    Nice! I use a autopole to hold my f22’s most of the time. Definitely going to look into those boom arms though.

    That Godox on the B cam looks awesome. Not loving the look on the A cam though. Harsh shadows cast by the plants. Doesn't look like sunlight through the window. It looks like you have a big light blasting that corner. Maybe a few layers of diffusion on that 600d and flag off the subjects would achieve a more natural look. Nice video.

      thank you so much for the comment! we always appreciate feedback! i believe you are talking about the amaran 200x (which we didn’t cover in depth in this video) we had blasting the plants! the 600d had a fresnel lens on it & we tightened the beam to aim specifically at the ceiling opposite of camera so it was hitting our subjects! totally understand your thought on bringing down the intensity of the light hitting the plants!
      thank you so much again for the comment! 🙂

    Oh man this video was incredible, it taught me so much about lighting. I honestly am amazed I got this knowledge for free cause I'd pay for something so useful. Truly appreciate the effort and information in the video 🤙

    This was an excellent breakdown and illustration. Thank you. You answered two questions that I was looking for. You used the sun surveyor app to map the sun. Did you have to film at a certain time of the day to make sure the sun was not beaming into the windows and to properly expose for the window?
    Yesterday i was trying to expose for the window at high noon (approximately 12:39 pm) and I couldn’t properly expose for the window and lift up the subject inside the space. And i was working with two 600D Pros, two 300D ii, and other smaller light and still to no avail. Based on you breakdown, the position of the sun to the window is important, correlating to the timing of day as well, correct?
    Thanks again.

      hey, appreciate the comment! yes we use sun surveyor to map the sun & ensure it isn’t blasting into the windows we are wanting to use in frame.

    Great explanation, thanks for that man, my question is... As someone who's starting and work most of the time alone, what lights should I invest, tube lights?
    Thanks ✌🏼🎬

      thank you so much!! man depends on your style of shooting! we always recommend a parabolic soft box & a point source light to start, then build from there!
      stay tuned 👀🔔 our next few videos will cover this exact topic 💪🏽

    Z-cam for B-cam? Dope love my E2 S6! How has it been with split duration past 60 min?

    • @xvlab
      @xvlab  10 місяців тому

      hey! we actually used a panasonic bs1h, but had a z cam s6 for a couple years! split duration is no problem unless you are synchronizing external audio in post!
