Singing for a hardcore band and choke slamming a fan is embarrassing! You can see him looking at everyone that gets on stage looking for his opportunity.
I understand the situation with Dimebag but like this is a punk rock show. Fans get up on stage. Long as they ain’t fuckn up the band point em off stage. No need for a choke like that. 😮
Mike is awesome but that was going too far, he was kicking fans asses all night that night ! I like that he's aggressive but wow, he thrashed a bunch of fans that night
I have always liked Mike but wow that night he was roughing up the fans big time, all night - even roughed up a chick that got on stage. I've always respected Mikes bravado but that was kinds ridiculous
It kinda depends, if the crowd messes with band they'll probably get rough back, even back when rollen was in the band and stuff they would fight the crowd that fought them. But honestly I would gladly get pushed to the ground by one of my idols hahaha
@@georgeharrison4179 Saw Rollins (recently turned 62) this evening perform one of his spoken word solos show . .you know where he get's on stage and talks about his life and everything. This guys spits stories like a machine gun for 2.5 hours without a bottle of water in sight. So entertaining. I could totally see him in a hardcore band today and still reduce the venue to a pile of rubble.
A Black Flag “cover band” with only the original guitarist/songwriter is better than no Black Flag at all. They broke up way before my time, so I’m glad to have the opportunity to get even a sliver of the original experience.
Vallely is hardcore. He's the real deal. He once bailed Chad Muska from the grips of a security guard. He also took on a group of jerks harassing his skate buddies. He's tough as fuck and also a very down to earth individual.
did Black Flag play after this band?
Haa, that is Black Flag, at least the new version , still Ginn
What did Mike famously say to Chavo in 2014? "IT'S OVER."
Yes, Mike and Greg, it's over.
1:40 is the softest, cutest little stage dive i’ve ever seen
lol 👍

I've always liked Mike but he was way outta line that night, this clip doesn't do it justice, he was openly attacking fans all night, even the chicks
@@FTWLiveMusicScene that’s shocking tbh.
absolutely, jerk move

Finding out that Mike is in black flag made me happier than it had any right to
👍👍
Same, dude. I just found out and this rules
They're touring this whole album
@@nickchapman8474I'm gonna see them in Santa Cruz on the 6th
@weea_boo_trash9812 I'm seeing em in Fort Collins four days after you see em.
My favorite skater singing for one of my fav bands. Super rad!!!! Greg's gotta be like mid 60's thats awesome.
Vallely is awesome..one of my favs too - he's 51
Ginn is like 80 years old - I saw him back in the 1950's when he first started Black Flag in his basement (It was just him with a cheap guitar)
The irony of Mike singing "We are tired of your abuse" and then choking a fan out on stage is just amazing to me
Mike is awesome but that was going too far, he was kicking fans asses all night that night ! I like that he's aggressive but wow, he thrashed a bunch of fans that night
Total BS! against what BF was originally...new version sucks
He actually should be choking out Greg Ginn for playing with no energy, having no rhythm and missing notes worse than usual...lol
Why was Greg and mike roughing up the fans? Isint it punk culture to mosh and run/jump off stage?

Black flag front men have been beating up the crowd since the 80's
Time stamp when Greg was roughing up a fan?
Dude i didn't know one of the greatest skaters of all time, and one of my favourites, was in black fuckin flag, too good man
Yaa Vallely is bad ass...He's been fronting for them for awhile
honestly dont think he can match Henry's energy when performing Rise above
Different for sure..Different from Henry, Keith, or Ron - But I like Vallely
He’s not Rollins
No one can match henry rollins but I'd bet even current Henry wouldn't match up very well with a young angry henry
Henry had that energy in his 20s, Mike V is 52 and still kicking

They ended the cover
Now black flag is going to perform "Rise Above" with Keith, right?
Black flag = greg ginn
Whether you like it or not.
This'll never compare to the band circa 1982 but i guess its the songs that count.
Agreed ! that era was no doubt the best !!
Wonder why Journey can get a new singer and thrive and Black Flag can't?
I saw Flag last weekend and Mike V was totally awesome! Who gives a crap?!!
Right ! 👍
It's a black flag cover band
Technically the still have Ginn...I guess they all were cover bands over the years, they changed out band mates all the time

Who is the backing singer?
I had no idea Mike Vallely was singing for them!
He's been at it awhile, he's pretty good too
Same! Just learned
Kickflip
Black flag could do huge venues if Greg let his ego go and brought back any half decent former member…..
Fuck huge clubs
Greg IS Black Flag.
@@jamie_nelson thanks captain obvious, can you now state the also obvious that modern black flag sucks ?
Yesssss

That video of him fighting like 4 or 5 guys at once is LEGEND status
Yea the way he grabs the dude by the throat while he ran on stage, so down to earth
@@jawshua9249 don't mess his performance

Not Black Flag
didn't know the queer eye guy played bass for Black Flag now.
Not only are they tired of your abuse, greg ginn is TIRED
Is this punk rock karaoke? It certainly isn't black flag .
You're right, that isn't Greg Ginn 😆
He sounds kinda like Rollins actually
Kinda does
No Henry.. no Black Flag.
Henry was the worst member arguably, at least in terms of punk rock
LOL!! He was the FOURTH singer for BF. Jeez!!
@@kilehussey9919 Irrelevant... HE was ultimately what MADE Black Flag.
