Both bands sound great I like Alcorn’s song selection and arrangements better they were more complex and although The GG’s couldn’t do the ramp they still marked the field after the game with the routine. I enjoyed listening to this 5th seemed better than the Boom Box 5th

Alcorn has gone back to their older sound before the 2000s. Full, all sections highlighted...but this version is much cleaner. That's your foundation, a brassy stereo. Grow it. I personally felt it was way too su-ish the past 4 years. These two bands now look and sound nothing alike and their competition level is UP THERE because of it. Yeah. Keep doing that. JSU is a louder version of the giant jazz band they are. I likes it. Very entertaining by both.

Rd1: Alcorn easily they brought the heat, Boom brought the sloppy (only sounded good on the closing portion they decided to loop). Rd2: Boom Rd3: Debatable round here, I'll take the Corn tho. Rd4: Corn. Corn had a very interesting arrangement, Boom sounds great here but this is more of a zero quarter arrangement, would've been good if they were starting the round and not responding. Rd5: Boom. Both bands decided to crank. Boom took it. Rd6: Corn. those trumpets are holding it down fasho
Mississippi Burning, its plan to see that the Boom and J-cetts came to a Gunfight with pocket knives, The Sounds of Dynamites and The GGs came with cannonballs, totally caught The Boom and J-cetts off guard. What battle, Dr Martin declared war early in the season.
I’m not gonna lie. I love JSU, really do. But I feel like we should make better detailed songs. The songs are very good but definitely needs more depth because they sound very one noteish. It’s always blow, break, blow, end…reprise, break, blow. Switch it up because bands are catching up fast.
The thing that I don’t like about JSU tubas though slightly impressed is them playing above the staff the way they Are. I just don’t like my tubas up there that much and just about everything they play they are up there. Bb or C is about As high as I’ll go. You can still impress

Clean sweep for JSU all across the board.. JSU just got a more mature collegiate sound..its like a grown man VS a teenager. Alcorn has improved but JSU is decades in the game for this kinda thing..an improved sound doesn't mean a W automatically just means u still have a hill to climb to get up there.
And because you were good in the past doesn’t give you an automatic W. Alcorn had to walk in quietly, y’all closed the ramp, the announcer kept interrupting them and they still came away with the W. Read the comments from the 5th qtr!

It’s almost like they sound like a totally different band when he’s on the box. I definitely enjoyed it more than the BoomBox 5th that I attended. More enjoyable battle for both orgs and entertaining for all the fans.
