The new players will never know the pain of manually grinding every single 3-4 mob & boss to get Akagi & Kaga.
That's why you'd try it on Hard. I kinda lucked out every time I lmb'ed drops from one chapter they released the new Hard chapter, till 12, our current.
It's a special pain reserved for the OGs.
I'm still on fox mine bro😢
indeed, we old players are gods
the "pain"?? ..you mean the "joy"....:)
Welcome to Azur Lane! Always remember to spend on skins, not gacha ;)
Realest advice for a true commander of culture!
That's why I own every Akagi and Kaga skin. I definitely don't have a problem...how much longer til Kaga's L2D skin? I have money Yostar, give me a reason to spend it. *Looks at Shinano's Race Queen skin* Give me more of that, a 47,000 tonne aircraft carrier on top of a $140,000 car.
The new player support is insanely good. It was available during Musashi banner in JP server. I was able to reroll for her and Musashi just carried everything
It's such a huge boost! I was so surprised.
As someone who played Azur Lane for 4 years as f2p to this day, this is such a great head start for newer players!
It really is a huge boost!
GuardianE awesome video! I love the little edits here and there! I recently hit a milestone I finally 3 star all World 13 maps and getting the two exclusive ship drops in World 13 which are USS Dewey and USS Bunker Hill! Now the objective is to grind Azur Lane and get ready to dive into the final world of Chapter 14 to get USS New Orleans. New Orleans is the final ship to get that 100% collection rating!!!!
Thank you for watching~! Congrats on 3-starring Chapter 13! Onward, and good luck!
Man, new players in Little Enterprise server are eating so well. This support plan is insane! Guaranteed Nagato and Enterprise is so good. New players can use Nagato with Souryuu and Hiryuu (no retroits) in their first fleet and Enterprise with Ark Royal (no retrofit) and Casablanca (Merit shop) in the second fleet. Both fleets are really solid and easily can carry you to world 10 with purple gears.
PS: Wow, you got the fox mines so fast. That was insane. Congrats!
So much great stuff for new players, it can be overwhelming! Just hard carrying ships immediately at their disposal. Thank you!
We do be eating good, just started 2 weeks ago randomly, it's been fun
I like the lil cuts you made in this video. Really made me rofl especially with that evolving lil owarida! >.,<
I'm just less than 2yr old player in AL but this already hit me with a ton of nostalgia.
Thank you~! Appreciate it, I tried to keep it fun!
Damn, that's a lot of help for the newbies! I'm glad you made this video and super happy that new players are eating well. It's very important to treat them well, I don't even mind if they get stuff easily which I had to grind hours for back in the day. I love AL and really want it to grow!
Thanks for checking it out! I certainly agree about the importance of Start Dash campaigns for newer players, and helping the game continue to grow. A bunch of this was a temporary celebration for the new server, but there are still some nice goodies for new accounts in general.
I still get PTSD when I remember the fox mines when you had to manually play the maps and move your ships around.
Also, Nagato was, and is still my favorite ship, she is what made me stick to the game. She is always in my Sakura Empire fleets, no matter how poweful the new faction ships are
The struggle was real! We've come a long way.
It was fantastic to see how the new player experience has changed over the years. I'd started to take the changes for granted and had forgotten how hard it was when I first started years ago. Your Video was heaps of fun. Thank you very much Guardian E.
I had a really fun trip down memory lane! The game has changed a lot over the years. Appreciate you joining me on this little excursion!
Man the game is so generous to new players. I've been playing since launch so now I see why this gacha is still pretty popular and getting a new server
Yep! They don't shy away from giving some freebies and goodies.
For me. I got a lot of Kagas before finding Akagi, my fav. Yes, this was when the Shimakaze event was active. Same time I joined
Ah, so you had the reverse situation. It's funny how RNG can be sometimes!
I joined about 2 months ago (during the revelations of dust event) and I love this game! I had just finished watching the anime and this game is fun! So far I have about 28 super rare characters, without ever having to spend a single cent on the game!
Congrats, welcome, and enjoy!
this was so nostalgic E, thank you so much for sharing this with us. seeing all this made me ambivalent about so many things in the game. on the one hand I don't miss having to grind a full intensive weeks of manual map navigation just to get prints for a single gold catapult or hellcat, but on the other hand I miss that feeling of having everything be new, to get a random new ship from construction and trying to figure out how to implement her into my fleet, etc.
the story too, even though I do appreciate how the writing became really good ever since FDG's event finally tied every thread together beautifully, a part of me misses that happy go lucky vibe when the game didn't take itself seriously and was mainly about silly boat waifus that are so adorable. maybe it was me who changed, maybe now I am just 5 years more jaded and dull, lol
I miss the excitement towards finding out if a ship from the new event batch would turn out to be waifu material for me personally, I still look forward to see their art and hope for some interesting game play gimmick, but I just can't seem to get as attached to the new girls as much as I did to the earlier ones,. luckily I still hold dear many of my all times favorites . from that perspective, the idea of the Mk II ships might not have been as daring as it originally seemed.
new players have it so good, they get to enjoy the QoL improvements built from the ashes of retired players. btw, something you didn't touch is the gear lab, thanks to the new server campaign and those ludicrous gold gear selectors you didn't need it at all, but I wonder what the experience for new players is once they get to evaluate and balance farming materials for the lab in operation sirens vs farming prints in regular campaign, I find it interesting since there should be a feeling of accomplishment inherent in steadily evolving the gear one was already using rather than just grind for a new drop. likewise, I would like to know what the progression in OS feels like for someone that wasn't already over leveled and well armed when it launched
Once again, thank you for all the hard work, this project must have taken quite a bit of time
Thank you for joining and watching~! It does make everything feel really fresh to go back to the drawing board where everything is new and useful! It's a fun excursion!
