Also, thanks for watching. I know they're tough to get through, boring, shaky, rambling, etc. I am trying, little by little I hope they improve. I really want to thank you for your support. I have only 450 more hours of watch-time to go in order to get monetized. Fixing clocks for free doesn't pay very well, so I am hoping to make a little money from UA-cam to fund my passion. If I charged people what a clock repair shop would charge 99% of the clocks I save would go unrepaired. I can't let that happen to these sentimental treasures!

I can really tell through your knowledge and dialogue that you are really passionate about clocks and clock restoration. You have shown some beautiful clocks. I'm going to watch some more of your videos today to show my support. Keep up the great work that you do!
The clock is beautiful, especially the wood. It's rich, glowing, unblemished surface, when coupled with its age, intimates a type of quality well known in the era, but seldom seen today. Most things modern have a built in expiry date, meaning the things used to make an item can be of the quality to last ten or twenty or twenty five, but programmed to start breaking down, all of them around the same age. Something like this gorgeous clock was built to last, and after more than a century, with a little tune up and a bit of polish, it's ready for more! It wouldn't really cost people much more to make things of this high q quality. Money becomes an issue when if things don't keep dying on us,we don't have to keep on purchasing a new one. This clock will never go out of style. And it is so warm and delicious! 💓💛💚💙💜
You are right. Imagine if we only had to buy one of something that would last us 50 or 100 years. We wouldn't mind paying more for it, rather than having to re-buy 6 more in our lifetime. Thanks for watching. I know they're tough to get through, boring, shaky, rambling, etc. I am trying, little by little I hope they improve. I really want to thank you for your support. @@the_clock_guy You're doing something so worthwhile! I will continue to listen to your very interesting videos! Hang in there Clock Guy, you're doing fine!!! 💓💛💚💙💜🌺🌈
@Time4Clocks @The Clock Guy The world we live in, unfortunately, builds things in a calculated fashion to decay and die leaving us with the need for more. More phones, tv's, sofas, sewing machines, homes, cars, can openers, clocks, water bottles. Today company's compete for the position of who can make a certain thing for the least amount of money but still charge what everybody else does, or maybe even a little more!! Crappy materials, good advertising!! And they think they are good. But are they trusted??? In the old days, I'm sixty tomorrow, the company's competition centered around quality. Something was sturdy, long lasting, it was going to be handed down. They used the best materials. Ads? All they had do was put a photo in a magazine. They were good. They were trusted.
There should be an extra screw hole on the backboard to fasten the clock to the wall. Once you set it in beat and level the case, it should be screwed down. That way the clock does not shift when opening the door. That is what the hole is for and why it's important to use it.
Would you please do a vid on proper cleaning of clocks, particularly of the face? I messed up the face on mother in laws old clock long ago and she never really got over it.

I love it and I don’t mind the paint loss on the dial. It just shows the life it’s lived. I have a small clock collection but most of mine don’t work though I wish they did.
I have a new GoPro. I found a brand new one last year in an Aldi dumpster. My fear is that the shaking would be worse because I can't keep still. I will get it out and try it. I know I have issues with keeping a camera steady. I hear it every day from Frugal Mommy. (It is well deserved, helpful criticism.)
