I love this game, it's the new Ark for me. I loved Palworld, but I think this game has taken my attention. It hits all my favorite check boxes for open world survival games.
You can only set an Abeyance realm to your respite realm. You can build an estate cairn in an Antiquarian realm, but you will not be able to assign it as your one respite.
Found this out myself yesterday. Kind of bummed about it since I found the perfect location for a respite and spent hours building a homestead just to end up losing it.
I'm interested in your looting - you seem to loot multiple dropped items at once - how do you do this? Using kb&m on PC I seem to have to pick up each item one at a time.
@@otaku.plants Yea. Each Realm is quiet small, you can run from one side to another in 5-10 minutes. And there's so many quests to complete inbetween, that there wouldn't be much of a point to have a mount.
The #1 problem with this game is that you need to constantly be online. There should be an offline mode. Hopefully, in the near future, they can update it for offline play.
Played the stress test and picked up the game; my initial impression is holding true - this game was not ready for release yet. The last minute UI revamp needed more work, the combat needs work, animations really need work. The crafting system, while the framework is there, needs massive polish pass to remove the clutter. I am still confused how a game on this engine can look this good, but the characters (NPC/Player) look so bad, at least in the face area and proportions of the limps/head. The story needs a re-think, yes at least part is voice acted; the clicking to continue every moment or two is....tiresome at best. -- TLDR: there is a lot of good ideas, but the execution missed the mark and it feels like it was rushed out to Early Access for whatever reason.
But it's not released yet... It's in early access which is basically between Alpha and Beta builds. People have way to high expectations for early access games these days. I remember when early access games used to release as walking simulators basically. Early access has come a long way but it's STILL early access. If a game that isn't finished bothers you then early access games probably aren't for you.
yeah its funny bro i turned on performance mode and changed settings to quality from ultra quality and it made the game look better lol dont ask me how it just looks wayyyy better.
@@JeremyDeere Palworld definitely has a lot more going for it gameplay wise as an early access game, I don´t actually enjoy the game itself as it is but there is a lot to do. I think people have various expectation when it comes to early access, some games are a lot more polished than others and it creates unrealistic expectations.
@AurioDK My experience with Palworld has been positive but only because I have low expectations of early access games. The Pal pathing is horrendous. I can't get one session in where my Pals don't wonder off, get stuck, or not to do the task until I assign it multiple times in a row. The game has potential but as it is now it's a chore to play and makes gaming sessions short.
@@JeremyDeere I solved all that with a hunger mod from Nexus, I am too old and don´t have the patience to discipline naughty Pals who would rather sit on top of a tree doing nothing all day.

You have to hold e to pick up all items within pickup range instead of just pressing it
Needs way better controller support also
na its pretty decent? and his is big deal to me, seen far worse, changes to ui upset a few thinsg but its good enough imo
Kinda janky to be honest. Couldn’t even scroll through the vendor inventory with my controller
I give my follower a axepick. They farm both!
i prefer the WORST start and play on the hardest difficulty
Its not the full fame. Its early access
Are there no mounts??
Not yet.
@@dream_beats I don't like that. Kinda makes me feel so conflicted
Dont need mounts. Maps aren't overwhelming and you get basically unlimited sprint.
@@lukebyrne7946 ohh really?? That's good to know

What do you mean by this? Even if you’re playing completely solo?
Yes its how the realms work
@@shawnbell8830 why can’t you keep one realm for your home base n such? And keep traveling to others?
@shawnbell8830 It should be playable offline, regardless of how the algorithm works when it comes to random realms.
@standardfries Yup, even playing solo. It's a bit of a bummer.
Timestamps.

02:43 and that’s why console and controllers suck 😂
