Thanks for another great video, Stephan. I am currently using your dotfiles and feel very comfortable. With Hyprlock I only have one problem with my laptop: if I leave it for a long time and it goes to sleep or standby, Hyprlock no longer responds and I have no other solution but to restart the computer. Other than that, everything works very well. I'm going to look for information to see if it is a problem that has already been detected and if it has a solution. I'm already waiting for your next video. Greetings from Argentina.
For me, same happens if i wake up the screen using enter key, any other keys work fine.
Happens the same to me with hyperlock and swaylock effects. Only regular swaylock works fine, which is pretty sad 😢
Thanks for your feedback. Please check your hypridle settings. Pretty sure the reason isn’t hyprlock. I would try to play with the timeouts. Disable it first and bring them back step by step.
@@mylinuxforwork i have used hypridle and swayidle and neither works, only when switching to regular swaylock does it stop crashing

Maybe in version 3.0. ags is definitely very interesting. Let's see... 2.9 comes with a eww widget.

Hello, do you intend to do any configuration in ML4W dots to use zsh with P10K instead of bash?
Currently I'm focusing on bash due to it's compatibility.
Do you know if in HPRLand there's a way to disable an input device? Something similar to an xinput function.

I have a specific issue that I believe you may have encountered before. Whenever I open a file from Brave's Downloads Shelf directly within the browser, it seems to override my GTK theme and switches it (Thunar) to light mode. Subsequently, every instance of Thunar I start remains in light mode, even when specifying the theme in my terminal. This light mode persists until I restart Hyprland. Have you experienced this issue, and if so, were you able to find a resolution for it?

Your hyprlock configuration is very nice. I was just wondering if you could convert the 24 hour time format into the time format used in America (20:00 turns into 8:00 PM)?

@@Sheikh-sz5gf I have just pushed an update to the dev branch. You can update it from the ML4W welcome app. With the new version you can set the time format for waybar and hyprlock from the ML4W Settings app.

How do you edit the icon sizes and height on waybar and how to edit system wide font size or a scaling option. Lets say for example I have 1920x1080 and I want to use 75% scaling instead of 100%
You can try a scaling setting in Hyprland. wiki.hyprland.org/Configuring/Monitors/
A keybind to disable/enable hyprland animations would be great!

I have something like this going but I can't get the idle inhibitor to work on waybar. Not sure what's going on.
Thanks for testing. I can confirm the issue with the idle-inhibitor module. The 2.9.1 release will include a custom module that works with hypridle. I am currently working on it. Release is planned for upcoming Sunday.
Is it possible to install your dotifiles in Ubuntu
Not with the installer. You can try to install Hyprland on Ubuntu separately and then use components from the dotfiles.

No. Hyprloch is a screen lock tool only.
very nice Stephan, but did you abandon QTILE?
Qtile configuration is still available. But I am concentrating currently more on Hyprland. It’s extremely time consuming to manage both. But I am still a big fan of Qtile. It’s possible that I will separate both installations from each other. This will reduce redundant packages and makes it easier to manage and extend the configurations.

@@gurjaka Hi. My preference for qtile was x11. Easy to configure and with picom a lot of effects. If you plan later to jump to Wayland I would suggest to use Hyprland.