I think it's natural to change as a person over over 5 years, and it's natural for the game to change as well. There just is hopefully still sometihng that kindles and ignites the fun and fire, but maybe in a different way.
There's something to be said about "firsts," so I understand having an attachment to early ships. After all, we've spent more time with them and they've become staples. But I think it's just a matter of giving new ships time to grow on us. Even early ships that are uber popular now were at one point very new.
As is the life of any evolving gacha, there will continue to be bridges and accelerators for new players to be able to catch up with the current content, and it makes sense as they continue to add stuff onto the endgame piece of things (from both a story and gameplay perspective). Accomplishments just sort of shift and change. They're still there, just for future milestones. It really reinforces the living and breathing nature of the game.
Thank you again for your thoughtful comment, and I really appreciate the support!
I started around this time last year and got around 98.7% of the new shipgirls released this past year ( I missed Trieste, Impero and Persus on my first two banners because I was new and don't know what I'm doing lol, and few others because I was too busy and missed the deadline). Definitely the most fair gacha game I ever played. Not to mention the character art is amazing and I absolutely love the chibi models
Agreed! Very reasonable rates, income, and the art is supreme. You'll get Trieste, Impero, and Perseus in the future!
This was a nice bit of nostalgia! I would watch a series of GuardianNewbE's journey through the New Player Campaign.
If people are interested, maybe we'll revisit this account and do more with it! Thanks for watching~!
yeah they really made it super easy for new players...back when i started in amagi server almost none of this was available . i missed riche cause there was no cube giveaways.
Yeah, it's come a long way!
I just started playing this game yesterday because of this video. The new player support helped me get 3 SR ships Bismarck, Enterprise and Nagato. I don't know how good they're but hey it's SR ships. Still learning the game but I'm having fun along the way.
Welcome to the game! Glad you're having fun!
Here's a link to our f2p cube saving guide for beginners, in case you find it helpful: ua-cam.com/video/rW1h-r7KyYg/v-deo.html
Just started new account, I also discovered you start with 2k guild points. So you can get unicorn + helena from guild shop for example.
Pity there's no new player campaign running now :*(
It's a bit of a bummer that the new server rewards don't persist, but they were really good. I also don't think it will take too too long for a newer player to catch up.
Even tho I've only been playing AL for around 10 months now, I can certainly say it's by far the most generous gacha out there. Wish when I started there was a campaign like this going on.
Yep, I agree! It would have been some a gamechanger to start with rewards like these.
Im starting a new account too
The new stuff for new players are really great specially compared to how it was for new players years back
The game has changed a lot since those early days! Lots of nice quality of life updates!
I started playing in April 2022. Now I've finished campaign, have around 525 shipgirls, almost finished with PR development, and I'm pushing towards 50 shipgirls leveled to 125. Been a hell of a ride and I've enjoyed every bit of it, just wish I had discovered the game sooner
Very nice progress! Eager to look towards the future of the ride, and hoping it'll be just as sweet as we've had it, if not moreso.
Downloading and suddenly this video pops up...Thanks,That was awesome. Was looking for other game to play, decided to play azure lane.
Welcome to the game! Here's our F2P guide as well for new players: ua-cam.com/video/rW1h-r7KyYg/v-deo.html
seeing this makes me wanna redo all those years' worth of playing since jp server launch...damn i get emotional TwT, and yes it so nice of the with all the boost that new player need for catching up with the old players, especially the permanent events and materials noice
It's been a long journey, hasn't it? We've come such a long way!
I've been really enjoying the new player experience myself. I'm not actually a new player since I played the beta/launch back in the day(lost my phone and with it my account about 4 months in) but its been so long that everything feels fresh. The newcomer campaign is also kind of crazy. Really sped up getting those retrofits for ships like Unicorn and San Diego. Already got 7 retrofits finished which really makes my fleets a lot stronger. The META ships(which I hear are generally considered pretty lame from a endgame perspective) are also a nice help to newcomers. The only real depressing thing is looking on the wiki at the all the cool looking Ultra Rare ships I missed and knowing that those ships very, very rarely get reruns so it'll be years before I get most of them. 😓
It's definitely a great time to come back to it. The jumpstart gives an incredible advantage, so enjoy and welcome back! Don't sweat the URs, you'll get a chance to get them over time.
