This new lovely stitch pattern is called the Straight Chevron Knitting Pattern. Lovely for home decor projects, pillows, vests, or anything you can imagine.
// Instructions:
Straight Chevron Stitch
Multiple of 14 plus 2
Cast on your stitches with a long tail cast on, softly.
k=knit
sl1k1psso=slide 1 stitch knitwise, knit the next and pass the slid stitch over the last.
k2tog=knit 2 stitches together.
Repeat from * to *
Row 1 and all odd number rows are purl. This is the wrong side.
Row 2 and all other even number rows:
Knit 1), knit the front and the back of the next stitch, knit 4,
* slide 1 stitch knitwise, knit the next and pass the slid stitch over the last,
knit 2 stitches together,
knit 4 stitches
knit the front and the back of each of the next 2 stitches
knit 4 stitches*
Last 10 : slide 1 stitch knitwise, knit the next and pass the slid stitch over the last,
knit 2 stitches together,
knit 4 stitches
knit the front and the back of next stitch and knit 1.
Bind off in pattern if you want the shape of the zigzag.

Lovely stitch! Very pretty yarn! Question: If it’s a multiple of 14 + 2, how come there are 10 stitches left over at the end of the row? Wouldn’t it be a multiple of 14 + 10? Even though I’m confused, it’s beautifully and thank you for sharing!🌸🌺
When you cast off using this pattern, does that cast off edge have the same chevron edge as in the first row?

I am doing your zig zag garter stitch right now. How would i make one end strait across when beginning or binding off? I was curious if this video would show that as well?
