Hi, I am a bit confused with you assumption on the last example, as y could be negative and still allow the answer to be greater than 0
They could possibly both be negative numbers and still give an answer >= 0. Eg If x=-3 and y=-1.
just seeing the comment now, he does say that in the question, both x and y are positive real numbers

Sorry it wasn't clear Chris. In that last question. To prove that last question, you just reverse the order in which I wrote my working. A false proof, is just a direct proof written backwards.
