Very nice review. I don't have any of those upgrades except the Van Compass 4.3. I think option 1 is off-road, 2 is city and 3 is highway and high winds. I set my number 2 (city driving) sub-settings to 2-6. Has something to do with shock and rebound but who knows lol! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Anthony! The suspension is a must have for off-road, huge difference. You can see it in my two sand dune videos when I have it vs when I didn’t.
Haha. We were living from hotel to hotel before getting this van. I recommend renting one before committing to buying, and if you buy, don’t buy a new one! Good luck!
Hi Thomas! Thank you! If I were to do it over again, I would definitely buy a used one with all the mods already installed, way cheaper and you save sooooo much time that way. Just make sure the van is still under warranty and it is transferable.
Honestly, after buying a new van, I don’t recommend it. I would wait to buy a used one with most of the upgrades already installed. You have to think about time and money to drive to the places to get it installed, if you have to leave it, then you have to get a hotel and a car rental. We did ours during the pandemic so it was crazy. With that said, the 2025 has some really cool upgrades.
Great video! I love that you provided the prices for all of the add-on. Van looks great! Have you done anything else, since this video? Mind if I ask, where did you have all of the work done?
Hi! Thank you. All Owl upgrades and suspension were done at Owl Van in SoCal and Phoenix. I highly recommend the Phoenix location over the SoCal. The others were done at CA Van… I don’t really recommend going to them for upgrades, my experiences with them were not great.
Thank you so much for the “lightning fast” reply! Most of all, thanks for the candid, honest feedback on your van upfitting and accessories. I am considering a new ‘25 Revel, and your tips and recommendations are soooo helpful and useful. I noticed you bought your Revel from NIRV. It appears they do a great deal of upfitting, and can have most of the work done prior to pick-up. So I am considering that. Based on your recommendation, will definitely do the suspension and fuel tank right off the bat! I’d like to add the GLSS as well, but CAV has not released new products for the 2025 model yet (the garage is radically different). Among other possible additions, is adding Startlink internet capability. So many things to consider! But it should be a fun journey! Again, thanks for your response. Love your channel. Especially your van travel videos! Stay safe and keep posting!!!
@@portdawg66you’re very welcome! So glad this video was able to help you! If you are considering buying a new van, I would definitely get it at NIRV Las Vegas, ask for Dennis, he’s great to work with. I would get all the installs when you place your order, it will save you so much time and money not having to book hotels and car rental as you wait for your installs. If you’re not in a hurry to get a van, I would wait to get a used one with all the installs and kinks worked out. It will be a long wait for the ‘25, but it will save you SOOO much money and time. Join the Revel Van Facebook group, they have very helpful resources. Good luck!
15:58 Your magnetic paper towel holder is one piece. It seems like such design is no more on Amazon. I see some two-piece designs (for different lengths or different uses) at the same price. Thank you for this info.
Hi @BearsCave! Thank you for watching and commenting! This is the one I bought: Kitchen Magnetic Stainless Steel Paper Towel Holder for Refrigerator, Grill, Toolbox (Magnetic-30cm-Black-B) a.co/d/iOq5i95
Oh, I missed it because I skipped all open-one-end design. The camera angle made me think yours was a two-closed-ends design that I preferred. Thank you so much.
Every time I see "off road" used in association with a Sprinter it makes me laugh. They are acceptable dirt road machines but once you get off a maintained dirt road and on to a dirt trail, or off road situation, they are not very practical due to the stiff chassis, long wheelbase, poor approach and departure angles and high center of gravity. Keep your "off road" wheeling within the ability of your van and you'll be ok. But if you think your van is a four wheeler, you'll be paying tow bills.
@rd4660 I actually went off roading a couple times, even twice in the sand dunes. Did I get stuck and a tractor needed to pull me out? Yes. But if we had some traction boards and a shovel, we would have gotten ourselves out. I wouldn’t recommend going off road if you don’t have the right equipment, but it is definitely doable in this van. Not all vans are made equally. ua-cam.com/video/M4w3rTpyBNo/v-deo.htmlsi=dhkRRIDFZWE-9Eqj

Hi! I think you are correct, I always get setting 1 and 3 mixed up.
Excellent upgrades to your Revel. Let us know how the Revel performed for you on the Road and Off and Camping too.

Your video just popped up! Nice upgrades on your van. Looking forward to more great videos!
Hi Charles, thank you for watching and for your comment!
Love how informative this is! Thank you!
Hi @MorienVPrakash, you’re very welcome! Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment!
my first upgrades would be the skid plates, extra gas tank and lift kit with sway bars then the roof top.
Hi Peter! Those are great upgrades! Thank you for sharing!
Homeless said hahaha!! That can muster cost you a fortune, like a house. I love it and I’m so jealous. Would love to have one the same

Hi! Nice video. Just so you know, you were pointing to the water tank. Fuel tank is the black one right above your face.
Oh… Haha! Thank you for clarifying that! It was my first time under there and that was the first tank I see so I just assumed.
Love the rig! We’ve been so on the fence about taking the plunge on one.

New to your channel. Love the van. You did a great job. 👍
Hi James! Thank you and welcome! 😊
Great set-up.
Looks awesome.
✌️
Thank you, Rpresley9534 😊
Very nice upgrades. Is it worth to get a 2025 or 2021/22 with doing some after-market upgrades?

Awesome upgrades but at those prices and installation charges you can almost buy another van! jeeezzz
Agreed, these prices are crazy.
12:22 Are clear Weathertech floor mats available? I want to put them on top of existing carpet.
I didn’t see a clear option when I bought mine.
9:59 I see there’s a spare tire by the exhaust. Do you carry two spare tires?
Hi @BearsCave!
Yes, that is an extra spare tire, some people replace that space with a bigger water tank if you need the extra water.
So what's the total cost ? 🤔
Too much 😭
Will you marry me? Queen
Wow somebody teach this poor girl how things work!!!!! 😮
Wow, my first hate comment. Thanks for making history for me.
@@iamseryen not a hate comment, just a cry for help!
