Just noticed a little Easter egg in the art when Garnet was telling the story of Rose. I'm sure those who know, knows this Easter egg. Only a few more episodes until the thing.
its good to see Lars progress, and even though he stumbles, he has enough growth to continue forward. I also love what that slight gag of Stevonnie having to shave means for representation for kids programming. Stevonnie was always assumed to be female presenting and Steven being so confident in his masculine and feminine sides just lead a lot of people to assume Stevonnie was a woman. However someone chooses to interpret them, there is enough celebration and ambiguity to make them a role model for so many people to aspire to.
@@AdmiralJota from a logical approach makes sense. But also there is enough ambiguity I feel that each viewer fill that mental detail in for themselves. no matter what those details are, Stevonnie is admired, impressive, desired, and always an experience.
As a nonbinary who is biologically female but has naturally high testosterone levels, seeing Stevonnie both present hyper feminine in their first introduction and then also have the moments with stubble makes my lil heart feel seen.
I know Harlock got a movie remake around the time SU was first coming out, but I'd like to think that was more of an easter egg for the older watchers! Seeing it on Lars took me right back to my childhood.

Given the way other fusions work, I always figured Stevonnie was probably hermaphroditic.