This is actually nuts, you got Enty, Nagato, Alabama, Naganami, Kaga BB, Swiftsure and a couple more good SR ships, a metric ton of almost free top tier SSR/SR equipment, lots of cubes, books, bullins, cog chips and more in the first week or not even that, in the first few days of playing. You could definitely go all the way to Commander lvl 100 in less than half the time it took us both (I also started to play in 2019). You could also finish World 12, complete 90/95% of OpSi and also definitely complete D3 stages in events to get good points for the event shop in the first couple of months. New players have it incredibly easy, way more than I thought.
To be fair, many of the rewards were due to the new server (Little Enterprise) celebration rewards, but there is a pretty darn good startdash campaign for new accounts still. And there's a lot of QOL changes that have made grinding and upgrading way easier than what we had. Which is great for new players!
This is helpful for the aspiring degen.... I mean commanders. Good luck to the upcoming leaders of the ports.
Degen, commander, tomayto, tomahto. New players are eating well!
do you have to keep a copy of the ship for the tech research stuff or can you pair the dock down to just ones you like and still get the tech lab support stuff? (a quarter of my dock is commons and rares i dont really care about.)
I believe that once you unlock the tech fleet bonus for that ship, you don't necessarily need to keep the copy. But I haven't tested it myself, so I'm not 100% certain.
Interesting rundown to see a veteran player go through this. Ngl, I started the game a few days ago, and was overwhelmed by what to do. The shop that you showed has so much stuff, that I don't even know what i'm supposed to buy. Tbh; even the terminology seems like SO much. I have no clue what all the different categories are for the ships/girls and what each label represents. Would love a guide on how to deal with the UI in the game, what is important, and what needs detailed guides/patience to understand versus what can be quickly summarized etc. Like should i spam level my ships early asap, or save or better ones etc.
There are also so many random events going on, Its nice to see what you focused on doing that I can copy for now.
Welcome to the game! Just take your time, do your daily missions, and unlock as much as you can. I'll link our cube saving guide below in case it's helpful. *Strongly* recommend as a beginner to stick to your daily pulls, even on events, as it maximizes your cubes/coin efficiency, then splurge towards the end of the event if you really want the ships. From early to mid game, you can get by with the fleets I'm using in this video, and under. You want to make general story progress until Chapter 9+ since those stages are designed for coin farming in the future.
Upcoming event hits on the 25th, and I do have livestream video recap coverage of what was revealed. Since it's a UR ship, she's definitely worth pulling for, but as a beginner, resist the urge to go in hard on day 1 of the event. Dailies can do wonders. Don't pull for dupes, since you'll get plenty of bulins over time. Eventually, once you get in a good place with your account and a good rhythm/reserve, you'll be able to comfortably pull on ever banner and get every ship if you follow my linked guide (and the pinned comment of that guide). Enjoy!

@@GuardianEPlays Will do thanks!
Do not worry about Oil. Once you hit Level100 with your Captain, you may engage in Operation Siren. No Oil needed in that mode and you can play nearly 24/7. The longer i play this game the more rewarding it feels. Not like a lot other mobile games out there, where the further you get, the harder it will be to make progress. Playing this game ist just so rewarding. And it is so fair compared to the time you have to invest, in order to get the stuff that really is important. Even the events are nicely balanced and there is a lot of synergies between the missions.
Yep, you can freely play at your own pace, which is nice.
Started Azur lane around 250 days ago for a few days, and recently came back to the account to finally figure everything out and would you believe, watching this is what showed me the fact I could use items to level up my ships so just busted hundreds on them to get all the ship girls in ship shape :D
Welcome back! I know you're not really new, but here's our new player guide for saving cubes, just in case it helps: ua-cam.com/video/rW1h-r7KyYg/v-deo.html
The new players will never know the true grind.... and i dont mind at all
It's a big difference from back in our day!
if i remember i did get akagi on 3-5 SOS area after running slighty over 1 year almost every day i was allways out of oil x)
Hahah, yeah, sometimes it's just a battle of attrition! Over time, with enough patience, it'll happen.
As someone who started a week ago i must say the new player experience is so damn good i almost feel suspicion due to playing other games and when something similar happened everything went to hell or at least took a wrong turn in the near future
Welcome to the game! Devs have been generous since day 1, so I don't think you have to worry too much about the health of the game. Here's my F2p newbie cube guide if it helps: ua-cam.com/video/rW1h-r7KyYg/v-deo.html
Did you forgot the secretary missions?
I playing more then a year Azur lane.
But i recognize the secretary missions the first time, when i used sourcouf as my secretary and "accidentilly" clicked on her.
Nope, didn't forget. I didn't bother with them since I wasn't going to be able to finish them within the first 5 days this video covers.
Ahh, Yes!!! That giddy feeling when starting a new account, I can only imagine 😊
Definitely, definitely enjoyed watching this Awesome vid of your Azur Lane New Player Experience, getting some Abso-fraking-lute Noice AF new shipgirls on this new account
La Galissonniere META is, without a fraking doubt, looking Real Amazing AF right there
It really is invigorating! Thanks for watching and coming along the ride!
