I particularly like the take of keeping the successful design of the switch and improving optimization/QOL. There is so much work to be done in those areas and the concept of the switch itself does not need to be altered too much IMO
The Upscaling via AI could work really well if 60 could bring to 120 based on what is going on with PCs

I would like to argue n say that this isn't a pattern rather nintendo just had a slip up. They went from the n64 to the gamecube. 2 of the greatest consoles of all time. Then followed up by the wii. I would just say that it was the wii u's marketing. Cause when I first saw it I didn't really know what it was either. I thought it was a gamepad that connected to the wii. It wasn't really the most straight forward thing in the world. The whole "this is a new console" cause I think they mainly advertised the gamepad. Which cause a whole Lotta confusion. I'm just going off memory here though so I could be wrong. But I don't think this is a "pattern" and I don't think there's anything to worry about
The N64 and GameCube were kinda also failures compared to the PS1 and PS2. They both had incredible limitations and not many developers wanted to work on them, even if they had good games.

Why are people so obsessed with 4k and graphics?? I swear people believe their eyes can see details that aren't even there. 1080p is plenty.

I don't disagree - the real product will look much more polished. But these were actually commissioned and posted online by Wood (BeatEmUps) on UA-cam! I'm happy to say they weren't AI generated haha.
