True. 24x7 municipal drinking water, pothole free roads, footpaths, bicycle paths, etc. And Social security like universal healthcare, pension, unemployment benefits based on number of years worked, etc. I think countries which have universal healthcare also take care of pollution properly because the health issues are partly tax payer funded.

The main issue over migration has always been good conditions of the person and family. India has started to become increasingly conservative, contrary to the usual evolution of society. Living a good life in India has become suffocating if you don't want to do corruption. We have to respect our countrymen and make them stay in India and contribute to it being a developed country, but our thinking is corrupted, selfish, and bigoted from the beginning. Most of these people giving up Indian passport would be high net worth individuals. This has everything to do with quality of life and little to do with which government is in power in India. Why would upper middle class pay high income tax in India when they get nothing in return? I still remember paying over 30% in income tax and still riding my bike on Bengaluru road ridden with potholes. When I would get back home, my eyes would be irritated due to dust and pollution.
I know many Indians who are migrating to other countries. And many, not giving up citizenship, but selling all their assets and moving the funds out of the country. They are of the opinion that this government will remain in power for a long time and very soon crush the economy beyond redemption. The poor have no option.

Due to rapid digitization, it is becoming increasingly difficult to transact and hide un-accounted money. As auditors and chartered accountants are also made accountable, it is becoming very very difficult to convert black money into white money. This is a very important reason for the exodus, apart from other reasons.
I have grown up in India in a time where scientific temperament and the idea of India which believes in live and let live was deeply seated in the DNA of India. Now sadly I don't recognize that. The amount of hatred being spewed by educated folks shocks me. Lynchings are being normalized.
