I haven't read 'My Roommate is a Vampire' but I have seen a lot of people be disappointed by it. I read half of 'Piranesi' and was really enjoying but then I put it down for two days and just couldn't get back into the writing when I went back to it. I really want to give it another shot in the future, though!

Ohhh we could read My Roommate is a Vampire for the bookclub! I have this and have been saving it to read in September/October this year. So I mean I'm down if that ends up happening 😁. Love the haul. I've really been trying to be good lately and I'm only successful occasionally. 😂 We'll just be book buying addicts together.

The Good Sister is my favorite Sally Hepworth(I’ve read 4 of her books)… I recommend the audiobook as the narration adds to the neurodivergent experience
A Million Kisses in Your Lifetime was a cute read(I only read that one book of the series and I was fine with that)

i know this is very out of topic, but i know lauren reads the zodiac academy series and i'm considering starting it too, but i'm very new to the fantasy genre so do you think it's easy to read or should i read more fantasy first?
It’s not hard at all to get into! The best way I can describe the series is more of a ‘darker bully romance’ that is set in a fantasy world.
The first couple of books focus a lot on the characters and as the series goes on more fantasy aspects and political intrigue are introduced to the plot!
It’s a very long series and has a lot of jarring elements at first, but if you fall in love with the characters it’s definitely worth continuing!
Lapnova is the WEIRDEST book i've ever read. And I've read some pretty bizarre stuff lol

I was so excited for My Roommate Is A Vampire but it put me in one of the biggest slumps of my life. I read it in November and should've just dnfed but powered through and I've only read 2 books since. ☹️ I'm probably in the minority but it was just so dull. I didn't feel the chemistry at all and the neither of the main characters were even slightly likeable imo. Even just seeing the cover on my Goodreads makes me not want to read anything.

Agreed! Cute for younger teens maybe but not adults. Dull and boring. Try the 7 year slip or all Rhodes lead here. Much more fun and great characters ❤ I got copies from the library 😊
