- SIMPLE Change to UPGRADE your Harley Street Bob 114 - Crossthread Cycle Levers Install!! I hate the stock levers on my 2022 Harley Street Bob 114. They large and clunky and don't match the black theme of the bike. Today we will swap them out for the Crossthread Cycle Black Levers!
Huge thanks to Crossthread Cycle for partnering on this video. Make sure you check out their website to check out everything they have to offer!

I tried after market levers but end up powder coating the stock levers was the best choice
With aftermarket levers, it's always a good idea to check if the 'clutch safety switch' is engaged. To test, place the bike in gear, pull the clutch lever and try to start the bike. If it starts, you're good. Two minor things: looks like both of your hand controls are (almost) pointing upwards. Have you tried to joint them 'down' a bit? And lastly, both front blinkers appear to - again - be pointing upwards. I think you would want them pointing at least straight (directly at the oncoming traffic). If I got this all wrong due to a camera angle or you simply like you current setup as is, I apologize! Great video! Enjoy the new levers!
Good tips! I think everything is in good place. I forgot I had the camera in superview which gives a distorted wide view. May throw off the angles a bit
Awesome video, well done. Time to replace that gas cap......
Gotta get rid of that thing
I would go with similar to OEM long levers but adjustable.
I’m picking up my streetbob today! Love your content brothA!
Yooo thanks! Enjoy the bike!
Just got mine yesterday. I’m in love
Definite upgrade in both appearance and performance. 👍
For sure 👌
@@TheMotoJawn But for me, right now, staying with old school look due to lack of funds. I have a brand new 2022 SB. But I have old school thick clunky grips to go with the clunky levers. Stock seat and pillion match with old school look. Got an affordable aftermarket 19” sissy bar. Loving it. Got gp shorty exhaust coming in the mail box.
Picked at set for my Bob. Only issue I have with them is clutch hand gets blisters from the design. I have to pay attention on how I pull the clutch. I've adjusted the angle and still the same.
Damn that suck haven't seen that before
I just ordered black Flo levers and Arlen Ness grips for my lowrider s
Very good choices 👌
I went with the gold for my blue 22 street Bob and I love them. I’m loving the blue black and gold theme from mine. Have you ever looked into color matching your fairing and side covers
I've considered it but haven't looked much yet
@@TheMotoJawn I did mine by myself with color rite (just google colorrite) it came out pretty good and was super easy
I went back to Oem levers ,,their good ..
Coming back to this video to tell you i finally had my first true issue with these levers after over a year of ownership. The "anti-rattle" clip on the bottom side of the clutch lever flattened out and the clutch lever rattled like crazy. Easy fix, just took it off and bent a new curve into it. Another fix could possibly be to swap the clip from the oem levers onto this one. Either way if you end up having that issue there is the fix
I don't think I got one of those clips? Where can I find one mine rattles
@@TheMotoJawn I think JPcycles sells them or the dealership but you should have one. If you still have your stock levers grab the clutch and look at the bottom side. It’s screwed on the bottom. My Crossthread levers had their own it was just flat. Got an Instagram or something? I can dm you pictures
@@IronBuiltEquinox yeah ig @themotojawn. I'll have to look in my stock one
@@TheMotoJawn sent you some stuff for it on Instagram
Great video. Is the pull-in easier than the stock levers? The are clearly smaller and the reach is better, but is the actual effort required to pull them in any less?
I would say yes, but I'm not sure if it's in my head since they're smaller and I'm only using 3 finger it feels easier. At a minimum they're definitely more comfortable to operate
@@TheMotoJawn Okay thanks for the reply. That helps.
What's the fairing and seat you have? I have a 23 street bob and am really liking the look of them.
Memphis shades road warrior and the lepera kick flip seat
Harley failed putting those levers not only on your bike…but on the Lowrider ST as well. Looks like an easy switch though!! Might have to look into them
I agree man! The silver is terrible the black makes it look much better. They feel better too
What luggage bag do you have and where did you get it ?
How’s the up and down play on the clutch side? When I push up and down on my stock one there’s a lot of play in it. When I ride it actually rattles, and I hate it. Are these ones a better fitment than stock. And do you notice any rattling or play in them?
There's a little play but I don't get any rattle
Are the Crossthread Cycle Levers any closer to the grip.. meaning .. do the levers provide any "reduced reach for your finger grip" from the stock reach?
Yeah, I would say so. It has been much more comfortable
I have an issue with the reach myself. Anything i can do about that?
Any Harley part is $100+😂
You should change out your gas cap with a black one thats the first thing i did it doesnt look right with the chrome one
Been looking at those too
What sissy bar do you have on your motorcycle?
The Harley oem sissy bar
They look uncomfortable with such hard angles on the face. Also short levers give less leverage so it usually makes it harder to pull
They're definitely more comfortable and easier to pull than stock
