My sister in law, who lives in culver city, took me and my wife up there and it was as close to a rock and roll heaven, on earth, as u can get. I can't imagine living there in the 70s with all the musical talent that was not competing with each other but rather encouraging and feeding off each other. Loved the general store where u could walk in on a sunday morning and see mojo risin, momma cass or frank zappa. Heaven on earth!
Yeah, you have to be careful in those hills. One wrong turn and you're on a 20%er! But I love riding through all those narrow, winding streets and seeing all the gorgeous houses. The detour worked out well for this one!
Man, I was getting winded going uphill just by watching this ! ! I know this was speeded up but may I say what a good set of lungs you have ! ! You are fit. Uhhh, to be young ! (sigh) I sure enjoyed this. Thanks for putting in good background music...seriously. Loved this. Thank you.
Haha no, thank you for thinking it was sped up, I'll take the compliment!😄😄 I don't speed anything up, you all get to suffer with me😂. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video🙏
WOW! I used to think, if I were wealthy, I would go and live in the South of France. Now, after seeing this vid', I have decided that I would buy a house in Laurel Canyon. If you ever want to shack up with a poverty-stricken old Englishman, and share my poverty, I'm here. Only joking, of course. Love this video.
I didn't know there was a way to get from Moraga and Sepulveda to Mulholland through all those narrow residential streets. It's bittersweet for me to see so much of those routes that I was riding in 2016 and '17 before fate ended a relationship and health took me off the bike. I don't think I could have made those climbs on my vintage steel with a 39-26 and would have struggled on my modern carbon in a 34-29. Can't tell you how many times I have ridden through the VA (where my father worked) on both club and solo rides in the '80's and '90's!
Yeah, I first took that route on the Roscomare video to get to the cool house from Beyonce's Tiffany's commercial😄. I really like approaching Bel Air from that way rather than through UCLA. It's nice to switch it up and go on new streets! But yeah, with those hills, the right bike is key. I don't know if I could've done it on a steel frame, either!
@@SpokesWoman There was only a 3.5 lb difference in weight between my Trek Emonda and my favorite steel bike. In my prime I did all those climbs on various steel bikes with, at best, a 39x26 low gear.
@@SpokesWoman it's at about 8:26 up on your right hand side... It's one of those like three houses I'm not positive which one but one of them is the one. Seriously. What a cool bike ride I love the video and look forward to more 👍
Greetings from Miami! What a spectacular scenic tour! Thank you so much for sharing this adventure. I truly enjoyed it.
My old hometown! Miami will always have a special place in my heart. So glad you enjoyed the ride!❤️

Right?! Amazing to think about all the songs we have thanks to the talent and creativity concentrated in this one area🎵
I thoroughly enjoyed that! The background music was perfect! Thank you!
Thank you, glad you liked it! I had to watch the video again to remind myself what music I used. It WAS good!😄
This was exhilarating! ( love your channel name) 👏🏻💜
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it😊
incredible climbing, the most I found here in Vegas is briefly 10°. thanks for the Strava links. that makes so much sense to go down Laurel Canyon

Haha I'm glad you enjoy the video and see some future homes. There are so many nice neighborhoods in LA, it's hard to choose which house to buy haha😉

You can feel 3.5lbs! I would love to be 3.5lbs lighter😄
I think you went by Cass Elliott's very first house! Cool.
Ooo when, which one??😀 I love going by landmarks like that, and I love it even more if I know about them so I can point them out!😄

Great channel!!
Thanks!😊
The new style Tour Bus.
What's that?
This is the worst video I've seen. Supposedly Laurel Canyon and we never get there! She's at Bel Air, nowhere near Laurel Canyon.
Ha! I go down Laurel Pass to Lookout Mountain to LAUREL CANYON BLVD😆
Stopped watching after you blew through the 1st stop sign. No wonder drivers hate cyclists out there.
You are not invited to my slumber party!
