I seriously don't like BJP sharing bed with NCP clan i.e. Ajit Pawar. That guy and his colleagues are known to been neck deep in corruption and simply obnoxious. BJP 'might' do well in LS election, but mark my words, BJP will fall flat on its face in state assembly election with this unholy alliance!
True I will not vote BJP if Ajit pawar aid will fight from my constituency
BJP will still come back to power. BJP doesn't have a presence where Ajit is strong.
Wondering why blame parties ? Who actually votes corrupts like Pawar ? Kejri ? Soren ? People like owaisi ateek in the name of my community ? Imagine Mrs Kattar being CM without any experience and aam party membership ! 👎 Rabdi ? Sonia ? Pappu ? do they really deserve ?
@@libshastrayou are misinformed. Bjp doesn't have presence where shivsena (United) was strong except for Mumbai. Bjp and NCP have been rivals so they definitely have presence in those seats
@@schizo_monke Lol no. BJP has a huge presence in Konkan ever since Narayan Rane joined them.
Actually
Dy. CM of Maharashtra - Mr. Ajit pawar was also given clean chit on the 70,000 crore Irrigation scam which was mentioned through CAG report by Mr. Devendra fadnavis himself in year 2013-2014 before the big Modi wave of NDA 😅
SG, you should let Manasi, Purva and others do a Marathi version as you do Hindi versions of your other articles.
Nakkich!
That would be wonderful
I love marathi. it is mitti ki boli refined by great saints. but the print's audience are educated pan india n indians abroad. to reach wider audience, they have decided to stick to both english n hindi. and remember, just as a shopkeeper want more n more customers, so does media. smart i'd say.
The idea of state centric discussion in this discussion is commendable. It was revealing to hear the inputs from the two young field based correspondents, esp. Purva. My Kudos to the Print. Keep it up.
I must admire Gupta ji for his efforts to fight elections on behalf of the Khangress.Medal is being made.

The Print is having of those faux paus moments - but its fine and normal - happens to all of us. So relax fellas, they must be figuring and will rectify it...
Yes
Site also seems down sadly
There is sound now
Sometimes sound is not available for first few minutes after the video is uploaded
MH will easily give the NDA 35+ seats, could also be 40+
42+ sure
48+😂😂😂😂
Nivadnuk PM sathi aahe. The Modi factor will prevail over all "chaos and confusion". Also, the experts forgot Gadkari. Don't underestimate Gadkari's popularity in Maha. NDA will win. Jai Shree Ram🚩
But bro, mi baghat ahe ki Shivsena voters and NCP voters are not supporting Shind and Ajit Pawar. Almost everyone is supporting Uddhav and Sharad pawar.
What do you think?
I’m not in currently in Maharashtra, I want to know what the ground situation is?

I would have appreciated if The Print had shown Maharashtra map with different regions marked just as they did for Karnataka. I gained a lot from such cartographical representation!
4 division of Maharashtra: Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada and Vidarbha
This is Indian standards. You have high standards.
Please please improve the audio quality...its a great put off...and easy to correct...pl invest in good audio mics...it seems shekarji is speaking from inside an empty well...
Is it not where he is speaking from all the time? The well of self-righteousness. 😂
Split by the BJP, so now all the curtains are down? Wasn't it Mr. Shinde led Shivsainiks who took control of the SS party and left UBT in a limbo.
So good to see SG and Mansi Phadke in one programme.
I love this new format for the elections. Please continue this until the polling ends.
I believe even after Loksabha elections the situation on the ground will look messy. But, for sure some pseudo party will perish. Which pseudo? Only people's vote will tell.
Mind you Congress is already decimated.
We should start a 'Shekhar Gupta's Muhavra' page to collect all those pearls of wisdom
Analysts think that voters are confused in Maharashtra as they are making it too complicated. I don't think the voters are confused. Divide voters into two categories Pro Modi and Anti Modi. The voters know which candidate is supporting whom very well and will choose 1 out of the 2 available options. It will be easy for the voter as it is a Loksabha election. In Vidhansabha, there will be a lot of confusion due to lack of Modi Factor that comes to around 10% more votes in favour of NDA alliance. I am from Maharashtra and pretty sure that it will be a 38-10 scoreline in favour of NDA in Loksabha. In assembly election, it will be a complete mess. Each faction may get 30-50 seats each with BJP getting around 75-80 but that is just a wild guess
NDA isn't getting more than 32 seats in Maharashtra until things change drastically in MH
well analysed.
I agree to a large extent. In Loksabha I too think it will be 38-10 in favour of NDA. But Assembly elections I m not sure right now.
Unlike last 2 elections, this election people are giving importance to Candidates. So I do not see people are divided based on pro or anti-modi. If not, BJP would not have needed to keep 5 phases in Maharashtra and bring Modi, Amit Shah for nearly around every seat to campaign. My estimate is NDA will not cross 30 seats this time in Maharashtra.
Are you sure voters know which candidate is pro-modi OR anti-modi? We had "Chandrakant Khaire" from NDA last time, who lost. People who voted him voted for Modi. Now they split up. So, it's not that straight forward I feel
A small addition to the Geographical division. Mumbai and Thane maybe large metros but geographically they are part of Konkan. The sahyadri mountain range divides Maharashtra into 2 macro regions, all the low lying coastal regions are considered Konkan and that includes Mumbai and Thane right from Gujrat border to Goa / Karnatak border. All on the plateau above the sahyadri ranges is "Desh" . This is not known even to most of the Maharashtrians as they think Mumbai is out of Konkan. Kudos to print to have mentioned this point. Thank you .
The format gives some interesting perspective based on field work and there are insights behind every region and their favorites. The division and shuffle of party candidates is making prediction a bit more complicated this time. The BJP Modi fever should take over though.
D K Singh, are you expecting entire NCP vote share will remain with Sharad Pawar? 22.25
"Ohhh. Coming from land of Modi ruled India?" 😅 been abroad for more than 10 years, its actually on other side, in EU ppl consider India is no longer Democratic bcoz of Modi
Sharad Pawar was leading Indi Aghadi and same time negotiating with BJP. This compelled BJP to make alliance with his breakaway nephew Ajit Dada.
This has changed the political map and Sharad is fighting to retain Baramati.
Politics make strange bedfellows and is more uncertain than uncertainty itself
Excellent format. Crisp yet informative. Reporters on ground followed by analysis by 2 seniors is a good way for us to understand. Looking forward to more of this from other states too.

