sub'd & rung your bell. Thank you.
Thank you!
Same! I am 3 min in and subscribed lol
Amazing, as always!!!! Thank you
Thank you. This is exactly what I was looking for 👍
thank you! greetins from Brazil!
Fantastic tutorial... thank you
I think I'll be trying this technique on a night shot I took recently of the London Eye and county hall. Cheers marty (Y)
Gracias por el tutorial y el material, me encanto.Saludos.
génial ! thank you very much Marty
I really need to learn this...thank you for sharing sir..😊❤
Great tutorial. Thank you Marty :D
Thank you for sharing. You are the best!!!

Yes.
Best tutorial I’ve seen ! Thank you (from France) ❤
Thanks for a really useful video.
Fantastic sir
Thank you very much!)
Well done
I've been subscribed here since 2018. This is the best instruction for Photoshop that I've found.
Thank you!
Goooood job
great tutorial
wow, thanks marty from blue lightning tv!
This was a lot of fun.
👌
Thank you so much Marty ... this is truly priceless to me.. it will help me a lot as a final touch to my photography .. I do screen printing and sublimation and other methods .. I absolutely appreciate you sharing this .. Thank you.
You are very welcome!
Do you use the same values has he did? Just curious since I'm using a higher ppi value of around 300 since I am also looking to print.
@@PlxsmicX8460
I personally use the resolution of 300 at least. Now the height and width of mine are so much bigger. If you're looking into printing, then I would suggest ALWAYS use high resolution images. You can always shrink the photo or image and not lose quality but with a low resolution image you cant really do much.
@@yemarican Ok Cool, so do you use the same filter values as marty did?
@@PlxsmicX8460
No.. I actually never have used any of those filters (yet). but it is indeed a good tip to keep in mind in the printing field, whether you print on paper, fabric, glass and so on. I am sure the values will differ based on what image you're working with.
Thanks
you are the best you know bro 🧠
Super easy to follow. You just got a new subscriber!:)
Welcome aboard!
Thanks very much for this comprehensive tutorial. I especially appreciated the explanations of what different settings are for.
I had some very good results with objects. Less with faces, but I do realise that's because I understand settings should differ based on the image and I don't really know what I'm doing yet. 😅
Great tutorial but when I did find edges on the image, and switched it soft light blending mode, the image pretty much disappeared. Multiply seemed to work though.
how are you senior Marty .. Thank you all tutorial
We want more video on this serise
Здорово
hi marty, why do we create a new blank layer and merge it with the paper texture layer? is that part necessary? loved the tutorial!
You can't change the blend mode if it's not merged. Try it without merging to see.
@@BLTV_Photoshop just tested it! i understand now. thank you so much!
🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
This is a great tutorial! Do you have an action for it?
Sorry, I do not.
Hey! i am using photopea and at 3:52 u mentioning smart blur. it isn’t there at photopea. what other option i can select then?
Sorry, I never used Photopea so I don't know if it has a smart blur-like option.
Thank you for these videos. However I have a question, how can I print these? I noticed you use a resolution of 72, too low for printing. I tried raising the resolution to 300 but it didn't work out, you did mention if you use a higher resolution filters will have to be adjusted. However I'm not sure which ones need to be adjusted. These are too beautiful not to print and give as gifts. Can you do a video on when you want to print the beautiful work. Thanking you, in a advance.
Or maybe some of your followers can help?
To use 300 ppi, the following settings should be larger - the paper pattern's scale, the Dry Brush's size, the Blur's radius, and the watercolor surface brush size.
@@BLTV_Photoshop Thank You so much for getting back to me. I'll give it a try!
@@BLTV_Photoshopfor 300dpi i’ve tried it but it doesn’t work as it works on 72 dpi. Could you write the exact amounts for each filters ? because , it quite depends on which number you put. I really want to have the same effect with 300 also 😭
hi marty, is your watercolor paper texture free for public / commercial use? I need to ask since my professor insists on open license images.
I'm not sure if its licensed for commercial use. FYI: there are many commercial-free watercolor paper textures on the web.

@@BLTV_Photoshop wow, thanks a lot! I'll try some of these then :) as always great tutorial by the way
I'm a pretty beginner user of Photoshop so I'm struggling to make my image 72 dpi without making the image quality become so pixelated. It seems to look best at the size I need at 300 dpi. I'm trying to put an image on a 4x3.5 inch size document to print as wine labels and when I try to adjust the dpi to 72 without resampling it makes my document over 17 inches wide. Likely user error, but how would I adjust my settings differently if I went forward using the 300 dpi scale?
You can either go to Image > Image Size and make the image size 300 ppi and just change the width and height to your specs OR... open your Crop Tool and Crop presets. Click "W x H x Resolution". For its resolution, type in 300 ppi. For its width, type in 4 inches and for its height, type in 3.5 inches. Drag the Crop's bounding box to frame your image to your liking.
Dear sir I can not find water color paper, where to download it?
As I mentioned in the video, you can find the link to the watercolor paper in the video's description, which is located below the video. Click "Show More" and scroll down.

Hi marty
Can you share with me the adjustment and numbers for images with 300 resolution
It would take time. Just play with the amounts until you like the results.
Thanks. I tried on an image with the recommended image size. The result was stunning. But when tried on image with 2000*2000px, the result was not that good. Can you please help me, what adjustment I have to in filter settings.
Generally, the larger the image size and/or resolution, the larger the setting amounts must be in many (but not all) filters, layer styles, and brush sizes. In other words, just play with the setting amounts to get the desired effect.
@@BLTV_Photoshop Thanks a lot
Hi Marty... been 8 yrs since I came back to YT... how u doin bro?? Damn its been 8 yrs thats a very long time...
True! Thanks for comin back! 👍
@@BLTV_Photoshop great Marty!! I wish u best ✌✌👍👍🙏🙏
Nevertheless, I realized that such information should be searched on foreign UA-cam channels. There is little such information in Russia(
The water color texture color is not in the description
The texture has no color to it. Not understanding the question.
I cannot get the pattern overlay to change from gray to white. There is no option as shown in the video to do so.
When is this in the video please (minute: second)?
When I go to Filter Gallery, it makes my image black and white. Why is this? how can I fix it?
What filter in Filter gallery are you using? Is the correct layer active? Are the foreground and background colors correct? Is a layer mask active or the layer itself? Is the Blend Mode correct?
How would this look when printed?
To make it more realistic in practice, what paper type would you suggest it is printed on?
The highest quality of printing this would be as a giclee art print on archival, watercolor paper. In your Browser, type in "giclee printing company".
@@BLTV_Photoshop thank you for your response.
I’ve noticed on this video, as well as others you’ve made that are similar, that you require a certain PPI. Why is that?
The results for some filters &/or effects look best at resolutions of 72ppi, while others look best at 150 or even 300.
how do people even figure out this stuff, jesus
lol
Contrary to popular opinion here, I didn't find this tutorial helpful and I found it too fast-paced. Perhaps I'm just looking for something different.
I understand and thank you for your comment. There's a fine line between balancing enough information for the newbie and not boring more advanced users. I try to do both in my tutorials. Sorry you found this one too fast-paced.