As someone who is just about to start this game.
Welcome and have fun! If it helps, here's our new player f2p cube saving guide: ua-cam.com/video/rW1h-r7KyYg/v-deo.html
Eh, got 81,3% ships in the archives, still need Alabama and U-47 on my now 1 year old account 😅 didn't miss a single day since then. its the most generous gacha game i know and i just love it.
You'll get both of them from rando pulls, just a matter of time! Definitely uber generous!
So many QoL boosts since 2017. New players would know not the times where the 3-4 foxes were meta and only 1-2 extra buxom ships.
Good thing as AL has far newer games as rivals.
It's really such a different world! We're now spoiled for choice, that's for sure.
Oh man. Memories.
We've come a long way!
I started to play it 4/5 years ago.The Intro was just Eugen pretends to be Bismarck, then called back and everyone else returns. Now i saw this new Intro Mission and I bursted out in laughter when I saw Hood was instantly sunk by Bismarck. I mean I shouldn't laugh about how a Shipgirl get sunked but the fact that it is historically accurate made me laughing. Am I a bad commander even when I will always defend the actions of Bismarck?
I suppose that would make you a good commander for Bismarck!
Your foxmines went just as well as mine did when I first started out.
Brand new, no idea who or what's good. I get Spence, fall in love with her, and get the two foxes shortly after. Everyone in chat going "foxmines, foxmines, foxmines" and here I am just confused "What are the foxmines? Why do they suck?"
Good times. My loli harem has now grown to over 28 ships over the years (started during OG Divergent Chessboard) and that new Pasta bote that looks like Anchorage? She's gonna be 29.
Love AL and how far it's come and will continue to play forever.
It felt quite poetic to get the foxes so quickly on this alt. But the game has definitely come a long way!
As a player who just started I’m sad that new player event is gone😭 I rly wanted enterprise.
You'll get Enty eventually over time, just a matter of patience! Welcome to the game - here's our f2p newbie cube saving guide, just in case it's helpful: ua-cam.com/video/rW1h-r7KyYg/v-deo.html
That video and the stickied comment are the most efficient way to farm cubes.
@@GuardianEPlays I got Enty then ended up finish fox mines getting both Akagi and Kaga within 3 days 👏🏽
You lucky bastard. 6 months in those damn mines. 6. Months. Anyways, with the salt being over, nice. The new support looks like it would be fucking clutch as hell.
Oh I experienced that on my main. More than 6 months. Newer players won't know that pain.
Azur lane episode 13: attack of the new players
(-ω-ゞ
you can even get unicorn and helena from Guild shop
That's true, good callouts.
good god, it was only 4 years ago and it already feels retro.
funnily around a month ago i watched a newer video with tips for new players and added some in the comments. xD
i thought about starting a new fun account too, but i have enough to do with my main account and other stuff... maybe, when i have more time. starting a new f2p, no pass, no skins, limited dockn no event ships... without gold and cubes, grinding up to lvl125 ships and lvl139 comander lvl ............................. meeeeeh. but as a little project for a chanal its a nice thing to do.
i think the start for real new players is so much better, than the stuff we got. getting 1-2 good fleets (ship wise) is really easy now. all the new shops, like guildshop and all. only negativ: you get chars from so many factions: back in my days, there where only 4 factions and some other event ships!
but is the equip system good explained for new players? like lvl up the teckboxes, gear raritys and stuff. and is the gear lab god explained for new players? can you even get gear there?
i cant really remember what i got 4 years ago... i think prinz eugen and some weapons? saratoga was for 0,99money or so? right, portland was a gift as well... omg i feel so old. everything now works different.
Speaks volumes as to mobile gaming lifecycles, and how quickly things develop, change, evolve!
I can definitely understand that. We've all got busy lives, and a lot of other time commitments, including other games. Even doing the bare minimum on a new account would be still be a timesink.
Getting up to speed is definitely a lot quicker, which will help them unlock and be ready for the additional content and events that have been added to the game over time. While it can be overwhelming to see all the ships, on the flipside, it can be invigorating seeing how many lovely targets there are in the game!
I don't think the equipment is explained particularly well. That's always been a big void in terms of good information. It's just not really elaborated on in a digestible way for new players because it's a lot of info. And what's suitable at mid is different from late, so by that time, most players have done their own research.
Gear explained well for new players? Its not even well explained for veterans. Basic required stuff like coefficient is hidden.
Its such a mess even the devs can't keep up, and with the last Gear Lab upgrade allowed you to "upgrade" an Iris gold gear into a WORSE Iris gold gear 😂
I started a new account a month ago and I didn’t get some of these options lol
Some of the rewards were unfortunately locked to the opening of the new server. I will say that most of these can be caught up by a new player after a few weeks, but it was a nice bonus.
Damn wished i knew about this before i started last month could've gotten a super boost
Aw, you do still get some startdash bonuses as a new player, but yes, the new server extras were really pretty amazing.
