Thank you all very much for your support. It's incredible to be able to visualize something as magical as Oathbringer's Part 5. Don't forget to visit Lamaery's website to let him know that you liked his illustrations🙏🏻 lamaery.tumblr.com
"You were going to fight an army with a book" "No, there's someone else that I must fight." "With a book?" "...Yes." "Sure, alright." "Do you have a weapon?" "Nope. Can't read." Best interaction in ever.
I so badly want an epic big budget series of the Stormlight Archive. To be able to see this scene and Dalinar opening the perpendicularity, and then all the radiants bursting into light will be amazing. Until then this will do nicely.
The impact of the music would be a bit stronger if I didn't have to keep pausing and rewinding to be able to both read the text and see the artwork. I would recommend another 50% more time minimum for each shot. Great job synchronizing the music with what was happening in the story though!
Hi! First of all, thanks a lot for your feedback! Yep, I know that sometimes you don't have enough time to read the entire dialogue. I tried to maintain a balance between visual fluency and reading dialogues. I did it thinking that in a second viewing where the dialogues were already known, that extra speed in the images would be enjoyed more. Thanks for your support!
Recovering addict here. Honestly accepting what I have done and where I stand is both the first and a part of each step of the recovery process. It is a process of *uniting* the mind and the body. Honesty is the process of refusing to surrender the healthy pain of self awareness to my escapes (aka overpowering emotions of lust, anger, resentment, fear, jealousy, drugs, porn, hunger, loneliness) and to take actions in order to unite my mind and my body together. This is the process of taking responsibility. And the pain and patient working of the steps to recover is worth it all. The beauty and power that results from finding this pathway to God is there and its there for everybody. How? Because everybody has the power to choose to be honest. Everybody has the gift of trying to choose again. Please use it now, because the sooner you make that choice, the sooner you can recover.
AAAHHHHH! Another stormlight animatic!!! I'm soo glad to see another one. Well done, awesome choice of music and great artwork!!! But I will just point out that since this is in Oathbringer Kal is clean-shaven (stubbly maybe from the hike through Shadesmar) and is in his early twenties, but I understand that since the books describe him as having a ''rugged appearance'' it's easy to make him look older than he actually is in artwork. Just saying that he does not have a full beard and he is a young man. This is truly amazing tho - gave me all the good chills! I especially loved the Jasnah/Renarin art - spot on!!! I hope to see more in the future! Life before death, Radiant
This is amazing. It's been more than one year since I read Oathbringer and uughhh! This still hits really hard. Really good selection of music, and the art is also great. I got chills watching this.
This scene is Dalinars, but after reading edgedancer and having Lift in the middle of the action, having her here standing next to Dalinar is Surreal as fuck, because you can tell that she was half ready to throwdown with a shardfork.
RoW spoilers I saw a theory be given that Syl wanted Kaladin to speak the Fourth Ideal at that point. At the time the reader is probably left to think that it's so Kaladin can get stronger or whatever, but when that Ideal is actually noticed, it takes a darker turn where saying it would mean that he'd be willing to leave Adolin to die in Shadesmar to save what he can. (Pretty sure that was the result of the theory anyway.) Of course, we know what happens. Kaladin didn't need to speak the Ideal yet, everyone lives etc. Yet another epic sanderlanche.
Oh my the ART! Absolutely stunning. I don't know why, but the scene with Jasnah and Renarin gets me every time, and the art just captures it so well. Great compilation. Great music. Great book.
Thanks a lot for your amazing work and for making it possible for us to visualize the incredible final part of Oathbringer. Pd: Your Jasnah Kholin design is my favorite among all those I saw. It feels really powerful and cold, as the book describes.
This is so freaking beautiful. I really like Oathbringer because of this part of the sanderlanch of that book. Its just... filledwith so many powerful moments. Lamaery does such an amazing job illistrting the stormlight archives stuff. Thier art has almost all but become cannon in my head. I would kill for them to be like the official artist of a stormlight archives graphic novel version of the book
incredible the power of music, while watching the video I felt things that I had never felt while reading the book, knowing everything that this moment implies together with that beautiful melancholic and glorious music, incredible work 10/10
Da igual las veces que haya leído esto, da igual que me sepa los diálogos de memoria… cada vez que veo este video o leo esa parte de Juramenta me siento lleno de emociones. De todas. Magistral el video, gracias al autor!
Thank you sol much for making this, this part of oathbringer i genuinely beautiful. I credit it with snapping me out of a year and a half long depressive spiral that nearly killed me. I cannot express how grateful I am brandon created this story. I still go back and read it when that old enemy in my mind comes calling, still can't get through it without tearing up years later.
Incredible art. I hope to live to see the day this gets an amazing adaptation. A moment like this needs great writing, performance, direction and editing to come all together for it to work

Why is Odium in human form in this? o.o
I didn't expect to cry a little this morning. Awesome work.
I hope you liked it! This part hits hard :'(

Needs to be animated.
Something of this scale can't be done in live action.
Hollywierd would have a bisexual woman check his privilege
*Dies from peak fiction

Captured it so well both visually and emotionally - thank you to lamaery for sharing your Stormlight works. I've really appreciated them.
Thanks a lot for your words!
Well that was an awesome thing to accidentally find at 1140 on a Wednesday
"You cannot have my pain" Is possibly the best line from anything ever.
I wish I could explain to my friends how meaningful that sentence is without them having to have read 3 huge fantasy books.
1:19 It hits me so hard this panel, the way of representing the moment and those feelings is so amazing. This is a wonderful work of art
Thanks a lot for your feedback! I hope you liked it! :D
@@rdmartin0990 btw i loved Lift's desaing. It was pretty much how i imagined her, i really enjoy the entaire video.

Jesus, the art is insane. Just re-read oathbringer last week. Stunning! .. Also Lift scenes haha.
If there is ever a show or a movie of the Stormlight Archive, I would be happy if this scene is half as good as yours. Awesome work!
Thanks!!! :D
Him saving Venli in the vision is one of my favorite moments in this book
This is so good. 10/10 got me tearing up something fierce
Thanks a lot! I'm glad you liked it, I love these books.
Wow. This was so beautiful. Having this moment visualized made me tear up at work.
You should be listening to the Audio Books then. The emotion conveyed from them is immense. Just reading the words is nowhere near as impactful.
got me fuckin UGLY crying
Incredible.
I can't wait to see this on a TV series and cry as much as i did when i read it.
Amazing job my friend, congratulations.
Thanks a lot! :'D
Great work, but transitions were a bit too fast, need a little more time to read. Think you could release this as a pdf?
This is amazing!! Only thing I wish it had was Odium saying 'We killed you!' to the 'I am Unity' line.
Thanks a lot! I hope you liked it :)
@@rdmartin0990 I really did! Sent it to a bunch of friends. Hope it gets more attention :)

The scenes go by a little fast but it’s still pretty awesome, i read it so I know what’s going on
Thanks a lot for your feedback! I hope you liked it!
Its way too early for this kind of emotional punch 🤣
Oathbringer's Part 5 hits so hard:(
Storms !!!! i got goosebumps all over my skin. i always cry at Kaladin being the one to be saved ..

Espera..

While all of this was beautiful, the thing that stood out to me oddly enough was dalinar "reaching between worlds". That looked so cool.
This is beautiful. Really, really beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this!
Thanks to you!!
I never realised how beautiful these moments are.
hermano: IMPRESIONANTE.
The visuals are fantastic but the fonts used for the text are *extremely* unfriendly to dyslexic people
Man what would I give to get an anime adaptation of the stormlight archives