Shekhar, there is a moral code in Maharashtra / no political parties have their banners / then how come on hoardings on buildings on streets we have huge cutout hoardings of BJP and PM Modi?? Can't the EC take suo motto and why is the opposition so Silent??
Sir The print is missing the nuances of Maharashtraian politics……and they even missed the unconditional support from MNS , Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi in their impact on vote shares
Liked this format
When u say Bombay u say Shivsena will b angry for saying so . Why only Shivsena , every Maharashtrian gets upset n angry as v don't understand why North Indians specifically dehlites call as Bombay. They never call Calcutta , Madras but say kolkata n Chennai .
Shekhar I am very sorry....

Appreciate for taking efforts in analysis of elections. My fundamental question is, do you believe there will be fare elections?
Truely Analysised
For a break, it's Good to see young faces in the Print, especially women who bring different thoughts and perspectives.
Women and rajneeti lol 😂
These ladies all suffer from deepikapression
A suggestion Print: if you're gonna do Zoom or Teams calls, try to do it indoor n avoid outdoor, as it requires more data transmission n can lead to more data loss/voice drops in between. (As we can see here for Purva Chitnis)
SG - How much you used to speak or discuss during Congress era ? Was that good or today's politics good .
Western Maharashtra will vote for Progress of the country and Hindutva.
Bullshit.. You may vote to save temples in UP.. We are not cowards like North Indians to need help from other's to save our religion. Western Maharashtra will vote to those who made western Maharashtra is one of the most developed area in India..

Congratulations for looking at Maharashtra seriously. Sadly nobody is taking Maharashtrian voter into account in this discourse. Maharashtra votes differently that the rest of India, especially Hindi belt.
Sectoral voting patterns were not dicussed in depth the way Karnataka was discussed in depth. In many ways Delhi takes our state for granted politically and this is reflected in your discussion also.
Thank you, Swati, for appreciating and supporting our journalism. Maharashtra is an extremely important state, not least because of the number of MPs it sends to the Lok Sabha. Political reasons, is ECI not an independent body
Why does this guy insist that " If BJP has to be stopped inside 370". The first two rounds of polls nationally have shown BJP is most probably not getting anywhere close 370 which is a 75% seat share . Unless he knows something that others dont
Bhakt DK Singh also ends it with Modi factor. Keep it up 😅😅😅
A strange balance between dictatorship and freedom that existed before! As some people say it is not the economy either. What is it then?

What have they done for Maharashtra for Marathi people taken away projects from Maharashtra to Gujarat???thats what they did. They didn’t do anything for Marathas sc st and they know they’ll not get Maratha votes that’s why they’re desperate to include Maratha leaders like Ajit Pawar Ashok Chavan

Shekhar needs to discuss PM speech calling a community infiltrators. This is not acceptable.
The community is Muslims. They created a separate country for themselves in 1947. Rohingyas and Bangladeshis can go there or any of the other 56 Islamic countries.
He did not call community as infiltrators, he called illegal migrants as infiltrators
@@sankalp6872same community fought with shivaji Maharaj against Mughal 😅

which Rohingya or Bangladeshi was in Shivaji's army? The reference is to these illegal infiltrators. They have been deliberately encouraged by some border line states and supported by internal forces against Bharat.
This was a real good show, we need more on 2 crucial states Maharashtra and West Bengal. Good to see Print moving away from its obssesion of Pakistan and North India. The LS polls have got you near to your own brethen in the rest of India.
All candidates on their own across the country aren't showing the commitment that Modi provides. So all are making hey when the sun is shining.

Very tough fight in Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar ignited cast based hate politics like Haryans Jats , Marathas particularly in Marathwada became mad for reservation, practically Maratha control Schools, Colleges, Milk dearies, Co op banks , Sugar factories, having chief minister for maximum time , All other must come together to defeat evils design of Sharad pawar , or Situation in Maharashtra will horrible, state loosing grips in industrialisation. Situation is such Sharad Pawar will retain ground in Western Maharashtra, will gain in Marathwada , BJP , Shinde sena will dominate Kokan , Mumbai , Vidharbha BJP will erode.
Sharad pawar is going to loose baramati & this is fact
STFO.. Fadanvis called his party OBC and you blamed it on Pawar. BJP is one of the worst party which divide people among caste during election.. In Karnataka they do lingayat, in Maharashtra OBC,UP non Yadav OBCs, In haryana non jat.. You people think you are only doing clean politics but you guys are one of the worst castiest people.
Shut up bjp actually has never been Maratha party so why will Maratha voters vote for them. They present themselves as obc party and work as Brahmin party

Sharad Pawar is only present in 3.5 districts. But a lot is made out of him. Other districts he is hated for his chameleon character.