Welcome to the game! - here's our f2p newbie cube saving guide, just in case it's helpful: ua-cam.com/video/rW1h-r7KyYg/v-deo.html
That video and the stickied comment are the most efficient way to farm cubes.
i wish i have watched this video a week ago.... i started a week ago and went balls deep to the special pulls.... 3 super rare submarine pulls.... cant be mad but ah....
Welcome to the game! You could always restart if you only started a week ago. But if not, you could just try to do your daily pulls on the event banner. Also, we will be getting a collaboration (probably next month) with Senran Kagura, so it's worth saving for that as well. Good luck! And here's our F2P cube saving guide for new players, just in case it helps:
ua-cam.com/video/rW1h-r7KyYg/v-deo.html
can you transfer already purchased skins over to the new server?
no
I wish! But no.
I just started and half of the stuff you have access to I don’t see😢
Some of it was tied to the new server release. (´;ω;`) But welcome to the game! It's still quite easy to grind and catch up. Here's our f2p cube guide: ua-cam.com/video/rW1h-r7KyYg/v-deo.html
I've just started today and I feel BOMBARDED, AIRSTRIKED, TORPEDOED with icons, windows and over all I feel lost. I get rewards but I dunno what they all do and there are some events that are confusing as well
Ah, the deluge of notifications when starting a new gacha. Just take it a step at a time, grab everything you can, and sort it all out later. That's half the fun. Welcome to the game, and here's our f2p cube saving guide for newbies: ua-cam.com/video/rW1h-r7KyYg/v-deo.html
How do you speed up skill books?
It was a specific limited time event. They run them from time to time.
i remember when i started in 2020 it was starting to get easier but this easy the fox mines took me over 10 months
Things have definitely gotten a ton easier since day 1!
new players will never know the pain of not having a auto search on 3-4 and 6-4 to get the foxes and yuudachi
Those were the real struggle
Broooo I wish I had this support plan when I started playing 😢
It's a really huge jumpstart!
@@GuardianEPlays for sure I still don't have that french DD gun
@@kkm2505 You can massproduce them in the Gear Lab now. Much easier than Archive farming if you do OPS on the regular.
Last day I downloaded the game but it didn’t start I installed all the 10GB and it stopped on Network error why is that I wish someone could help me
That's strange, have you tried using Wifi?
@@GuardianEPlays Yes, I'm using wifi, I even used the vpn it opened to the servers and Didn't start the same word Network error
Started playing but coz there is no new player campaign stopped.
Honestly, it doesn't take that long for a new player to catch up to these rewards. There's still a new player campaign, it's just not the new server celebration stuff. The game is super generous.
I'm just starting and the begginer campaing and all the free pulls and rewards aren't there, so it's now a slow start. Such a shame, probably the game with less immediate newcomer rewards
Welcome to the game! These rewards were from the new server opening, but you still get a startdash campaign as a new player, and it's honestly pretty quick to catch up with how generous the game is. Here's our new player guide to f2p cubes, in case it helps: ua-cam.com/video/rW1h-r7KyYg/v-deo.html
I started when the game released and noped out pretty fast, came back a few months ago and it's ok if you power through the early stuff but it really needs a do over it's pretty bad.
I think with the jumpstart stuff, the initial account establishment is much much easier.
If only I had this when I started….
It's such a huge jumpstart!
@@GuardianEPlays it really is. I’m so glad your doing it too. Explained so well and it’s amazingly understandable
Thank you~!!
@@GuardianEPlays No problem Guardian. You are doing amazing my man. Keep it up.
This is why Azur Lane is the best gacha game to this day! Any other game would rather have you fill their pockets instead of giving you all this free stuff.
I was surprised there's so much stuff handed on a silver platter! But it's also a limited campaign. The general updates and startdash stuff is still quite nice.
not with me Fgo Epic7 AL Gfl BA Nikke not a single cent
but i gotta tell you that the other give you free stuff too
I play every one of those games except Gfl, and Azur Lane is so much more generous there's no contest. You can play any game f2p, that doesn't mean the experience is the same.
@@GuardianEPlays Which one is your fav?
Meanwhile there are ppl like me that are commander level 100+ and still don't have nagato
That wishing well has her name on it for you
damn shouldve started a couple of months ago i guess. there is literally nothing right now its rough as hell and makes this a tough watch. if they rerelease this in the next few months i guess i just throw this account away.
Ah, I'm sorry, but there is a short default start dash campaign, I thought? It doesn't compare to the server wide bonus, but it's still a little boost.
Uno mommento is drope rate in little enterprise is high?
No, rates are the same in every server.
@@GuardianEPlays oh I see so I need to have enough IJN fleet to fox mines btw I really wish new players campaign could comeback that is my only way to get enough gear.
Just hoping they do the newbie thing to those who are still mid game progress too😅
Mid game is where all the fun is tho!
Once you get to end game you're really just here for events and trying to grind all the ships to 120 or collect gear cuz you've completed everything challenging.
You have the greatest gift of all - more time with the game!
@@joereality1664 true enough.
i started on january, and my goal was to obtain the best mommy of this game: FDG. and today finally, no regrets, she is the besto waifu
Congrats on your FdG!
