@@jdrein9511I picked up a 2023 A3 Shimano like 5 months ago, I have no regrets, though that is partly because of how they’ve dropped the A3 spec and now the entry level is around $1600 CAD more than I paid.

Great looking bike!! But Looking at the geo numbers it makes me like my Stumpjumper evo even more 2021 model with current geo numbers and travel, UDH compatible, mullet compatible, tube in tube cable guides, holds a water bottle, frame storage and swat tool, just golden for me!! I’ve been thinking of getting a new bike but all new bikes just don’t give enough reasons for the change including prices 😅
I’m in the exact same boat. I went alloy SJ Evo as I bought during covid and couldn’t get anything in carbon, and now it’s full custom, cascade link and coil. I’d like to try a carbon frame or get a new frame at minimum but I can’t find anything that makes me go for it, other than maybe a S-Works SJ Evo frame if I find the right one. If I don’t find anything over the summer, will probably buy an Arrival 150 next winter if they go on sale.
Stumpy's only problem is that it is ugly! The assimetric tubes are nasty ahahahhaa They should take the Enduro look, with the shock near BB and it would be great.
I like this bike straight away. If Norco have managed to make it climb acceptably they've got a winner there. And....can I just say after years & years of watching bike reviews on YT, Mike Kaz is still my favourite dude for relatable, down to earth bike tests. Thank you Mike.
After Hardline last week, Gracey sending it in the Norco ad is all the marketing my weak brain needs! @pinkbike Do you guys read all the geo #s and measurements BEFORE riding and reviewing the bikes? I think it would be great to hear reviews when the testers have no clue what mm chainstay, HA, etc.
Yeah! I bet all the comments are made based on the numbers. I also bet nobody can notice 1-2° on HT or ST. The impressions are completely biased by the geo charts.
I ride the last Gen of Sight with a Cascade link and coil shock and I honestly can't see how it could be improved. As Mike said, it fits perfectly in-between the enduro sled and trail bike category. I'd definitely be curious to try out a high pivot version though.
I've been thinking of doing this to my sight for a long time. With the cascade link adding a touch of travel did you stick to the 185×52.5 or did you go 185×55? Which shock did you go with? Oh and are you on 29"?
