I just did this today to my 98 Tacoma, using a set of ramps in my driveway. I followed this video. The only difference was that I sprayed the adhesive on the gasket instead of on the rim of the pan, I just didn't want to get glue into the pan that I had just so thoroughly cleaned. Other than that, it went exactly like the video. It saved me $120! Thanks Pros!
Absolutely outstanding, detailed, informative, clear, direct, to the point, with visuals and sound totally at the highest caliber. 👍🏻😉👍🏻🏎👍🏻🚙🇺🇸
Omg the music drove me crazy. I was trying to learn something!
On my '96 Tacoma 4x4 automatic the last guy that did this job really hosed me!
I invited some friends over for a party. We didn't bother to watch the video. We just turned up the music and danced to it all night long.
Nice video. I watched it this morning before performing the work on my wife's 2004 Tacoma. It made the process go much smoother. Nothing like being prepared! I didn't remove the dip stick tube. It wasn't a problem. The hardest part is getting the old gasket material off the pan! Thanks!
I have a 2002 Tacoma V6 Double-Cab 4x4 with an Aisin automatic transmission. My owner’s manual says to use Dexron III which is a GM ATF. GM upgraded their ATF to Dexron VI and it’s backward compatible to Dexron III. Make sure that you refer to your owner’s manual for the correct ATF and that you buy a licensed and approved OEM ATF.
great video.very professional.thank you very much
Great video.....this worked for me perfectly. My next project is to replace the oil pan gasket on a 1998 Toyota T100 SR5 6 cyl, 3.4, but of course there is a bar that is not allowing me to drop the pan. Is there any easy solution to dropping my oil pan. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I know some people when they have the pan off and old filter, they'll spray some carb cleaner to the surface of the transmission and let it drip dry while they do the other steps. Is that a good recommendation?
Well done.
Does anyone know if this is the A340E transmission designation? I am trying to buy the right filter/gasket kit to replace shift solenoids, but I see 2 different shapes of filter. There is an 8 digit transmission code on a sticker in the driver door threshold. Can anyone confirm from experience that the type shown in the video is for A340E? I have a 2001 4Runner with the 3.4 sr5 engine and hopefully the same transmission. Thanks!
Fantastic video! Thanks, guys!
Nice video. I have disconnected the transmission cooler lines by the radiator on my 99 Tacoma and using a Mighty Vac hand pump, got all but maybe 1/2 qt.? of the old ATF out,,,
I'm confused. The video shows T-IV fluid, & many others online say that they use the same. But my owner's manual recommends DEXII or DEXIII. I have an '02 Tacoma V6.
Great video. It helped me know what I was getting into before I started working on my 1996 Toyota Tacoma with the 2.4 liter 3rz-fe motor in it.
How about servicing the vehicle/transmission speed sensor replacement for 03 Toyota Tacoma 4 cyl. 2wd manual transmission?!!!!!!!!!
Will that transmission fluid type 4 work on my Toyota Tacoma 2002?
Best Tranni kit vlog on UA-cam I have seen for Toyota!
Very simple and clear instructions
