A Quick tip could be that if you have for instance cut down alot of trees you can look at one of the logs and hold down E to pickup all of them around you.
You don't even need to look at anything, it's an aoe loot.
the rocks when you get the first crafting bench that can make marbles make alot cause 6 rocks make 20 marbles and rocks become essence at a 1 to1 where as marbles is 1 to 2 99 rocks is 99 essence whereas 99 marbles is 198 essence.
@@lordmech or you can go to the first essence trader, buy water for 10 and then dissemble the water flask into 40 essence... do this for 10 min and you can buy everything you want in the T0 essence range 🙃
When in build mode placing a foundation, you can hold R and scroll the mouse wheel to adjust the height of the foundation. That helps prevent grass clipping through your floors.

And hippos crashing your base.. but if you dont want your recruit to chop down trees and demolish your base then take their axe off them or at least unequip it. My guy Oscar ended one side of my building :(
Another good one is those chests that you find can be broken down with an axe, and they usually give you some of the more advanced materials, which lets you advance your crafting a bit easier. Also, if you pick up a bunch of rocks, you can make them into 'Simple Rock Marbles", which will greatly increase the amount of essence dust you get when you extract them.
Craft a maul, it has no other non-combat purpose but being amazing at smashing chests. Not to mention being THE robot and insect killer.
in the tutorial the island with berries me and my friends would STRIP that island of all resources and then any time we needed to we would extract essence and keep gathering gave us like 3k essence to start with
Use the Scyth to pick up plant fibre and standing twigs, you get them doubled
Wrong. You get whitout buffs 1 more whit makeshift and simple sickle!
With the favours, favour of power isn't the only option, if you wait a few seconds it cycles through other options you can pick, such as favour of soaring which gives you massive jumping ability with no fall damage
This is a fantastic tip, I had assumed they were random - never had the patience to watch it before picking it up.
Yeah, but the buffs wear off so fast I've never been able to use them to advantage.
You can also break those Fae Chests and Human chests for things like gilded wood, hinges, and brass ingots (It takes 1 brass ingot for the better storage mid game) and if you hold E instead of clicking every log that falls to the ground it just picks it all up

I will never play The Forest. Nightingale has the Bound which are as zombie/mutant like as I am willing to tolerate, but I am tired of Zombie Survival Games. I had over 2000 hours in Ark, and I can see myself doing as much in NTG it kind of fills the gap between what Ark was, and Conan is. It takes all the best qualities of both of those games.

@@jeremiahwilkins5837And beeing tecnicly Nighingale isnt a Survival.. Food dont restore hunger theres no need to drink water theres no fat or proteins to take. Ppl should not say that games that have a food boost system are survivals. Like ppl say that Rust its a survival.. Its not. The only think you really try to survive its the other players. Ark its much more complex like Conan Exiles. Nightingale its a grind and building and crafthing game. Enshrouded isnt a survival. Use same food boost system like Valheim did. Still more alike.
Yea I love this game, it's a bit of a slow burn but the more I play it the more I want to play it. Without giving specific spoilers how, I just got to a multiplayer hub and the game has changed quite a bit from what it was to me.
Hold "e" to aoe loot. You do not need to be pointed at anything for the "e" hold aoe loot. With the puzzles I've had up to 7 for the pylons and like 10 for the druidic ones. Double clicking moves full stacks between you and chest or follower. Your glide can be interrupted multiple time to conserve stamina on a long glide, also trees will interrupt your glide.
you can get a ton of essence dust (and some other stuff) from the challenges tab in your menu. claim your rewards!

51 tip! Destroy all the chests for very good and hard to craft materias early game!
Given the events of this week, the fact that you put time into this video is testament to the man that you are. Fantastic guide, and even though i am not going to get round to this game any time soon, i will certainly return to it for a reminder when the time comes.

32:45 They do indeed start to get tricky, but I found out you can shoot them to activate them as well.
Break the chests for materials too
Tip- go to trader and buy water bottle, take essence and buy more etc.
The placement of created items matters on most items so that they give you the best buffs, but the bedroll isn't one of them. The bedroll allows you rest either short or overnight but it's the same quality of rest regardless.
So if the bedroll inspect has a red arrow or two but still allows you to rest, then that's good enough.
Sometimes hitting different spots on a tree makes them fall faster. I was two chopping mid sized trees at times. Hard to pin down.
There's a sweet spot of gathering with the hunting knife with an attack and carve, so you can "double carve", hold e and be in your way.
If you're just gathering logs... follow the big monster deer cow thing. lol He'll help you out when he's pushing through some trees.
Then he regrows the forest
With stamina and the thinned veil card.. you can jump without the umbrella. The umbrella goes way further. You can also stop gliding mis flight build stamina as you fall then glide for further. Making any charm removes any bonus the materials have so no point using higher than tier 0
For me, the umbrella us so undependable. I have died jumping off cliffs or broke a leg multiple times attempting to get the umbrella to work. The only way it sometimes works is when pressing both F and Space bar at same time. Now I just run or climb everywhere instead.
Cairn is a Scottish word that means rough pile or rocks used as landmarks, and is pronounced care-n. The E is not pronounced as in Karen but more like Kar-n, Hope this makes sence and you can understand my description. You could also type the word into google where there is a Oxford English Dictionary result that says the word aloud, just press the blue speaker icon.

One note: make sure you grab any wood that your recruitable ally has in their inventory. The reason is that any time your ally goes near a fire they will add wood to the fire. It's a bug. Just make sure you grab wood that they are carrying regularly.
1:02:50 Great video! I'm looking for videos that are just past the Beginners part. I have Recovery but I can't apply it to anything. I am also looking to see how to upgrade to refined. I've downed two bosses now, but I suspect I should be able to. In Aid quests I'm already being asked to help with refined crafting stations, but I can't make the stuff needed to complete them. I went ahead and finished all the other sites on this realm hoping I would get new crafting recipes to no avail. Although I've only done Forrest, so maybe I need to help swamp and desert as well.
You forgot to always break down the Fae chests with the axe to get the carved wood and gilded wood needed for late game. making sure to be careful, that if given to companion they will try to burn it for fuel in smelter or camp fire.
build simple marbles from rocks collected, then, cash in the essence for the marbles LOADSA essence!!!

break the fer boxes down for special items you will need later.
Pro tip dont choose hard or extreme for your first realm i didnt his an mobs are lvl 40 its managagable till you try going into the astroglobe thing snd mobs are magical and lvl 70 its.imposible cause i only have lvl 40 gear. And i also found a pirate ship woth lvl 130.mobs lol
Can confirm, made this mistake as I am 'someone familiar with survival games, but not this one' per the description. Not worth it.
You can increase the difficulty of realms later, but having your abeyance realm that hard is pointless.
Always destroy found chests for high tier parts.