Guess they decided that the newcomer support campaign is too good? Started a few days ago and nothing of the sorts is there. What's even more fun - the nation I wanted to build a fleet from (Northern Parliament) is locked almost entirely behind events that I obviously missed. Fun fun fun.
Welcome to the game! It was a limited time celebration for the opening of the new server - Little Enterprise. There's still a startdash campaign with rewards and boosted EXP for new players.
Northern Overture is available in the permanent War Archives where you can drop Northern Parliament ships like Chapayev, Minsk, and Gangut, and there are a few also available in the exchange shops. There are some Northern Parliament ships in the regular build pool as well, though I'd advise not pulling on Heavy, but rather waiting for an event where they could appear in your pulls as a non-rate up SR. Also we get Wishing Well events sometimes where you can select your own rate-up ships for a custom banner, and you could select Northern Parliament permanent pool ships in that.
That aside, the other Northern Parliament ships will rerun, and then drop into the War Archives over time.
@@GuardianEPlays Northern Overture is indeed available, but if the drop rates are the same as with Kaga / Akagi, it would take months of 4 daily attempts to get them, if not years.
You get a guaranteed drop of Chapayev after 60 runs of D3.
Minsk and Gangut can be obtained from the Merit Shop.
@@GuardianEPlays So, 3 ships total plus Chkalov, kinda. Not even enough for one fleet. Idk, it's just annoying. A whole nation locked away behind events that rerun once every 2 years.
Either way - nothing you or I can do about it. Thanks for the replies.
where is this event? i played the game and there's no event like this
It was a specific timed event for the Little Enterprise server launch. But there should still be regular startdash stuff available to help.
@@GuardianEPlaysguess ill need to wait for another new server to get this than,,
My account is 7 days old today but I only really started playing 2-3 days ago. I got Unzen on my 2nd 10 pull and I am enjoying the game, only missing Hatsuzuki from the limited ships.
Welcome to the game! Here's our F2P cube saving guide for new players: ua-cam.com/video/rW1h-r7KyYg/v-deo.html That + the pinned comment under the video is the most efficient way to hoard resources. Congrats on the Unzen!
I’d still like to see more, as currently, it’s not enough for newer players to get all the ships and reruns, and the oppressive look
(It looks intimidating with all these good ships you cannot get, and all sorts of stuff)
I’d say it’s worse overall in statistical terms, but it’s statistics, they can lie often, but things are definitely easier, but statistically 2020-2021 was the easiest time
I don't really agree with the 2020-2021 thing. There are so many new QOL changes that allow advancement quickly for a new player today versus then. Just because there were fewer ships to collect doesn't make it better.
You can't and shouldn't look at it from the perspective of a new player collecting all ships quickly and freely. I think it's a flawed analysis, especially as the game grows and the pool expands. It's really about how quickly you can establish an account first and start saving. I stand by that if a new player is patient and doesn't squander resources, they absolutely can get all ships for free within a reasonable time, as I've preached until my lungs exhaust. It's just that the majority of players don't learn to do this, or aren't willing to.
@@GuardianEPlays I meant statistically, joining back then probably would’ve been optimal for how likely someone would stay, but only that
It’s as you said, many aren’t willing to wait ages and save up, it’s more a psychological thing due to feeling like one’s missed out
It can definitely be a mental block. Just gotta have a positive outlook, and measured goals towards having a late game account. Time in the game beats trying to game the time needed.
Now we know why NJ rerun is delayed
To accommodate the new server? I think that might be possible.
When u can pick 30 gold gear is insane lol is there other game do that
It's just a huge boost to a young account, it's pretty awesome!
Cant you get little enterprise anymore? I didnt get her for some reason
Little Enterprise's rerun ended around April 19th. Did you grind the trust points to unlock her permanently?
@@GuardianEPlays i just started last night so yeah guess i missed her feelsbad she so cute
Ah, I'm sorry, but she will return one day.
Better loading screens than Nikke
Azur Lane loading screens are top tier
i just started the game and found out there is no new player support anymore so i quit it
Aw, there's still a ton of bonus stuff for new players, and it's easy to catch up... but I can understand being disappointed the new server dash isn't there.
@@GuardianEPlays tbh i played the game when it was first released and bough some skins but then my phone broke and lost my acc so i wanted to stay away then a few days i though meh ill try it again and while installing the 12+GBS i watched ur video and thought the new player support is dope but then when IT FINALLY finished downloading....it was grinding all over again and then saw no player support i got annoyed and uninstalled it lol
I couldn't see the beginner build screen on mine
It does seem like it may have been a limited time event. (´;ω;`) The new server bonuses were for opening the Little Enterprise server.
I was on the little enterprise's server, and the deadline is ar july 21 I think
I think Akagi killed Kaga, i've been farming 3-4 since 2019😃
Yeesh! Have you been trying to do your daily Hard Mode tries on 3-4? I think the rate is the same, but I feel like spreading things out can help mentally with the grind.
new players won't know the pain of waking up in the midnight to click the finished 12 hour project to resume the next one.
