So disappointing to such a drastic decline from her. I absolutely hated the move to PSG. Ever since both her & Jackie Groenen made the move there, they've both just disappeared
I'm both fan of PSG and Martens. I was happy to see her sign in PSG but I was a bit worried at this time about her multiple injuries and the decline of her global level in Barcelona. I was rigth, I don't think PSG is the best team to regain confidence (this club is a mess...) after what she went thru in Barcelona. I wish both, PSG and Lieke, to part ways as soon as possible for their mutual benefits. She is still a great player, and some rookie clubs like Juventus or Real Madrid would benefit from her experience, and could eventually help her to regain a leader status.
@@RespecTheLevYT and she never will, I think. But hopefully, I wish for her to be a valuable asset, not for her performances, but for her experience on how to handle pressure and big competitions for those still rookie teams, and to eventually be a seasoned leader on the pitch if needed. With this role, and with the confidence, responsability and spotlight she never had in PSG, she could be usefull and worth the price. A bit like Ibrahimovic in the latest AC Milan. But we certainly should consider her starplayer era over.
fr fr look at what that did to Rooney and Owen in the men’s game. Physically dependent players like these rarely manage to maintain their playstyle. Age catches up with you.
Idk at 31 Adriana Leon is still killing it. Football culture is different in France. Messi hated it there and if your unhappy it's easy for it to effect your practice and play which can open you up to injury. Get out of France.
Yes exactly. A transfer to a lesser league such as the Women’s Eredivisie or Swedish League could do her good. Perhaps that way she could be fit for Euro 2025.

Strongly agree. They obviously moved to Paris for the money. 🙄

Nah mate I think Lieke wouldn’t be an upgrade on the wingers at RMA or Juve. She just hasn’t preformed anything close to her level in over 3 years

A legend for the Dutch NT and Barca. It's just aging and injuries.
Yeah peak Martens was such a joy to watch. Damn shame it had to end like this
16 is too young for that much playing.

And couldn’t this ten minutes video be compressed to “she started getting injured a lot.”
Can’t really argue with that bigman
Its normal because athlete can never be peak always good
Well not all athletes fall off that hard at age 30