Hahah, yes... those were the days.
The downside is... No neptunia.
Wait, I don't have Neptunia myself.
*Cries*
As much as the game became easier to play, with all the auto-stuff it also, I dunno, became slightly more boring or less engaging? Just keeping the phone on the side rather than the more pro-active of old. Still love it, but definitely need a side-piece with it now. Now to find a fitting game for that though, tried a few but none stuck.
* Yes, yes, Laffey... and you had to ruin the joy like 5 seconds name by your username... Laffey stare indeed.
* GuardianE not reading patchnotes to know the 40 builds is on a seperate newcomer banner with special currency. Laffey, go at it again!
* Cries in like the 300 combined builds among rerun and war archive to get 1 Nagato.
* Yes, they were always +6. Also even though I lost F2P status ages ago I still haven't redeemed that Saratoga tab XD. Had her fully retrofitted long before said first purchase.
* "Only newcomers' build tickets may be" Classy EN AL. Wonder if they fixed that by now...
* Yeah I definitely would recommend full fleets over that oil saving for new players, not sure why that's recommended. It nerfs your progress, which in turn makes your oilgeneration level up slower and in the end you probably have gotten yourself less oil, for the nice cost of less XP too.. what a steal, right?
* Also the earlier you got those 40 tickets, you can actually do commissions XD. Almost as painful as reaching level 100 with 1 ship and then getting 3 cog chip dailies. Oh, that was paaain.
* Huh... reading the patchnotes I thought the rapid training was for old players and the newcomer is for newer, but they can also do the quick 10x training? Seems like a bug since the UI under events pretty much says it should just be commanders joining before [blank date, but there's one in the patchnotes].
* That PvP footage gives me physical pain. Of course my own PvP experience at the start was I launched like 2 planes and then I had 20 coming back at me... it made it go much faster atleast.
* There's one thing we lost, nuclear Indianapolis.
* Fake new player experience. No way, even in 2023, you'd mine foxes in one week... no waaaaay.
* It hasn't even been that long and you already forgot the original library experience. Sure, it wasn't as effective as using them as cannonfodder or fattening them up, but... you could use all together (wait, could we use ships in the library in combat? I forgot. I know there were a TON of blocks they lifted these past years).
* Oh SURE, just casually pull a Gloucester, one of the 2 light construction ships eluding me for 3 YEARS.
Ah, that's true. Collabs in general really, though a few of them could come back at some point, you know! It's not unheard of.
That's a good point, with automation comes less engagement. It's just sort of a consequence of being a late game player. Beginners still have to manual play until chapter 2, and there's still constantly new stuff to unlock and achieve, so it's still exciting. Maybe I'm biased because I have a lot of side-pieces, but I don't need a single game to be too possessive of time.
@@GuardianEPlays Filled out the OP during the vid.
With Idea Factory / Felis developing Crosswave (and another coming title?) I really wish they'd do a Neptunia rerun/part 2 (plenty of characters to use). Obviously they have good relations with them still.
I'm very happy auto-combat unlocks so soon. If I had to manually control my fleets any longer I definitely would not have stuck around.
I know that Laffey secretly loves my new name!
I really did skim over the newcomer stuff, I have to admit. Even before I went into this sorta blind, I didn't read it all.
It's nutso that you basically get Nagato as a starter on these new accounts!
Ah, okay, so the +6 was a thing back then. I guess it was just really cheap to get them up to +6, so it was a low bar reward for them to reach at the time.
I'm sure it's still a typo, hah. I haven't checked.
Way back, I did do 1:1 fleets a lot just because I didn't really care about unlocking commander level past a certain point. I think I'd already maxed the oil generation in the academy by that point. But I do understand the value in the early sprint getting that Commander Exp to at least unlock all the sections.
True, the sooner you can build out that dock, the more opens up to you just as far as completing missions and dailies!
The rapid campaign definitely works on new accounts, whether that was a glitch or typo or not. Maybe it was originally a mistake, but they're just going to let it ride.
I'm not a big fan of the PVP in general, but watching my fleet miss for like 4 minutes was uber pain.
Ah, yes, radioactive Indy.
The startdash lets you basically instantly get to 3-4 and be in a position to grind it. RNG smiles on the newbie account, it seems. Definitely not my main account, hah.
Wow, I actually did completely forget about the classes. I can't remember if it was limited to ships you weren't using. Maybe it started that way, but then changed in an update? Or maybe not even.
You'll get that Gloucester! Just a matter of time!
Yeah, returning collabs with additional ships is definitely not unheard of when the companies have a solid relationship, like they have with Idea Factory. Though it's most common when they're promoting another title in the series or something. But it could happen!
@@GuardianEPlays You'd have to be pretty high level to max oil in the past and since they added more levels, meaning also a higher commander level (but also more oil than we got, not to even start on the 4k pack). I don't have 166 maintenance mails full of oil for nothing now, so much.
Rechecked the patchnotes, it specifies accounts made before 28/2. But yeah, guessed they messed up somewhere, either ingame or on the patchnotes.
Time... or that wishing well we get at anniversaries ;)
Well, IF just released sister vs sister, and there's of course that unknown AL game they work on though who knows when that's done...
If I was a new player, I would spend the tickets and save all the cubes given. Then focus on getting to at least world 10.
There's plenty of easily obtainable ships that will get you there so you can start some kinda gold farm.
Then save to 400 cubes and wait to spend on a UR banner that drops every 3 months.
You're likely to sweep the banner and still have a lot of cubes left if RNG was AVERAGE.
From here you should be able to really manage your cubes and gold... You'll probably want to skip some rate up banners to save cubes, maybe skip some lesser re-run banners, but it should be possible to sweep all NEW banners going forward.
Then you'll really get into the rhythm of the game, being able to pull all the new ships and progress the rest of the game leisurely.
Yeah, it's definitely important to get to a point of stability. I don't think new players need to rush to World 10 per se, but it should be a long term goal amidst unlocking all the modes and building up the fleet with the powerful options immediately available. New players should basically be saving every cube doing the commission rotation method, sticking to dailies on new events. With the huge number of tickets for free on reruns, they can sometimes sweep without spending a single cube. And to target what they like and go in if they love a design/ship. Meta/tier isn't really important at all except for late late game.
@@GuardianEPlays W10+ is just needed for gold stability. Without it there will be a real struggle to farm the gold required for pulls and keep enough oil to participate in new events.
I would prioritize getting to a point where sweeping new banners consistently is no longer a worry... And with the aid they're getting, can be done very quickly.
It helps. I'm not saying it's a bad idea to beeline to Chapter 10. It's a great strategy. Just that there are multiple ways to approach, and people don't have to drop everything to rush there to still efficiently gain resources and get all ships. You can definitely have enough resources, including coins, to sweep every banner and complete every event without Chapter 10.
Personally thought even though you can recommend the whole "pick any of the starters" I really don't think new players should start with Javelin unless that player REALLY like her...the initial work is needed more then the other two
It doesn't make a huge difference either way. New players have access to ships that will supercede the starters for the initial leg of their accounts, and by the time they build the starters fully, they'll probably have gotten all 3 (4) from pulls/grind.
@@GuardianEPlays still doesn't work change my feeling Javelin is probably the trickiest to start the game with
ughh i just want kaga to sit on my face but hey after 80 tries I got akagi
I know that pain. Here's hoping you get Kaga soon! Good luck!

Everything in this game look awesome but the gameplay, cant get into azur Lane because of that
Ah, that's a shame. It's not for everybody.
is there any gameplay or is this just a gotcha idle simulator with TCG
You can see the gameplay in the video. As with most gacha, you can auto/idle most things if you want.
Rip new peeps like me who didn't start when this was going on that's definitely some fomo lol

Have fun!
Yeah I just started playing it like few weeks ago
And yeah the game is full on virgin people
And the pain with the farming
As a long time player honestly I'm sick and tired of this game. It just isn't the same as it was before. Too many ships who don't get any love, gameplay is pretty boring, story is not player friendly due to everything being locked behind events and even with the archives it'll take forever before an event is added, powercreep is a huge bitch due to those who need an upgarde or boost don't get it, the controversies practically screwing a character over from getting anything, etc.
To me if feels like the only thing keeping the game afloat is the skins and even then imo it's not worth it to keep playing. The game I once loved is not fun anymore and I'm sick of feeling like the only one who feels this way.
I mean these things shouldn't sway people from starting, but I wish I could say the game is fun.
It's okay to feel burnt out. It happens. I don't agree that there's any powercreep at all, really, and while there are issues, the game has been getting plenty of care and QOL updates. Maybe what's changed isn't the game, but you. And that's okay too.
@@GuardianEPlays doubt it's me since I do still enjoy collab events, the characters, and every other azur lane media. Maybe I really do just need a break from the game
@@Blue_XIII When you play a game, you don't need to be glued to it for every waking day and grind and event. Only do that if you're enjoying it. Otherwise, it's fine to just take it easy or take a break as needed. Nothing's really changed, but sometimes players just need to reset and refresh themselves.
I began playing yesterday, after watching your video today I am quitting.
I am lvl 25 with not even 1/10th of the resources/ships you have by the end of this video. What a fucking joke that this isnt a mainstay new player event. No point in playing until theres another event like this.
This entire video took 1 to 2 weeks of progress, not a single day. If you've only played for one day, it'd make sense you don't have the same amount of resources. While the new server rewards are definitely nice, these are not really end-game rewards. New players will naturally surpass much of this stuff pretty quickly.
38:30 while I would absolutely despise you for this (the fox mines were not kind to me).
26:20 I will forgive you for this. Any love for my waifu is reciprocated by me. Great video, truly enjoying all your content, specifically nikke and azur lane.
Ah, thank you for the forgiveness~! My year 1 foxmines hunt was also plagued with difficulty, so I can relate.
@GuardianEPlays heard about that. Honestly, it takes the sting off mine a bit hearing just how bad you had it. 😅
